Help - I think my company's exchange server has jacked my yahoo email

Hello,
I just got my Galaxy SIII phone last weekend.  The other day, while connected to the wifi at my work, I attempted to add my work email by trying to connect to the exchange server here. I got connected, then I got a message indicating that my other email accounts would be disabled! So I backed out and deleted the account.  However, now I am unable to send email through yahoo or gmail, and I can only receive email when the wifi is turned off.
Please help.  Is there a way to reset to factory standards?
Thanks,
Joe

Oh no joren. All the extra security measures associated with firewalls at work may have affected your phone's security too. Does the same trouble occur when you are on a WiFi that's not your work account? If you attempt to access your Gmail or Yahoo when on WiFi, do you get an error message?  A reset to factory settings for your S3 is easy and the steps are at http://vz.to/LfV00q if you'd like to reset.

  • How do I find if IMAP is enabled on my company's exchange server

I am thinking that IMAP is enabled on my company's exchange server. How ever, I cannot connect to the the exchange server using my iphone?
Can some one enlighten me if they have got this working?
    telnet abc.xyz.com 143
    Trying xx.yy.ww.zz...
    Connected to abc.xyzcom.
    Escape character is '^]'.
    * OK Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 IMAP4rev1 server version 6.5.7638.1 (abc.xyz.com) ready.

Thanks much for your response. Still scratching my head off
Here is what I found. I can telnet my company incoming mail server on port 143 & outgoing mail server on port 25 only when I am VPN'd in. When I am not VPN'd in I cannot telnet and get a response from them. telnet on incoming mail server on port 993 with and without VPN'd in does not get any response.
Can you verify if you can telnet your company mail servers from your terminal without VPN'ing in?
Mail app on my mac talks with exchange and works only when I am VPN'd in. It does not work when I am not VPN'd in.
    Thanks

  • Looking for help with respect to configuring MS Exchange server to handle attachments over 10 MB for forwarding to Salesforce (Email-to-case).

Looking for help with respect to configuring MS Exchange server to handle attachments over 10 MB for forwarding to Salesforce (Email-to-case).
Problem - SFDC does not create cases from emails that have more than 10 MB of attachments. Our clients will not go-live if their clients cannot send in emails with attachments over 10 MBs
Potential resolution - Configure MS exchange to strip off the attachments(if over 10 MB) and store it in a public folder, forward the email to Salesforce (so the case gets created or the email
is associated to an existing case), the client should have some way to know if the attachments were stripped off and should be able to dlownload the attachments and continue with case resolution.
    Any help is appreicated!
    Thanks

    Hi,
From your description, you want to achieve the following goal:
Configure Exchange to filter the attachments if the size is over 10 MB and store it in a public folder, and then forward the email to Salesforce.
Based on my knowledge, I'm afraid that it can't be achieved. Exchange can filter messages with attachments, but it couldn't store these attachments on public folder automatically. Also, I don't see any transport rule can do it.
    Hope my clarification is helpful.

  • How do I get the Windows 8.1 Mail/Calendar/People apps to connect to my company's Exchange server?

I have a Surface Pro 2 on my organization's domain, and while I have Outlook 2013 running fine on the desktop side, I'd really like to connect the Mail, Calendar, and People apps to my work Exchange account if possible.
First, a little background on my company's Exchange configuration, which is "extra secure" variety. Obviously, I'm using generic placeholders here. My email address is
[email protected], but our actual Exchange server is exchange.internaldomain.com, and my actual username is lasfir (first 3 of last name, first 3 of first name). I'm not 100% clear on our certificate process,
but from what I understand from talking with our Systems team, it's a self-signed certificate.
Anyway, when I try to add my account, I get the usual email address and password prompts. I enter
[email protected] and my password, which don't resolve. The app returns "we couldn't find settings for
[email protected] Provide us with more info and we'll try connecting again."
So I add the internaldomain as the domain and lasfir as my username and click Connect again. This time it returns "we still couldn't find settings for
[email protected] Providing this additional info may help. If you don't know this information, search online or check with your provider."
So I enter exchange.internaldomain.com as my server address and click Connect again. This time it returns "to connect to this account, you need a valid certificate on this PC. Contact your system administrator for more info." That tells me at least
it's finding my Exchange server, but I have no idea about the certificate thing. I reached out to our Exchange admin and our Systems guys, and they just weren't sure about the certificate process.
As one of the few people in my organization running Windows 8x, I'm a bit of a guinea pig for stuff like this. Any advice how to get this working?
    - Greg

