Help - I would like to know if there if anything like a dictionary for the iphone

I would like to know where I can find a user's guide for beginners, one that I can read and maybe understand the terminology - I am not a tech person and I find I am lost trying to use my iphone 4s. An explanation of the apps and settings would be a BIG HELP - something like a dictionary, defining the terms and terminology.....

Adobe only sell the latest version of Creative Suite which is CS6 so you can't buy CS5 anymore. Upgrades are also only available from CS5 to CS6 so CS3 wouldn't qualify anyway.

Anyone know if there will be a Garageband app for the ipad?

I'd buy one today if I could use it with Garageband. The flexibility of being able to take it anywhere and record/edit tracks, considering it's size and the excellent screen, would make it worth the money to me.
Just wondering if anyone has seen/heard anything about such an app. There would have to be a way to use the USB port as an input, but other than that, you could save the files the your mac but be able to move it around so easily...would be great.

Apple has not announced GarageBand for the iPad nor anything similar but that doesn't mean that they won't release something in the future. Meanwhile, there are companies like Sonoma WireWorks and Krasidy that are already producing multitrack recording apps for the iPad or iPhone. Sonoma has a version specifically for the iPad, so that might be worth checking out.
I haven't seen anything that uses the Dock connector to expand the input capabilities, but there may be something out there, or the new SDK may allow such a thing in the future.

Anyone know about a clear iPhone 4 bumper available in the US? I saw one online from a tech site in Europe, but they only ship to Europe and Asia... I figured if there was a clear bumper, we could still enjoy the look of the steel portions of the iPhone 4, and cover any weak spots of the antennae that might exist... Any thoughts? Might there be one available next week on apple.com when we have our choice of a bumper or 3rd party vender???

its not a bumper buy i bought a clear silicone "case" by incase called the "rain". it does have a pretty cool design on the back and the sides are see thru. i put my wifes black iphone 4 in it and i can still see the back of the iphone clearly as well as the metal antenna sides. just an option if you cant find a clear bumper...plus it provides more protection than a bumper...

The website version is nowhere near as functional as the original app. It can't even go into fullscreen mode. I hope Google will make a decent version of YouTube for the iPad like they did for the iPhone. Third party apps seem to fall short in terms of software fluidity and features right now.

Thanks for your prompt response, however I have first seen it now. I have placed an active SIM card in the iPhone turned it off and on. It now says SIM locked, please write access code. The problem is I don't remember the password. When I connect it to iTunes it tell me that I have to write the password before it can be used with iTunes...... Do you have any good ideas? As the King says, if your friends wifi router was relatively new, it likely has not been picked up by Apple's location based information database system and thus there is no location information associated with it. So your iPad had no way of getting its location.
The wifi location databases are traditionally updated by wardriving - literally companies employ people to drive around sniffing out active wifi signals and associating an approximate location to it. Some companies also have web sites to submit that information if owners wish to (Apple does not seem to have one though), and the various companies with wifi location databases buy and sell their information. Bottom line is though, it can take weeks, months or sometimes even longer for a residential router to get picked up - depends on where you live (more rural, likely the longer time it takes).
When I moved from VA to NC it took up to 6 months for mine to reflect my new location (I checked it once the week I moved in, and then periodically thereafter, and it finally was getting it right after about 6 months) and I live in a pretty densley populated area (triangle NC).

No there is nothing you can do to correct it. It is a hardware fault and only Apple can correct it by replacing parts in your Mac. More then likely the Logic board has failed. Specifically the GPU which is soldered to the Logic board so the complete logic board must be replaced.
