Help! I've "permanently" deleted a bunch of important e-mails!

I deleted a "Blank" folder from my archived e-mails, and went to clear the deleted items from the archive. A separate folder full of important e-mails was also deleted. It there a way to recover "permanently" deleted e-mails or
am I out of luck?

Yes, you can easily recover your permanently deleted emails from Outlook at FREE of cost by following just simple steps:
• Make a duplicate copy of Outlook PST file
• Open Hex Editor
• Open PST file with Hex Editor from which you want to recover
emails
• Delete the position 7 through 13 with the space bar. In
the Hexadecimal system, this process actually deletes 13 characters at the following positions:
00007, 00008, 00009, 0000a, 0000b, 0000c, 0000d, 0000e, 0000f, 00010, 00011, 00012, 00013
(When you clear a position using spacebar, the editor displays the value "20" each time.)
or
• Select the value start from 07 to next 13 values. Go to
» Edit » File
Selection » Ok
• This action will replace all values to 00
• After clearing these positions, save PST file. Now, you
have corrupted PST file.
• Run scanpst.exe tool
• Browse corrupt PST file and scan
• Repair PST
• Now open PST file and check deleted items.

Had you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

Just accidentally deleted a bunch of important stuff. What now?!

Help! my itunes Deleted a bunch of my songs and all my playlists!

I logged onto to itunes this morning and found probably 1200 of my 1400 songs gone. My playlists were also gone. The only songs there were the ones I bought from itunes (not fron Amazon or CDs or something) All of the songs that were there said that they had zero plays (which is false) and when I clicked on each song it had to download to play (like it was playing from the cloud). The music that is missing is still on my ipod and is also saved to my computer but I don't want to have to drag and drop 1000+ songs. Is there any way to get my songs back without having to drag and drop each of them? Is there a way I can get my playlists back? Finally, does anyone have any idea how this happened or how I can prevent it from happening again? Thanks.

Server Data Deleted. Need to Import Apple Mail archive in Outlook 2011

I have accidently deleted all the emails on my Imap account while logging in through Outlook 2011 for mac. Luckily I have an email acrhive file of all the emails which I accessed earlier in Apple Mail. But these files cannot be imported in Outlook for mac for reasons I am not aware of.
Please suggest some alternative mehtods except importing the archive files via ImportExportTools in outlook for mac (as I have tried almost a million times).

It is possible to do this without external tools, but it is a tremendous faff. See

The easiest way, however, is to use Mail Exporter Pro https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mail-exporter-pro/id675131616?mt=12 which will convert the email for you from one format to the other, and comes with an excellent manual.
A third possibility is to connect Apple Mail to an email account via IMAP (this doesn’t have to be your usual account, you can just create a Gmail account for the purpose) . Copy all the messages into it and they will be uploaded. Then connect Outlook 2011 to the same account, via IMAP again, and let the messages download, then copy them to wherever you want to keep them and disconnect from that account. This is slow but preserves the attributes of your email (e.g. read/unead) better than any other method.

Permanently deleting emails from Gmail, while saving them in AppleMail

I'm trying to figure out how to permanently delete emails from my Gmail All Mail folder without deleting them from the folders I moved them to in the On My Computer area of my AppleMail on my MacBook Pro. I like the IMAP syncing function in Gmail that keeps my iphone, ipad and MacBook all synced from an email perspective. However, I don't like my emails living on Gmail's servers any longer than they have to. I don't want them living on Apple's servers either, so I'm not using iCloud.
I only want emails to remain on the Gmail servers for as long as I keep them in either my inbox or sent items. I use those two folders as my holding zones for items that still require action. Once I have done what needs to be done in regard to an email, I either delete it or I move it to a folder under On My Computer on my MacBook Pro for possible later reference. If I move an email to a folder, I never want it to be deleted. I use a Time Capsule to back up my Macbook through Time Machine, so I'm not worried about losing my historical email files from a hard drive problem. I also back up the MacBook quarterly to a separate hard drive which I store offsite in case a catastrophe at my home destroys both my MacBook and the Time Capsule.
I have about 8 years of email history that I imported from my old PC into the MacBook in AppleMail and I now want to clean out the All Mail account in my Gmail to delete all those emails, but I need them to remain in my folder system on the MacBook.
Can anyone tell me how to delete all mail from the Gmail account without having the IMAP function delete them from my MacBook Pro?
Here's an added complication. When I move an email from my inbox to a folder on my MacBook, I do want that email to disappear from my ipad and my iphone. In essence, I like to manage all my emails from my MacBook Pro if they need to be saved into folders, but I also like to be able to delete emails that don't need to be saved from any of my devices and have that deletion sync to all my devices.
I haven't been able to figure this one out. Any help is appreciated.

