HELP - I NEED TO TRANSFER ALL IPOD PICTURES TO WINDOWS

PLEASE HELP! I NEED TO TRANSFER ALL MY PHOTOS THAT ARE ON MY IPOD TO A WINDOWS COMPUTER HARDDRIVE - PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DO THAT!
also, if anybody has personal contact with macmuse - can you please ask him about this - b/c he posted something about doing this with music files - i need to do it with pictures, and once my pics are on my ipod, there are on a different format - so how can i transfer them to a windows hard drive in a viewable format. THANKS!

YamiPod extracts songs from your iPod to computer. Read the site if it takes all data, but I'm not exactly sure if it does the same to pictures.
If that doesn't help, try searching the forums for your problem and come back here if this doesn't solve it

The pics came fro your computer in the first place.  They should still be there and you should always have a backup copy.

  • I've recently brought an iPhone 5c and I want to transfer all my pictures and phone numbers over from my old 4s without using iTunes how can I do this as there's already a iPhone synced to the laptop I would use to back it up

Just need some help. As the question says I need to transfer all my numbers pictures videos onto my new iPhone 5c from my 4s but as the laptop I would use has already got my partners iPhone linked to it I can't back it up as it just syncs all there stuff onto it to. How else can I do this without linking it to the computer?

What does the family WiFi have to do with iCloud? iCloud is on Apple's servers.
If it is a shared computer what you can do is create a new user ID on the computer. Log in with the new ID. This will give you a "clean" iTunes library that you can use for backing up the the old phone and syncing the new phone.

  • Phone screen is blank, I need to transfer all data

My phone (Accolade LG-VX5600) got broken at the hinge, and now my screen is blank.
I need to transfer ALL data to a new phone, but in the mean time I want to transfer everything to my computer. I downloaded LG pc sync which enabled downloading my contacts and calendar reminders. Now I'm looking for a way to do the same with my photos and text messages. BitPim does not support my model.
I'd prefer to do it for free.

I can understand your desire to transfer your photos and text messages to your PC, malpa. You won't be able to transfer your messages to your PC, but you can forward them individually to an email address. All you'll to do is enter the email address where you would usually enter the wireless number.
Your device does not offer mass storage. You can transfer your pictures using your text message  application. Attach the picture to a text message forward it to an email address. I hope this helps you save your precious memories. Have a great day.

  • Need to transfer all my photos from iPhoto app in my computer to another one, which files do I need to copy?

Need to transfer all my photos from iPhoto app in my computer to another one, which files do I need to copy?

You need to find your iPhoto Library and copy this package to your other computer.
By default the library will be called iPhoto Libary.photolibrary and located in your Pictures folder. YOu will recognize it by the typical "fan of pictures" icon. The color of the icon wil depend on the iPhoto version. What is your version of iPhoto?

  • My laptop got stolen so i need to transfer all tunes/photos etc onto my new macbook any ideas?? Thanks

    My Laptop was recently stolen
so I need to transfer all my itunes contacts photos etc from an iphone/ipad onto a new mac book any ideas ???
    Thanks

PhoneView will allow you to copy your information to your MacBook.  Before you connect your phone to your MacBook be sure to launch iTunes, go to Preferences>Devices and check the box to Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing.  If you don't, iTunes will initiate a sync wipe your phone.  You need to copy your content off your phone/ipad and rebuild your iTunes library before syncing.

  • I'm new to iPhone (4) and need to transfer all my contacts from Treo (windows mobile)...any tips?

I'm new to iPhone (4) and need to transfer all my contacts from my old Treo 750 (windows mobile)...any suggestions?

You need to import the contacts with a supported address book application on your computer.
With Windoze, this can be with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes, or with the address book application used by Outlook Express with XP and by Windows Mail with Vista and Windows 7 called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
There should be Palm desktop software available for your computer that includes the Treo contacts which should include an option for exporting the contacts in a format that is supported for import by Outlook or Windows Contacts.
Syncing contacts with a supported address book application on your computer is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

  • Does "restore from the back up of" transfer ALL data (pictures, songs, apps) from the old ipod?

I have recently got a new ipod touch 4th generation from my apple warranty and I am currently setting my new ipod up through itunes.  I have come across the stage where it say "Restore from the backup of (my old ipods name)" and was wondering whether this would transfer all the data (pictures, songs, apps etc) from my old ipod to my new ipod? Thank-you

Just for clarification, the apps themselves, music and photos synced to the iPod have to be on your computer to be preent on your iPod after restoring from backup.  The backup does not contain those items, then are always synced from the computer,

  • Computer Hard Drive Crashed - Need to Transfer from IPod to New Computer

The hard drive died on my old PC as I was transferring files to the new PC. Most data made it but my daughter's ITunes was not one of the things that made it. Fortunately the tunes all still exist on her IPod. How do I transfer them on to the new computer and ensure the music all makes it? She has a combination of music purchased from ITunes and music from CDs. Her IPod is an older mono screen model but I believe we had ITunes 6.x or later on the old machine if that makes a difference.

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • HELP!  Multiple sections document - ALL MY PICTURES HAVE CHANGED!!!!

    Hello,
Does anyone know what the heck is going on here? I have a multiple sections document created yesterday, 150 pages (! over 10 + hours of work!!!), different articles copied from word documents, with about 3 different pictures per article. I spent the bulk of my time resizing and object wrapping many different photographs NOW ALL THE PICTURES (EVERY ONE IN ALL 150+ PAGES!) HAVE CHANGED TO THE SAME 5 PICTURES FROM THE LAST ARTICLE ADDED. Every picture is now changed!!! It did not look like this last night. PLEASE! ANYONE HELP HELP HELP. I'm calm now but seriously this was a lot of work to just throw out...

OK, after looking further and running some tests, I have found an interesting situation. PAGES does NOT copy info when it copies a picture, why is this??? EX: Document "A" Has a paragraph of text and a picture called "house" - in the info portion of the inspector, it tells me it is called "house" when I click the picture. If I then copy and past the contents of the page, or drag and drop the picture, or copy and paste just the picture, the picture appears in Document "B" BUT NONE OF THE INFO FOR THAT PICTURE COPIES OVER. Why for the love of all...Why wouldn't it copy the info when it copies the picture? How can I make it do that? How can I paste the picture and make sure it has not only info but also actually MAKES it to the PACKAGE CONTENTS AREA!!!! Thank you for your help. Seriously, thank you to anyone who even attempts to figure this out.
