Help.. I want to have multiple slideshows in idvd that transition together

I am trying to make an idvd with multiple slideshows that transition togther without having to go back to the menu and be clicked. Can I do this? HELP!!!!

I assume you mean you want to have one slideshow 'transition' into a second slideshow. etc, without returning to a menu.
iDVD does not let you go from one video or slideshow to another without returning to a menu. (You could probably do this with Apple's DVD Studio Pro.)
iDVD 6 lets you create slides shows of more than 99 slides. HOWEVER, many set-top DVD players will not play more than the first 99 slides. The best way to make a slideshow with more than 99 images is to create a movie in iPhoto or iMovie.

iPhoto does not support the removal of duplicates later - it checks for duplicates, when you import. Once imported, you only can sort the photos by date, so that duplicates will be shown side-by-side.

Sharing iphoto slideshows to idvd

recently reinstalled ilife (iphoto suddenly disappeared!)
when sharing a slideshow created on iphoto to idvd, it transfers as a quicktime movie (do not want it to be a quicktime movie) is there a setting i can change?

If you want to have a slideshow in iDVD with only the still photos from iPhoto then select just the album of photos and use the Share->Send to iDVD menu. This will open iDVD, create a slideshow in it and import the album of photos from iPhoto. j
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Can we have multiple policies for the same gateway?

Is there a way in which we can have multiple policies for the default gateway?
When I try adding a new gateway (which is not mentioned in the installer.properties file) and have policies, there is a 404 error.
When I add another service to the same gateway, I get an error - that the service could not be added to default policy.
Help me please...

Want to have multiple policies, so that each of the web-service can be attached to same. The relation needs to be one-to-many. One policy can have multiple web-services.

Its not possible for the same development object. Only 1 person can access an object at a time and if mutiple users modify an object new TASKs are created under the same TRANSPORT.
Only after releasing the tr you can create a new tr on the same object.

Can you have multiple accounts in one library?

I've had two iTunes accounts for several years now, and it was never a problem on my old laptop--I needed the second account because I wanted to use a giftcard from outside the US, and the credit refused to apply to the US iTunes store. However, I replaced my computer about a month ago, and the new version of iTunes won't download my iTunes purchases automatically. When I try, it says it's already associated with another account, and it will add restrictions if I set it to automatically download purchases. I don't know what this means, but I'd like a way around it. I don't want to have multiple libraries (which seems to be the only way I've seen other people on the forum use multiple accounts); there's music on both accounts that I listen to all the time. I've been stuck working off of two computers for a month now, and it's getting frustrating. Help?

To elaborate a bit more. The public class must match the filename, however you can declare "inner" classes.
An inner class can be declared inside another class, or even inside another method. Where you declare that class dictates the scope it will have. However, the lack of an ability to declare these classes public (a public class must be declared inside a java file with the same name), means that they are not visible anywhere else. However, they do still have plenty of uses.
Declaring a class inside a method is used rarely, but would look something like

Have multiple iTunes libraries on one machine?

I want to have multiple iTunes libraries on one machine (with two different hard drives, internal fore mp3s and external for AAC files). One library is composed of mp3s for an iPod, I want the other library to have AAC audio files for burning CDs. I would rather the libraries not be mixed.
I have read the article (#301748) for migrating an iTunes library and am preparing to migrate one of the libraries on to a external hard drive.
I have read about using Libra to maintain two different libraries on one machine. I was wondering if anyone does this and if they have encountered any problems? Is there a better solution?

It's one thing to want two music libraries on one machine and another to want two music libraries on one user account. For the latter, here's what I've done.
I created folders in my iTunes folder called, say, Main Library Folder and Second Library Folder. (These could be anywhere you find convenient.) I dragged my regular iTunes Library file into the Main Library Folder. Then I opened iTunes and created my second music library. When I finished that, I closed iTunes and dragged the just-created iTunes Library file into the Second Library Folder.
If I want to use my main iTunes library, before opening iTunes I drag an alias (Cmmd-Option-drag) of the iTunes Library file from the Main Library Folder into the iTunes folder. Then, when I open iTunes, iTunes reads my main library file. And of course, it works the same way for the second library.
Of course, you could just shuffle the actual library files into position in the iTunes folder from their holding areas, but I strongly preferred to get myself into the habit of relying on aliases, so I could leave the actual library file alone in their respective folders. You most definitely would not want to accidentally overwrite one of your iTunes Library files.
I'm sure one of the shareware products would do a more elegant job, but this just shows you that it's not a difficult process.
The alternative is to set up separate user accounts to access different libraries on the same machine. This has real benefits and, to me, should be the first option one considers. It's easier on the brain, as it sticks to iTunes' one-user-one-library model, and there's absolutely no risk of getting libraries confused. Fast User Switching on the Mac makes going back and forth between accounts easy. But if you really want to avoid using different accounts, and it's only you that has to keep things straight, the approach of jumping back and forth between different libraries in the same user account should be OK.

How can I have multiple rows of bookmarks in the bookmark toolbar? I can't find any way to do this in 4.0. If I had know this wasn't possible in the new version, I would not have downloaded it.

I have many bookmarks that I like to have readily available on the toolbar. With the older versions of Firefox, I was able to have multiple rows of icons that I grouped by topic. I have now wasted a lot of time trying to find a way to have multiple rows in version 4.0. I do not want to use the down arrow on the right.

This can be done by adding a userstyle with the Stylish add-on.

You might be able to get close to what you want by using a slideshow in iDVD. (It's not widely known, but you can put videos in a slideshow.) If you set the slide duration to manual, playback will pause after each movie/slide, and you can continue with the 'next' button.

How to get Multiple Movies on iDVD

I have a standard 4.7gb blank dvd and a lot of full-length movies in .avi, all around 750mb. I want to make a menu in idvd that has all the movies and you click which one you want, but just one movie takes up the enture space, even though it is 750mb, So I want to put about 4 on there. How do I do this? Thanks a lot.

In order for a DVD to be playable in a commercial DVD player, the video files on that DVD have to be converted to a file format that can be recognized by any commercial DVD player.
The standard video format for commercial DVD playback is mpeg-2... mpeg-2 has a very high bitrate. In other words, a 1-minute sample of mpeg-2 video will be MUCH BIGGER than a 1-minute sample of divx, avi, or h.264 video.
I believe iDVD only allows for a maximum of 2-hours of video on one DVD disc. So if you have 4 videos and each video is longer than 1 hour, than the maximum number of videos that you can place on 1 DVD, will be 1.
In your case you will have to look at another program other than iDVD to achieve what you want to do. You need a program that allows you more control over the bitrate of each video file. That way, you can control the size of each video file.
