Help i think ive messed up my n80

i updated firmware yesterday as the n80 isnt the most stable phone out
anyway all went well , upgraded from 3.something to 4.0923.0.42
only trouble is that the phone is now even more unstable and so sloooooooow
locks up at random and when it dont lock up its very very slow to do anything

Try performing a hard format and see if this helps. Or you could alsways re-install the firmware. It may just be a slight glitch which could be resolved from re-installing.

HELP MEEE think i messed up :(

ok so all i wanted to do was change my username on my mac so i googled it and followed this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDHyxyA3amg it has really bad audio so i couldn't really hear to much of what he was doing..
anyway i did it all like the video shows when i logged out of my account i clicked other user and I'm sure the guy said type ROOT as username and the password which i typed into the video changed my username (which i now realise i could just right click and go to advance options and change it that way)
now i log back into my main username and all my filed are hidden or gone its almost like all my settings have been reset to default even my mouse speed has changed..
now they aren't deleted because i go to disk utility and check the space on my HD and from 750gb i got 7gb left which is the same as before.. so is there a way i can undo what ever the **** i did lol

when i go to Mac HD > users it has adam which is my new name and adamandash which is my old one but these are both accessable from the one log in.. all the files i want are on User name adam but the finder/downloads folder/documents folder everything in the left drop down tabs when you open up finder are set to search in adamandash which i need it to search in adam so am i able to set finder to search for all users or able to get finder to search for just adam.
The reason i did this is my mac was set up by my ex girlfriend and she called it adamandash so when i go to users there is a little symbol of a house and its called adamandash i wanted to change that to something else e.g adam but i some how messed it up now i have 2 different user folders under the same log in

I think I messed up. How to uninstall iLife disc and keep existing iPhoto.

Ok. I was reading some other answers but didn't see this one. After upgrading to Mavericks 10.9.5, I began having problems with editing in iPhoto.
And upon opening iPhoto, it would take forever. Usually I just minimize it in the dock. So, if I do too much editing to my photos, they come out half overexposed and half normal. No rhyme or reason. No particular photos. Just random. Only if I do a lot of editing. I have to revert the photos and only do a little editing. Annoying. Spoke with Apple support for 2 hours. we tried everything he could think of. Nothing fixed it. He thought it might be a glitch in the software so he sent me a new iLife disc. Now when I bought this iMac in 2009, it already had iPhoto on it. No disc for that particular application. So the disc he sent me was the bundled version iLife '11 for version 10.6 or later. Now here's where I think I messed up. I didn't delete my existing iPhoto before I clicked and installed the new disc. (My icon is the orange palm tree BTW) so after install was complete, I clicked on it and it and the icon got a white circle with a line through it and a pop up that read, " Please run software update to install it now. it offers two buttons to click...."Software Update" and "OK". When I click on the software update, it takes me to the Yosemite upgrade feature (which I don't want). What did I do?? iPhoto won't open at all. Now I just want to forget this disc and go back to my screwed up iPhoto version. Help???

Nevermind. Fixed the issue. Had to go back and install the earlier versions.

I think ive crack iTunes match

After many days and hours of messing around with itunes match i think ive worked it out,
Basicaly out of 8000 songs i had 200 errors and some stuck on waiting status even after repeatin the steps over and over again.
so what i did was change the imported file type within iTunes from ACC to AIFF and added that copied files to Imatch then deleted the orignal from my
pc and from iCloud, rescan and all but a couple match or uploaded.
Happy days and im finally happy as its taken nearly a week.

HT201304 oh, my God. Was anything ever so poorly explained as the use of one id for multiple devices? who, where can anyone help sort out the mess that has developed?

I have used my iphone 4s for over a year. Recently, I bought two ipod touch devices, one for each of my children. While attempting to set up their ipods, even with email advice from apple, we have become utterly confused as to whose apple id is on whose phone/ipod, why some apps automatically appear on two devices but not on the third (it varies). Most worryingly, in app purchases is DISABLED on my iphone but my children can still purchase in-app purchases without my knowledge and have run up bills (fortunately not huge bills). Why would anyone want to allow this???? If I have consciously disabled in app purchases under my apple id on my iphone, why would the default on another device be to allow in app purchases, when using my apple id?
When setting up my children's apple ids, I wanted them to have their own apple id to avoid this kind of confusion but we got warnings that they were not allowed to have an apple id (presumably too young?) . But they have got their own ipods and should be able to purchase items using itunes cards so why cant they have an independent apple id? And what's the difference between the apple id and the itunes id?
Is there anyone who can help clear up this mess?

You have to diasable in app purchases on the device itself, NOT the id.
If you want in app purchases disabled on the ipods, then you will have to do this on the ipods themselves.