It doesn't sound like the Exchange environment is configured in a manner to support these types of clients very well.  Have your Exchange team look at the following
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2012/11/26/supporting-windows-8-mail-in-your-organization.aspx
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2013/10/18/supporting-windows-mail-8-1-in-your-organization.aspx
From the latter article: "Communications applications can connect to a corporate Exchange service
configured to require certificate-based authentication. User authentication certificates can be provisioned to Windows 8.1 devices by administrators or end-users can browse to certificate and install to user certificate storage."
    You might want to:
Ask your Exchange team the public URLs (ExternalURL) for Exchange OWA & ActiveSync
Open the OWA URL in your Internet Explorer from your Surface
If you get a Certificate warning, open the certificate and select Install (NOTE: You may have to install the entire certificate chain).  Your desktop support team should be able to support this because it is the SAME process for standard Windows 8x
    desktops.
Confirm that you can open OWA on your surface with no more certificate or security warnings.  NOTE: The Exchange team will have to configured OWA properly.
Once confirmed, repeat the same steps for the activesync URL that they provided.
When done, try using the OWA OR ActiveSync URL value in your settings of your Mail client.
    Good Luck

  • Need help with Outlook 2013 connecting to Exchange server(2010)

    Hi
I need help with Outlook 2013 and with my exchange server(2010) email account
After setting up account initially emails come in and than after an hour or two stop. My OWA is working fine with no issues. I have even created a forward rule in OWA to my GMAIL account whch works fine
However Outlook 2013 is not syncing messages, have difficulty in sending emails sometimes as it takes too long.  In fact the connection also is intermittent. Even if the task bar shows connected to exchange, it seems that is not the case since new emails
and any emails I compose dont work.  I have trouble shot the issue with my ISP and email service provide, but they havent resolved the issue  I have also done a TraceRoute and that shows no drops or problems to he exchange server.
Can someone please help me resolve this matter so I can continue to use Outlook 2013( running Windows 8.1) in both my computers which have the identical problem
Look forward to a solution soon
    Thanks

    Hi Angela
    Thanks for your message
To answer your questions, please note the following
    a) My account is set up in Cache Mode( not online mode)
    b) I am the only other user on the account
    c) When the connection to the exchange server is broken, I see upon clicking connection tab that there is no information in the box, and when I press reconnect it starts showing "connecting"
    d) When the connection to the server is there, it shows  connection as "established"
    e) Sorry I dont understand th meaning of CAS array in your environment?  Can you pls explain
Since yday I have been using Outlook 2010 on desktop and Outlook 2013 on my laptop using Exchange 2013 account.  So far all emails are syncing, and I can send emails from both computers. However, I am concerned that the connection can break-off anytime,
as it has done that in the past on both outlook versions.  The max time it has worked without any problem is 48 hrs and than after that the same issue of not connection, not syncing and unable to send emails happens
My ISP has checked and there is no network connectivity issues. My email service provider has trouble shot the issue many times, but to no positive results.  I have also changed the profile a few times, but the intermittent connectivity problem hasn't
    been resolved.
Can you identify the possible causes and more importantly a working permanent solution please
    Thanks
    Mahesh

  • Can't access my company's exchange server

Several other people here have their various phones hooked into our exchange server. Apparently it involves installing a certificate. Is this even possible with the iPhone?
On top of this, I can't access my companies web accessible exchange server on the browser either. It just keeps trying an never returns.
So, at this point, I can't use my iPhone for one of the main reasons why I bought it.

Well, I finally was able to access my exchange server via the web access today (still can't access through setting up mail server via IMAP/Exchange though).
I was able to hit our mobile access point at https://mail.companyname.com/oma. Not a very pretty interface but it worked. So, after that I tried hitting https://mail.companyname.com/exchange again and it worked! Apparently I was able to negotiate a connection via the oma site and then the exchange site was able to use it. Still not the IMAP/Exchange integrated access that I want, but at least I do have access to my mail now.

