Help, i've upgraded my 4S to iO 7, but iTunes no longer sees the phone
I have just upgraded to iOS 7, and now when i plug my phone into my Windows 7 laptop, iTunes (up to date) does not see the phone at all. I can plug my iPod in and it is recognized just fine.
I have told my phone several times i trust the laptop. I cannot find a settings option to enable iTunes. in General, Sync is greyed out and i can't launch a sync, it says it will happen when connected.
Update: I did not have the latest version of iTunes (even though a check from iTunes said I did have). I downloaded and installed V 11.1.0.126 and it recognized my iOS 7 4S iPhone.

I want to upgrade my iOS 4 to 5 on my Ipod Touch but I no longer have the original computer I used to sync with so it keeps saying I will loose all of my apps and stuff on my new computer..... SO how do I tell it that my new computer is now my regular computer so that I can upgrade my iOS on it without it wiping all of my music, films and apps on it??? Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
New cable and different USB port?
Runs this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement. -

Can I retrieve my photos, notes, reminders and all other data in my iPhone, I mean, if I bought another one, and connect it to my computer and go to iTunes then restore backup, cause I backup my iPhone last Oct 10, 2013, will I recover all the details in my iPhone that was stolen? Whenever I update from Windows 7 get error 1602, iPod shows USB connection to iTunes, but iTunes will not recognize the device. None of the Apple documentation helps. The Apple Mobile Device driver is loaded and operating. The anti-virus software and firewall are not at fault (were uninstalled, and made no difference). The iTunes on my older machine running Vista does recognize the inoperative iPod (iTunes has detetced an iPod in recovery mode) and allows me to restore the device. Can anyone help to resolve this problem on the Windows 7 PC?
So yu tried all of this:
Error 1600, 1601, 1602: Try the following steps to resolve this error:
Ensure proper USB isolation troubleshooting has been performed, and test with a known-good cable.
Follow the steps listed for Error 1604.
This error may be resolved by disabling, deactivating, or uninstalling third-party security, antivirus, and firewall software. See steps in this article for details on troubleshooting security software.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

If a second-hand iOS device has been 'Activation locked' then only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you are unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all. Apple cannot unlock it for you.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless. -

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo. -
Hello, my name is brad and I recently had a voicemail app that I was using and now i got rid of it. But now my voicemail for the phone will not work. I tried to reset the network settings and nothing happened. I was wondering if you could help me out?
When you set up a voicemail redirection, usually you have to remove that redirection from the account that redirected it. Like Google Voice, if you activate Google Voice to receive your voicemail, you will have to log into voice.google.com to turn it off. If you contact your carrier, they can tell you exactly what program has taken over your voicemail functionality just in case you are stuck, but if you know the name of that App, I'm sure you will be able to figure it out. Hope this helps you out.