I think I messed up my mac install by installing windows 8

Yesterday I tried to install Windows 8 on a Mac Mini using boot camp. I am new to Macs so when the windows installer told me it could not install to the Boot Camp created partition because it was not NTFS, I told it to wipe the partition and install it to the blank partition. Now I can run Windows 8 but nothing I do lets me back in to OSx. If anyone has any suggestions they would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think you "messed up" your Mac.
Read the Boot Camp guide and then install using Boot Camp Assistant. But first, you need to repartition and format that hard drive and reinstall OS X and your other apps and data to it; hopefully you have a very recent backup.

I think I have Macvx on my iMac late 2012 21.5 running the latest OS.
I am getting heaps of ads in my web browser.
I have seen similar question from other people and responses explaining to find and search for it in your applications menu but I can't find anything that relates to it or that was installed recently.
I have even looking in the library and through spotlight search searching the specific words Macvx and Vidx.

Tried BIOS flash, but I think I messed up.

Well, things look bleak. I flashed my K8N Neo2 to Syar's BIOS by using a CD with an ISO image burned on it. I booted up and the computer read the CD, I typed Flash.bat and it installed the BIOS. This is where I think I messed up. Instructions told me to shutdown, turn off PS and unplug. Then clear CMOS etc. I did all this, but I turned off the power supply instead of shutting down. Since I was in DOS I did not know how to shutdown while in DOS. Rooky mistake. I think I should have pressed and held the CPU power button.
Now, all I get is a blank really black screen. Any hope??? Or is it new MB time?

Have you tried to reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery and leave it to 10-30 mins? Make sure you removed the power cord as well as power connectors connected to your mobo. After you've removed it set it all the default setting and tried to reflashed it. Gd luck

I was updating the Firmware in a brand new N80 and the PC decided to reboot half way through the process. Now the phone will not even power on.

Good idea - but remember one thing - if you read the title of this post "Re: Help - PC Rebooted half way through an N80 FW Upgrade" it states that the PC rebooted - and Nokia has no control over this element of the proceedings unfortunately.
You could make a point that Nokia should have make the NSU more capable of recovering a phone in case of a previous failure, and this could indeed come in future incarnations of the application, but the PC will always be an element of the proceedings which are a "wildcard" in the sequence of events.
I'm pretty certain for every user who has reported a problem upgrading their firmware, there's probably about 6 or 7 (if not more) that have upgraded without problems - the trouble is that you don't hear about it because they haven't experienced any issues !
I myself have upgraded my firmware on the N70 and N95 two or three times without any problems.

You have 2 text links with NO text and you have an image with
a third link that the image is not showing up, that image is
supposed to be at "images/indexgif.gif" check that the image and
folder are on your server, All those links point to "template.html"
which is not on your server either.
You should first check if it works on your computer where you
have the files, if so, just uploa everithing again,

I think I messed up something..... HELP!!

Hey Guys I just wanted to start off by saying i have never owened any Apple product before in my life and I need some help because I am not familiar at all! here is my situation:
So about 6 months ago my Grandfather passed away naturally in his sleep, it shook my family since he was only 63. After all of his belongs got split up, I ended up getting his MacbookPro about a week ago. I was excited as now I had a macbook and didnt have to pay anything for it! Well i think i might be wrong. So i opened up his laptop and it went right to his desktop page so I was clearly excited that he had not had a password set! So clearly I didnt want all my Papas old and personal stuff, so i looked up how to reset a Macbook Pro to stock, and it seemed very easy to me! I rebooted it, Pressed Command+R, went to the Hard drive page, and wiped it. The instructions claimed all I had to do was hit the button to reinstall Mountain Lion and I wouldn be good. Well that was not my case; as when i went to "reinstall" it told me I couldnt do that and I didnt have the rights? I dont have it right in front of me right now, so i dont have the exact message but it says to contact applecare or something? So guys here is my question, what is the simplest and easiest way for someone like me with no Mac product experience, to get this thing run with a Fresh OS? I dont even care if its not the newest and greatest OS, I just want to get this thing to start up so I can give it my little brother.Can applecare just get it on for me? I seriously have no idea what to do. Any help woulf be greatly appreciated!!

If Mountain Lion was already installed when you took possession of the MBP, you should post in the OS X Mountain Lion forums. The experts over there will show you what to do.

I Think I Messed Up...Can You Help?

Ok, so I thought I could drag my "applications" into the dock and make a stack. I guess i was wrong. Once I did the click, drag and drop to the right side of the dock.....POOF!! my applications folder was gone in a cloud of dust. It's not in my trash or in the finder anymore. Is there someone who can help me get back my application folder? TIA!!

If you click on your hard disk icon you should still find it. Or try typing applications into spotlight. It should appear under 'folders'.
