HELP! I've upgraded to Firefox 12 (Mac OSX 10.7.3) and everything has gone wrong.
My Fast Dial add-on has disabled and won't reinstall or function as it used to.
When I quit Firefox my tabs won't restore when I reopen Firefox.
The bookmarks toolbar has disappeared and wont' reappear however much I click View>Toolbars>Bookmarks Toolbar.
There's other issues as well. It's too depressing.

For the Camera app, try closing it via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar at the bottom of the iPad's screen, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
In terms of syncing, you will need iTunes on your computer - if you haven't already downloaded it then you can do so from here : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
You can conncet the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (you can enable the sidebar on iTunes 11 on a PC via control-S), and use the tabs on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to sycn your content to the iPad.

For the excel file, what app are you viewing/editing it in ? If the values are different then it may be that the app that you are using doesn't support all the formulas that are being used in the spreadsheet. Apps that 'support' excel documents include Apple's Numbers app, and from third-parties apps such as Documents To Go ('premium' version) and QuickOffice Pro HD. -
Ever since I upgraded to the newest version, I've had nothing but trouble with my internet. Very frequent crashes. All of a sudden the whole screen will start flashing like the computer is going to explode. Freezes. The video plug in (QuickTime?) crashes, there is a visual warp halfway down my screen that makes the type look funny when I scroll a page. I'm thinking of de-installing Firefox. Can you help?

Not really a voltage concern.But I guess it could if both drives are running at the same time.With IDE, one is limited to two drives in a chain, and these drives cannot work at the same time. In essence, they must "take turns".So by putting 1 HDD as primary master and cd as slave,you will get the full performance of your drive.Most peeps only run CD roms for program installs and or CD burning or copying anways.
As far as the cable,yes there are 80 wire flat cables that work just fine.The only reason to go to the round cables is to improve air-flow and or the length of the cable itself.
I am sure many people use it the old fashion way with no problems.I just experienced a performance issue when I had HDD's on the same chain.It was mainly because I load all my games on my D drive.It also kept defaulting it to PIO mode which is the slowest mode.Since swaping the drives around on the chain(IDE1=HDD-Operating system-primary master and CD burner as Primary slave)(IDE2=HDD-Storage/gaming-secondary master and my DVD rom as secondary slave)Both drives run in UMDA-MODE-5 set up that way with no more problems -
i have typed many documents on pages and saved to a new folder i created i have just opened it half hour ago and saved some more and all ok i just reopened to save another and all the documents have gone help how do i get them back and where they go ??????
On Lion 10.7.x you need to hold the CMD+r Keys insyead of notting from an Instsall Disc, but try that & step 3 onward...

Very weird day in Firefoxland
First on a Powerbook G4 running 10.4.11 I respond to an invitation to upgrade to Firefox 4 (like a lot of others). Long story short, I wind up losing the browser altogether -- including all bookmarks. Why? Because neither the Firefox homepage (or CNET downloads) makes it clear that 4.0 is for OS 10.5 only! Amazing!
Then I try to register to post a reply in a thread that crits Firefox for not making this System Requirements info upfront clear. But the Register page I’m taken to (https://support.mozilla.com/bs/users/register) is in SERBO-CROATIAN!!
Then I try to log into Chat a couple of times and when it’s not CLOSED its a long line waiting and THEN it closes.
WOW!! Are the wheels off the wagon here or what!?! -

If you have an Intel Mac, purchase Mac OS X 10.6 from the online Apple Store. If you have a G4 or G5 Mac, purchase Mac OS X 10.5 from a site such as Amazon. If you have a G3 Mac, you don't.
Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 need to be purchased on a retail DVD. No downloads are available to the general public.

To elaborate a bit, you may come across offers of a new/unopened/unregistered version, which is the simplest case (you would need a guarantee). Other cases require much detailed information (and a guarantee).
If upgrading to 10.6.8 or higher is an option, you could use CS6. -

Books are no longer supported with iPhoto '08 (a roughly six yeal old product) - you can purchase an iLife '09 DVD from someplace like Amazon or eBay and install it - iPhoto '09 is still supported this year

I have a desktop mac operating on Mac OSx 10.4.11 and the system does not recognize my iphone and I am unable to upgrade to the newest itunes version. What do I need to do?
Backup first
It is always best to have a full bootable backup before you upgrade. If you fail to do this you will be unable to return to this OS if you decide you don't like the new OS. Also there is a slight chance that an install could lose everything on the Mac. The backup must be to an external hard disk. Preferably use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a bootable backup of the whole disk.
Erase before the install
Once you have a bootable backup on an external disk it is best to erase the internal disk with the new installer DVD before you install.
During the install
Preferably do not import any data or preferences from earlier OSs during the install process as this can reintroduce bugs.

Those wishing to upgrade to Leopard should be aware that install disks can be expensive unless you contact Apple. OSs beyond OS X 10.5.8 require an Intel processor. If in doubt check this: Click the apple at the top left of your screen and select 'About this Mac'. This will give you your OS number. Then click 'More Info' to see which processor you have. If it says PowerPC you cannot upgrade to Snow Leopard and above. I just installed the new firefox for Mac OSX 10.6.8 and when I select an image on a site (right click and copy) and paste in Photoshop 5.5, the image lightens. It does not do this in Safari.Firefox, Safari, and PhotoShop each handle embedded color profiles differently. I am using Elements 12 trial on an old windows 7 PC and wish to purchase the license. If I upgrade to a Mac OSX in the near future, will I have to repurchase the license?
If you think you want to use PSE on both platforms buy the boxed version, which comes with a serial number that works in both. Downloads have single-platform serial numbers. But at this time of year I don't think I'd buy PSE till the trial runs out.

I am using MAC OSX 10.9.4 and LR5 Ver 5.6. I can't drag LR to my second screen. It's always worked before. All of my other apps drag to the second screen with no issues. I've re-booted my computer and it did't help. Any ideas???
Make sure you are not in one of the full screen modes.