  • Exchange Server 2010 SP3 test environment - email flow to/from internet

Today I set up test environment for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 - domain controller running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Exchange Server 2010 SP3 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and client computer running Windows 7 Pro SP1 x64 with Outlook Pro 2010 x64. These
machines are VMs on vSphere 5.0 cluster made of 4 esxi 5.0 hosts.
I have three years of experience in working with Exchange Server 2010 in my production environment but until recently I have not had enough resources to build a test environment. Does "testing" Exchange Server 2010 infrastructure have
a real life purpose considering the fact that only internal email flow is possible since authoritative SMTP accepted domain is not hosted anywhere thus not visible to outside world. This limited email flow combined with absence of possibility to test
ActiveSync, Outlook Anywhere, OWA from WAN, . . . really hurt and make Exchange Server rare technology that can not be tested completely before introducing something new into the production. Services that are not possible to test from the outside world are
useless and whole point of Exchange-like technologies is availability from anywhere and from whatever device.

I set up Internet Send Connector (by default this type of send connector uses DNS MX records to route email automatically). Having sent an email to my gmail account I did not receive it and in transport logs I saw that mx record was found successfully
but there is the following line:
2014-08-05T20:39:51.942Z,Internet Connector,08D17F000FE36010,1,,2a00:1450:4013:c01::1b:25,*,,"Failed to connect. Error Code: 10051, Error Message: A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable network 2a00:1450:4013:c01::1b:25"
I tried also to send an email to my production email address (we have Symantec Messaging Gateway which is used as a smart host (antispam, antimalware, content filter appliance)) but then error is:
2014-08-05T20:50:08.395Z,Internet Connector,08D17F000FE36019,1,,91.238.7.10:25,*,,"Failed to connect. Error Code: 10061, Error Message: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 91.238.7.10:25"
Telnet from test exchange to 91.238.7.10 on port 25 also is not working.

  • Exchange Server Attachment filter blocking copier emails???

    Randy1699 wrote:
I had the same issue early on with my copiers.  You need to allow the ip addresses of the copiers to send email to the Exchange server.  You do this by adding the copier ip addresses to the receive connector of the Exchange server as allowed devices.
Is this solution related to attachments? Because as soon as we disable our rule blocking attachments, everything works again. By adding the IP address, does this basically bypass the attachment rules? Or are we on the same page?
    Thanks!!

We recently updated our exchange server to block numerous different types of e-mail attachments. We however allow all the normal word, excel, pdf etc. However when we turned the policy on, it specifically broke the Sharp copier machines that send attachments via e-mail. (Other brands work just fine). All the copiers are set up to send PDF's...which is allowed.Does Sharp Copiers use some obscure behind the scenes file type during transit that I'm not aware of?Any suggestions??Below is the attachment types blocked:ade.adp.app.asp.bas.bat.cer.chm.cmd.com.cpl.crt.csh.der.exe.fxp.gadget.hlp.hta.inf.ins.isp.its.js.jse.ksh.lnk.mad.maf.mag.mam.maq.mar.mas.mat.mau.mav.maw.mda.mdb.mde.mdt.mdw.mdz.msc.msh.msh1.msh2.mshxml.msh1xml.msh2xml.msi.msp.mst.ops.pcd.pif.plg.prf.prg.pst.reg.scf.scr.sct.shb.shs.ps1.ps1xml.ps2.ps2xml.psc1.psc2.tmp.url.vb.vbe...

  • Getting server unavailable message for yahoo email

Please can someone help? Cannot access my yahoo email now on ipad as keep getting error message saying "server unavailable" - tried to delete the account and retry but still keeps happening! Help .....

This is how I fixed it on my new iPhone 5S. Using the standard yahoo setting on my phone.
You will have to access  "managing your app passwords" on your account profile for yahoo. Generate password for your app. For example: "My iPhone 5S'
Go to your Iphone and set up your yahoo mail account on your phone the normal way and you have to use the generated password.  instead of the yahoo account password.

