Help! i was downloading the new v 4.3.4, when it was almost over it sorta crashed, and now i can't open my itouch! when i try to turn it on, the screen says to connect it to itunes(i have the latest version), but it just won't! this is crazy T_T

idk what to do!! i've tried temporarily turning off my security software, but my itouch still wouldn't come up in m itunes!

I upgraded all of my iWork apps and now I can't open some of my old files. I get a message that says I need a newer version. Same for all three iWork apps.

I've checked all of the version numbers, and the latest versions are installed but most of my old files can't be read. Tried restarting, etc, but nothing works.

Thanks. After posting that problem, I discovered that my upgrade of iWork did not replace my old versions, and some of my links started up the old versions. When I looked at version numbers, I saw the new ones. My links now go to the new versions and all seems to be OK.

Lightroom crashed and now I can't open the catalog - even after deleting the lock file.

Lightrooms crashed, which is a common occurrance. But, this last time was different. After I restarted it my catalog was not linked and all my settings were gone. I tried opening the catalog through the file menu, but absolutely nothing happens. I tried going to the folder and clicking on it but this only opens lightroom with no catalog. After having scanned this forum I found that I need to delete the .lock file, but after doing that the same things happen. Any suggestions on how to open my catalog? Will reinstalling Lightroom help?

The problems mostly happen when I am using X-Y compare in Library mode. It shows black rectancles over the tops of the sections that contain the photos and these flash. They aren't always the same size, but are only on the top of the section - never big enough to completely cover the photos. Then I get anywhere from one to about four or five extra windows stacked on top of the Lightroom Icon at the bottom of my screen (I use Windows 8) opening and closing, though there isn't enough time for me to click on them and read them because my computer gets so slow that my mouse actin is delayed by a few seconds. And, to shut Lightroom down, I need to use Windows task manager because clicking on the little red box with the X in the upper right corner accomplishes nothing. There are 2 options: Don't Reopen or Reopen Either choice leads to a window that pops upend says please wait while we launch Acrobat and then window just closes quickly.

You may goto control panel and then go to program and features.
Select the Acrobat pro and chose the option change from the top. Fallow the onscreen instruction a windows will pop up where you need to choose repair.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand it can be very frustrating when you cannot sign in, or sign out in this case, to your Apple ID. In this situation you may need to temporarily edit your Apple ID back to the original email address so that you can sign out. Once signed out, edit the Apple ID back to the new email address and sign in. Please use the attached article for further information.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
If you're still asked for your previous Apple ID password, continue to the next step.

So how do I access the file?

Sounds like you opened and saved it in CC, so now you need to go back to CC and either complete the project there, or export to IDML to take it back into CS6.

I upgraded my original system from 10.4.11 to I believe 10.6. something about a year or so ago. I thought about re installing my safari app but when I go to open anything connected to safari my screen goes back to the desktop. I cant open any files that I have on my desktop that I set up through safari, like my banking program. Prior to changing system preference to safari default I was able to open those files and now I can't get into change it back. Can you guide me through this?

Try running the 10.6.8 combo update.

System Preferences or Safari Preferences?
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart the computer, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Mine does the same thing occasionally, is your phone jailbroken? Sometimes it will work if you delete the book and reinstall it or put your phone into airplane mode then turn it back off.

Remove all of these items in the following order:

Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)

Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Check the Application folder.
If it is not there, contact YNAB Finance for a OS X Yosemite compatible version of the application.

I have installed iLife a few times and because of photostream, the version on the disc must be updated. Software update usually takes care of it. It sounds like you installed an old version over a new version. I've not tried that.
You have a late 2012 machine, if you open the Mac app store from the dock, you should be able to go to the purchased tab and download/install the right version of iphoto. Honestly, you should not have used that disc on this new of mac or at least only installed iDVD & iWeb but not garageband, iphoto, and iMovie.
If the Mac App Store shows iphoto as installed already, drag the app from your applications folder to the trash and reinstall it again from the Mac App Store. That is the version you need. You may find garageband and imovie have similar problems.

PS. your photos are in your photo folder in your home folder. don't touch those, I'm talking about the app "iphoto" in the applications folder.

Hi,
USB recovery disk was used to recover your system when it encounter problem. You can try to use it to fix your problem instead reinstall system. However, there is no method to keep your program whenreinstall system.
