HELP***iCloud storage help needed

Can you let me know why if I have 14 gb of space left in my 50 gb plan that icloud won't let me back up my phone on icloud? It says I have run out of run, yet I have 14 gigs left??

The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud. Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available on the device. Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud as well. Tap Show All Apps to get the complete list of apps and MB used for backup storage.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.

Are you sure it's storage on icloud that you're getting messages about, and not your device. If your device's memory is getting full, try deleting video, photos (after syncing them to a computer - but you should always be doing that), and any other large files and try doing whatever you were doing that led to those errors/warnings.
It would also help if you told us exactly what operation(s) led to the warnings.

Music on your phone is either purchased from iTunes or synced from a computer. If from iTunes, it doesn't use your iCloud allocation and can be redownloaded from the store if necessary, if from your computer then it is already elsewhere.
I'm not suggesting your use will be identical to mine but I have the 32 GB phone I use less than 1 GB for syncing documents and data, however I back up to iTunes rather than iCloud, but if I did back up to iCloud, I'd need about 4 GB.

I have uploaded every single cd I own to I-Cloud. I thought that I could access any of this from my phone but from reading this, I can't access I-cloud from my phone to listen to music? I can't find this information anywhere. The only way I know to do this would be to buy the biggest storage plan and see how much memory is used and then downgrade

You would be better off doing it the other way around: start with the free 5GB storage and then purchase more storage if you need it. (It's highly unusual that you would need the largest storage plan, unless you are backing up and syncing data to the same account with multiple iOS devices.)

With that iCloud storage that you purchased, is used for mainly for iCloud Backup for your iPad Air, app data as in games and documents for like iWork and other apps that save data locally within the app. Dealing with photos in your Photo Stream they actually do not count towards that storage plan. If you don’t think that the storage is going to work for you, then cancel the upgrade you just made.

I have 218 mob left on my iCloud storage, and I want to have more space on it. My camera roll takes up 3.1 gb of my iCloud storage, what is the easiest way to make more room? Should I delete a lot of my pictures?

If you have a Mac try the native application called "Image Capture"
Connect your iPhone via lightning cable to your Mac and fire the app up.
There you can easily import your images to Finder if you want to keep them. And delete them afterwards with the following button
But that does not directly affect your iCloud Storage i guess... The best way i know would be to open iPhoto or Aperture->iCloud(from the sidebar) and save your images from there and then also delete the pictures there.

I neeed to reduce my iCloud storage due to the upcoming mobile me changes.
I have a huge amount of mail storage, my question, what is the best way to store old email files locally rather than on iCloud? can archive store locally?

In Mail on your Mac:
Create a new mailbox: make sure that it's under 'On My Mac' not 'iCloud'.
Go to your inbox, or wherever your old emails are store, in the 'iCloud' part of your list in Mail.
Select the latest, then shift-click the earliest, of the emails you want to move. I shouldn't try to do too many at once.
Drag them to the mailbox you just created.
Take the dog for a walk while they download. They will be removed from the server.
You'll have to do this from time to time to keep the numbers on iCloud down (Rules apply only to mail as it comes in so AFAIK you can't apply the process automatically to emails once they reach a certain age).

iCloud storage has nothing to do with the memory available on your iPhone.