Make local folders (On My Mac) and move the mails there, they will delete from the GMail servers but remain accessible in Mail, only in Mail.
All Mail (in Gmail) is not a folder, it is a label for all your mail, anything in there is also in one of GMails folders, when you delete from All Mail you are deleting the original mail.

There's also a "quit" in the menubar. Once it's not active you can delete it.

I had installed a new driver and then, downloaded Firefox 7. It has over 100 cookies in the download. Deleting them from cookies in the browser does not help since is within the download. How can I permanently delet these cookies? Thank you.

Since it is in the download, I am unable to permanently delete these (over 100) cookies and they continue to reoccur each time I open the browser. Sometimes the cookies will not delete when I try to remove only "one" cookie and I must remove "all". I have used Firefox as my browser for years but this has never happened.

You can't remove opt-out cookies that are added by an extension as long as that extension is enabled or installed. If you choose to install such an extension then you have to accept the presence of 100 or more cookies added by the extension.

If you deleted an email (old or new) and want it back, contact Yahoo for support on how to recover accidentally deleted emails.
If you mean that emails you didn't delete aren't showing up, then delete the Yahoo account form your iPhone then re-add it again.

Most items purchsed with your Apple ID can't be permantently deleted from the purchase history. However you can hide them.

Tab Control Lock ? File Permanent Delete ?

I have couple of questions.
I have a tab control that I use for displaying test metrics during run-time. The first tab has a bunch of graphs. Whenever I browse to other pages in the tab during run time, the graphs do not autoscale. So I want to lock the tab for a particular amount of time when the test is in progress. Is there a way to do it ? I am not able to find a property node that would do it.
Also, I am deleting some temp files generated by my code after test completion. Is there a way to permanently delete it ? [I do not want these files in the recycle bin]

(1) Create a property node for the tab control, select property: disabled, and wire a "1" to it to disable, then change to 0 to enable it again later.
(2) How are you deleting the files? If you use the delete function from the file I/O palette, they will not end up in the recycle bin. Your program should do the cleanup as part of the exit code automatically.

How to permanently delete voice memos from iPhone 4s?

As you can see, I have over 387 voice memos somewhere on my phone, and I want them permanently deleted. I've deleted the voice memos through the voice memos app, and these appear to be all of the deleted voice memos. I tried deleted the voice memos playlist, and that didn't do anything either. This list is shown on the new iTunes.... where you click "On This Phone" when looking at my connected iphone. It's taking up a ton of space on my phone and I don't need them. A majority of them appear to be the exact same voice memo just in there a bunch of times. I can't find a solution anywhere for this.
Also, how can I make sure that any future voice memos don't sync to my iTunes? I can't find an option to uncheck the syncing of voice memos. All of these changes are confusing me.

UPDATE: I just checked, and I do not have voice memos checked in itunes as syncing to my computer from my phone. So why was it syncing anyway? I don't understand.

I was having a similar issue and I if I understand correctly, I think this is a solution for others..
in itunes with iphone plugged in, go to summary tab. click "manually manage music.." and apply. Then go to "on this phone tab" and you can actually physically delete the voice memo playlist or individual voice memos. This appears to have finally worked for me..or at least the voice memos playlist doesn't persist under the "on this phone tab" anymore....not sure it made a huge difference in my iphone available space.

When I was trying to delete the emails in my inbox for the Mail app - I followed THESE directions. It did in fact clear my inbox for the Mail app. But then I went to log on to my Outlook account and EVERY SINGLE EMAIL was gone. And not in the Deleted box. Just gone. Here are the directions I followed that screwed everything up. Please help.
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors.
Uncheck "Store deleted messages on the server".
At the drop list for "Permanently erase deleted messages when", choose "Quitting Mail".
Next...
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > General.
At "When searching all mailboxes, include results from", uncheck "Trash".
Select All = command A

i found out my prob!
here is what you do.
go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
click "software updates".
click "installed software"
if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
go to mail.
click "mail" at the top.
click "preferences...".
find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!

This is by design the Recycle Bin only stores files deleted from local drives, not from a shared folder. The workaround is to move a folder in C:\users\<user name> to the shared folder.
