Help! I want my iCal back

I have started a thread before on this subject, but no one could help me (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=466740&tstart=0). Still, I urgently need help - so I am giving it another try, with new information.
Problem is: my calendars are no longer displayed when I start iCal.
This is what I see when I start up the program:

Right: an empty calendar with no events or tasks at all.
Still, they seem to be there. When I start a search in iCal and I click on a found event, all of a sudden they are visible again. This is what I see then:

But, you see: still no calendars in the left column.
When I turn off the computer, or restart iCal, I am confronted with the same empty calendar.
Backing up and restoring database: no avail.
I even totally removed iCal from the computer and re-installed the program. Nothing.
I have run out of ideas. I am disppointed; I use(d) iCal a lot.
Just for the record: I am talking about the program on my Mac mini, where Tiger is active. It was/is synced daily with iCal on my iMac (Panther) (where there are no problems at all.)
Perhaps you, or the Apple folks, can help... This is very annoying, to say the least!

I can confirm that the same thing happened to me 4 days ago!
I have been using iCal since the beginning and I have most of my life on there except I can't see it anymore.
It is not a synch problem as I have never sync'ed ical ever!
When I open iCal all my calendars appear after a few seconds but the colours are different to what has been set. within 3 seconds they all disappear and I end up with a blank sheet.
I know the details are all there as YouControl shows them but I cannot see them in ical.
Apple please help or anyone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Downgrading the iOS is not supported, and will void your warranty and forfeit any further support on your phone.
Next time don't rush in to upgrade to an iOS that's been completely redesigned without checking it out first.

I don't see it mentioned above, but when you remove the apps from your devices, have you been to system preferences > iCloud and checked that all your pages and numbers documents have been deleted from your storage, deleting them if necessary.
Also when you add things back, avoid adding documents with the same names as those you have been having problems with.

I just got my new iMac with the Intel Core Duo. I foolishly started the Windows XP before I found out how to change the startup disk in Windows. Help, I want my Tiger back!

Hold down the Option key on your keyboard while booting up your machine.
You will be prompted to select which OS you want to boot into.
I believe there is also an option in Windows Control Panel to select the Startup Disk.

The games might be free but I think you've clicked In-App purchase which cost money. You are warned before you accept the In-App purchase. You not that young and you can read so take action if you must. It's your own fault and all purchases are final. Good luck.

My Ical is all screwed up now that I've upgraded my Mac Desktop. There are no borders with the days of the week and it's all running into each other. Help Pleeease!! I have a busy schedule and this is so confusing. How do I get my old Ical back?

I'm trying to figure out how to change my ICal back to the way it was before I upgrated my Desktop Mac computer. I used to have a perfect calendar and since I upgraded, there are no side borders to the days when I'm on the "month" view. It all looks like it is one big day running into eachother. I hope it's an easy fix. If anyone knows what I'm trying to explain, please help me!!

Configure the Extreme connected to the Hughes Net modem as your router. In other words in AirPort Utility, Network tab > Router Mode should be set to "DHCP and NAT". It will provide IP addresses to all the devices on your network.
All other AirPort devices on your network should be configured as bridges: Router Mode "Off".
You may want to configure static IP addresses for any equipment that is likely to be permanently installed. For them, there is no reason to have the Extreme issue an IP address, and they can keep the same one forever.
The Microcell may be able to connect to the Express's LAN port such devices that have to handle voice or other real time audio or video streaming are generally best installed using a strictly wired connection. The same applies to the Sony TV and AppleTV. Keep them on a wired LAN served by the Extreme, avoiding any reliance on a wireless link if at all possible.
The way to implement a complex network like yours is to add one device at a time. Ensure it connects reliably, then add another. You have a lot of work to do.
WDS can be implemented even with new Extremes but its performance is likely to be so unacceptable that it would be nothing more than an exercise in frustration for you.

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

If i selected to "Create a new backup" and then cancelled that option but want to go back and select "Inherit backup history"; how do i go back and do that since now when i plug in my HD, that option doesn't appear anymore?? Any Help?

I didn't understand the option to Inherit or start a new back up, and therefore selected the option to create a new backup. I believe I should have selected to Inherit backup history so that when i back it up on the new MackBook Air, it appears the same as the one I'm returning.... Is there anyway that i can re-select the option to Inherit backup history for time machine?

Sorry, downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple, thus there is no official way to do so. Your phone was re-locked to the carrier it was originally locked to because you hacked it to unlock it. Apple's servers detected such & re-locked your phone. You need to contact the carrier your phone is locked to if you want to get it officially unlocked.

You might just have to contact Apple and ask them to remove it (losing it). Usually people clear a balance by buying one song and having the exact remainder charged to their credit card, but if you don't have a US credit card you cannot do that.

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