  • TS3276 Inadvertently deleted Outgoing SMTP Mail Server.  Entered correct Yahoo email SMTP info and now SMTP is "Offline".  Can't SEND emails.  Help!

Inadvertently deleted SMTP Outgoing Mail Server address.  Re-entered correct mail service provider's address and now have '(Offline)' tagged on server name.  Can't SEND any emails.  When I try, message will not send but goes into Outbox and sits.  How can I get this SMTP address 'Online'?  Help!

For whatever reason Yahoo blocked access to their mail servers from Apple Mail in the past couple of days. I deleted my Yahoo account in Apple Mail and tried to add it back. NO JOY.
Today, Yahoo has reopened their servers so that I could add my Yahoo account to Apple Mail again successfully. Even w the second app password.
The problem was at Yahoo. Apple Mail people were either blocked or knocked off from their Yahoo servers for a time. This may happen again as it has in the past. I hope it doesn't become a frequent happening.

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 - Unable to recieve emails from outside

I'm having problems setting up brand new installation of EXCH 2013 on the VM server.
Infrastructure - main server Windows Server 2012 Standard, a VM server. Domain vwc.local, VM server introduced to domain. EXCH 2013 installed on VM server.
I'm able to send emails outside, but unable to receive ones from outside. Server provider A, MX records point to mail server. The local router redirect SMTP traffic to VM server - all ports.
According to Wireshark the SMTP traffic hits the VM server, but no connection with EXCHG receivers can be established. The external domain name - valleywomenscarepllc.com. Firewall is turned off. The receive connectors are setup to accept anonymous connection,
use all ip addresses associated with the VM server network adapter. Netstat shows that 25 port is available. Connectors are in an valid state by running ECHG commandlets.
I'm running out of ideas. Please suggest an area for research or request additional info to narrow down possible causes.
    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks to everyone!!!
Turned out that MX record was pointing to mail.valleywomenscarepllc.com. I changed to point to valleywomenscarepllc.com and all immediatelly - external OWA, ECP started working as well outside emailed delivering.
I've been fighting with EXCHG for over month, encountered multiple issues, and finally got it working. Thanks to everyone for suggestions!
Can anyone suggest on mobile dvice access. I setup my iPhone mail to to work with valleywomenscarepllc.com, however I get error that the server cannot be verified. ECP\Mobile access is on, no mobile device policies are in the effect, the autosync is
allowed on the user mailbox level though I get this error. Has anyone ever encountered similar issue?

  • Exchange server 2010 forwarding to multiple email address

Is it possible to forward email from one address to multiple email address?

    Hi,
On Exchange side, we can create a transport rule to copy the message to multiple addresses. The original recipients can see these addresses in Cc address. Or we can blind these addresses in Cc addresses. Here are detail steps:
Open EMC, navigate to Microsoft Exchange On-premises > Organization Configuration > Hub Transport
In middle panel, click on Transport Rules tab
In actions panel, click on New Transport Rule to create a transport rule.
Enter the name and comment of transport rule, then click
    Next.
Select sent to people condition and click on people to add the email address you want to apply this rule to, then click
    Next.
Select copy the message to addresses action (multiple addresses will show up in Cc address) or
Blind carbon copy(Bcc) the message to addresses action ( multiple addresses will show up in Bcc address and original recipient can’t see the Bcc address)
Click on addresses to add multiple addresses.
Then click on Next > Next > New to create and apply this transport rule.
    Transport Rule Actions
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998315(v=exchg.141).aspx
On Outlook client side, we can create email rule to achieve this goal. Here are steps:
Click File > Info > Manage Rules & Alerts
Click on New Rule, then select Apply rule on the messages I receive.
Click Next, select where my name is in the To or Cc box condition.
Click Next, select forward it to people or public group.
Click on people or public group to add multiple addresses.
Click Next > Next > Finish to create and apply this rule.
    Best Regards.

My iPhone5 only pushes/downloads most emails when I  have Outlook 2007 open at the same time. Otherwise I can't get my emails pushed to the iPhone. Is there a setting in Outlook or the iphone i should check or change?

No. There is no setting in outlook that would affect this.
What did your IT department say about it when you reported the problem?
