Help, I washed my Ipod.
I was doing my laundry, and afterward I learned that I had washed my Ipod. I put it in a windowstill to dry out, and left it there for a couple days to dry. When I tried to start it it wouldn't turn on, so I plugged it into my laptop to charge. While charging in my laptop it was flaky, charging for a bit then acting as if I had unplugged it then replugged it again. And every time I plugged it in it claimed that it couldn't be charged for some reason (I dont remember the error message). Thinking that it was safe i unplugged my Ipod and tried to turn it on, now it is giving me an iPod Diagnostics screen and the touchwheel isnt working. It is also now not doing anything on Itunes, not registering at all on my laptop except to give the same error message but not open Itunes. Please help.

Help!! I washed my IPod and I don't know what to do. It got thrown in the washing machine by accident and it was a very special gift from my boyfriend. I just feel terrible. I have let it dry completly and still nothing happens when I try to turn it on. Even if you could tell me where to call or to send it to get it repaired I would appreciate it SO MUCH. I don't know what I'll do if I can't get it repaired. Also it has been engraved so I don't know if that will have anything to do with repairing it, I'm not sure how they do things. ok i kno it was a bit stupid bit i washed my ipod shuffle the other day.
now when plug it in the computer raeds it like a normal flashdrive, is there somewhere i can download the driver software for the device or do i have to send it back to apple.

okay, so i washed my ipod touch in the washing machine and then it was in the dryer. i realised after i had emptied the dryer that it was in a pair of jeans. i didn't turn it on but i put it in a bag of rice and it has been that way for 24 hours. not quite sure what to do next, a bit scared just in case i have seriously stuffed up the ipod. please help if you can...
so it has been in the rice for 6 days now. i took it out and charged it for a while then turned it on and it works! Only when after you swipe to unlock it, the screen goes black. i can touch things and make noises but nothing comes up. What should i do cos there is no water in it or anything?

No app on the iOS device is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the erase (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 or later on the device. With iOS 7 or later, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I believe you're looking at the section which says when iTunes will check for the next update, not actually update your iPod. It does it in weekly intervals, which is why the next date is 7 days on.

Having trouble with enhanced podcasts, Can anyone help me adjust my iPod?
Whenever I listen to my enhanced podcasts through iTunes, I have no problems viewing the photos the podcaster included in the program. However, when I play the same podcast in my iPod, the photos will not show. I only see the timeline with the little segments that represent the chapters. I can hit the forward and back arrows and I am taken the to the next chapter marker. But, unfortunately, I do not see the photos, as I do see them in iTunes.
Can anyone help me adjust my iPod to enable it to play enhanced podcasts correctly?
According to the iPod manuals, I should be able to see enhanced podcasts with no trouble.

I have solved it myself. Here's how I did it:
In iTunes, go to Edit and click to Show Art Work and leave it as "Hide Art Work." (Now it will download the enhanced messages.)
Now go to the iPod: From the Main Menu, go to Settings. At the Settings, go to the other Main Menu. From this Main Menu, go to Music and make sure that the following are on:
Playlists, Photos, and Photo Import, Videos, and Extras.

Help! 2nd gen. ipod nano audio output not balanced
anyone knows what the problem of my ipod nano? while i was listening suddenly there was no audio output on the right earphone. i restarted it at least 5 times, even changed to another earphone. then after a few hours i tried to test it again and the right earphone works again but volume is much lower than the left earphone.
i dropped it at least about 2 months ago, could it be the cause?
will apple warranty work on my unit?First off, be sure that you've fulle connected the headphones/ear buds to the iPod correctly. I know it's a simple thing, but sometimes is accidentally looked over, and can be the cause of this type of issue.
Next, I wold suggest that you restore your iPod.
If a restore doesn't help, and you're iPod is still under the 1-year warranty, I would suggest that you send your iPod in to get it repaired/replaced. Apple could possibly cover for it witht he warranty (although I can't guarantee it).

Most likely, if a restore doesn't help your situation, then it's an internal sound problem with the iPod that will have to be replaced by Apple.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
