HELP! i turned my phone on and it will only let me make emergency calls!!!!
I had been having trouble syncing my iPhone to my Mac computer.
One day, after i installed Leopard, i plugged my phone into my computer.
Normally what happens is iTunes and iPhoto pop up and my phones little logo comes up in each application. But, what actually happened was only iPhoto came up, so i was confused.
I opened up iTunes, but the phone still wasn't showing up. It also wasn't syncing with iCal either. So i had been reading articles on problems with the iphone and i hadn't found anything, so i went to my schools tech guy and he as a iphone and a mac too, so we plugged my phone into his computer, and what do you know, it showed up in HIS itunes. I unplugged my phone from his computer and noticed i had no service. So i waited like 15 minutes and nothing changed, so i shut my phone off and turned it back on, and this weird screen came up. Its like a picture of the plug and a arrow pointing to the itunes logo, still saying i have no service, and only letting me make emergency calls. i plugged it into my computer and nothing happened. what do i do!?
I have the same problem. iTunes says There was a problem downloading the iPhone software for the iPone "XXXXXX". The requested resource was not found.
I cannot fix the problem.

I backedup my iphone 4 to the cloud before upgrading to an iphone 5. I also backedup my iphone 5 to icloud. I can see both phone's backups side by side on the my screen on icloud. But it will not allow me to restore the iphone 4 backup to my iphone 5. I need contacts from the iphone 4 backup but I do not have that phone anymore and icloud will only let me restore the iphone 5's backups to my iphone 5. Is there anyway to get the contacts from my previous iphone 4 backup?
You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

I attempted to update to iOS 8 and now my phone is stuck in recovery mode, and iTunes will only let me restore to factory settings. My question: Can I restore from iTunes backup after restoring to factory settings?

I would say yes. I once had the same problem (iPhone 5, IOS 7) and first restored to factory settings and after that from iCloud backup.
It worked very well. -
My Iphone was not unlocked and i accidentally upgarded my phone. Now it asks me to get insert a SIM without a PIN lock and would only let me make emergncey calls. How do i get phone working ?
You will need to establish an account with whoever the phone is locked with and restore it. Or you will not to unofficially unlock it again.

Yes, but if you delete the iCloud account and start again, don't you have to wait 90 days for everything to start syncing?? I've been having this problem for months and no one seems to be able to figure it out. I used to have one Apple ID (which was not an email address) and then when iOS came along....and iCloud, they force you to use your email address as ID ....which actually sets up a SECOND Apple ID. I have a Mac, iPad, iPod touch and iPhone. the Apple techs tried to delete the iCloud accounts so that they all said the same thing (email address ID) but then I had to wait 90 days. the 90 days just passed and nothing is automatically syncing yet. I still think there are 2 accounts but if I delete all again.....it's going to be another 90 days (for security reasons, I was told). This is a real pain in the butt.

I have been able to suspend my phones for up to 90 days at a time. Now when I suspend the phones it will only suspend the phones for 1 day. Why????
You can suspend for up to 180 days in a rolling one year period. It would appear that you have suspended the line for 180 days since April 2014, so you can no longer suspend it for another 90 days at a time. but only what's left of the 180 days since one year ago today.

All my bookmarks suddenly disapered, tried recovering them as per the instructions on the help page, but no matter what date i try it fails saying no backup! Now firefox says bookmark added when i try to add them but nothing appears in the bookmarks drop down mene, so i cant even add my old bookmarks manually, driving me mad please help.
A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Help! My Apple ID password and username will not let me change.
My Apple ID has changed since my email account was hacked. I am unable to change my Apple ID on the iphone. I have requested an email be sent to the old email address and it does not send. I have tried to change my information by using my birthday, but it does not recognize my birthday using the old email account. My iPad has the new and correct Apple Id, but I am unable to change my iphone's Apple ID. Please HELP.....this is frustrating.

My hard drive crashed and I had to wipe my computer. When I plug my iPod into my computer, it asks if I want to sync my (empty) iTunes account to my (full) iPod, but doesn't give me the option to put my iPod music onto my empty iTunes account. All I want to do is put my iPod's music back into my iTunes account, but can't figure out how to do it. I had some music backed up, but when I put it into iTunes, it won't play the songs (has an ! next to it) even though I purchased the songs from iTunes. I've tried authorizing my account, but nothing brings my old account back. Any help would be appreciated.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just this reason.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -

No idea what you mean by that. You can not "download iCloud". It's a cloud service. You can sync with iCloud. You can back up to iCloud, you can restore from iCloud. You can store documents on iCloud. You can not "download" iCloud.

I can not buy apps on my iPad. Says my security answers are wrong. When clicked on I forgot it sent email to my reserve email account. Which went in and changed my questions. When back to make purchase on iPad still can not buy songs or apps!
