LogMeIn Rescue is a service that allows someone to connect to your system to assist with troubleshooting. See:
http://www.logmein.com
The .pkg file is, I believe, a utility that can help gather information about your computer for the use of those attempting to provide support via the LogMeIn service. If you aren't certain that you're going to be using the LogMeIn service - this may have been set up by the dealer, if you purchased the computer through a dealer, so check with them, it may already be installed - don't install it. Just trash the .pkg file.
Regards.

  • Need help identifying icons!

    Hello, i downloaded a template at work for a commercial spot.  I pretty much understand how the project was made and what needs to  be done with it except a few icons i dont understand.  Can anyone tell me what these icons mean in this precomp of text please?
    Just having difficulty understanding the different icons from 1 down to 5.  This is what the comp window looks like.
    Whoever can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.  The project is finished and the commercial runs fine, but im trying to learn from this template and make my own.  I know those are maybe a few mask icons and such, but not really sure.  so if anyone can explain what 1 through 5 are, that'd be great.

    A solid color layer is just that, a layer with a solid color applied. It has no content except the color unless you add a plug-in to render something on the layer.
    A text layer is just that, a layer of text
    A track Matte is a layer that provides transparency information to the layer directly below it
    A guide layer is a layer that can contain anything from footage to graphics that is used for a guide when placing other elements. Guide layers do not render.
    The very top layer in your project does not appear to be doing anything It is turned off.
    The text layer is also turned off.
    The second revealer matte layer is set to provide alpha transparency to the layer below but it is also visible. Again, I don't know what it's doing because I can't see effects applied or other info about your comp. If you want to see what's really going on select all layers and press the U key twice. You'll also need to include the comp window in the screenshot.
    The stripe layer is a blue solid with an effect applied that is taking some alpha information from the revealer matte layer.
    I'm not sure what the guide layer is showing. You can find out by turning it on and off.
    Layers are stacked up exactly the same way they are in Photoshop or when making a collage with a pair of scissors and a bunch of photos or colored paper. Put the background on the bottom then add your elements as required to make your composition.
    This is more than basic stuff. Please follow Todd's suggestion and read the getting started materials and feel free to type those terms in AE;'s Search Help field at the top right corner of the App. You'll find lots of info. You can't effectively learn AE by just poking around in it unless you are already very familiar with compositing, layering, mattes, blend modes, and the like. AE is a program that can perform any type of composite or motion graphics you have ever seen in a movie if you have  the right source material and understand how compositing works. Because it's so powerful and versatile you can't effectively just jump in and figure things out without some serious study. You'll be hopelessly lost.

    I need help identifying an old Macintosh game: it was a painting game where you rode a roller coaster to an art museum and you got to pick what kind of art work you were going to make. It was animated, 2D i believe. This was the early 90's and I've been trying to hunt it down. I think there was some kind of animal in it, a giraffe maybe?

    Could you be thinking of Microsoft Home's "Fine Artist" for Macintosh, as shown in this Amazon.com listing?  This program was bundled with the Performa series of Macs during the mid-90s.

  • Help identifying an instrument/synth in a clip

    I don't know any better place to ask these sorts of questions, so if anyone has any recommendations for better places to ask these questions, let me know.
    I need help identifying a sound in this clip. I'm interested in the style of music and its components. In this clip, I can identify the drums, the bass guitar, a rhythm guitar offering a pad of strumming, a lead guitar going through some distortion, plucked every few seconds.
    But there's a noisy, fuzzy "ahhhhh" pad underneath it all. Can anyone suggest what it is, or how it mightve been made? It sounds to me like a "choir" sample run through some fuzz and gentle modulation to ebb and flow beneath the rest of the song. But it could also be a synth.
    I'm trying to re-create the sound. This is the first 20 seconds of a song called "Alison" by a 90's shoegaze band called Slowdive.

    I need help identifying which Magsafe Power Adapter I need for my Macbook Pro Model A1398, EMC 2673?

    Provided the computer-end fits, you are free to use one with a HIGHER Wattage rating. No damage whatsoever will be done to any component, but it will likely run cooler (but may be slightly heavier).
    If you use one with too LOW a Wattage rating, you will not be able to charge and run at the same time, and your computer's top speed (for its most intensive computations) will be limited.

  • Help Identify Card

    Recently bought HP Pavillion 7670 (Core Duo E6600) which comes with "Ati Radeon x1600se 512 MB" video card.
    System running Windows XP MCE 2005 (all up-to-date)
    I have identified this to be manufactured by MSI [MS-V040B0609060667].
    However I cannot find a 512 MB 1600 card in the product range. :(
    The problem I have is that Device Manager was reporting this as a 1600 series card, until I updated to the latest driver from Ati [8.31-061011a-038529C-ATI]. It now reports this as a 1300 series card.
    Anyone got a clue what is going on and help identify the card?

    Thanks for all the advice.
    Have removed all the drivers as suggested and re-installed HP update.
    Seems okay now: -

  • Help Assistant Icon in Taskbar

    The Help Assistant icon showed up in my taskbar saying that an important BIOS update was available for my HP Pavilion running Windows 7.  I have downloaded and installed the update --- twice -- and the computer has been restarted 3 times, but the icon in the taskbar still won't go away, and when I click on it says I need the update already installed. How do I get this icon to go away? Thanks

    kali,
    that will come up to show you when you have something Java running. To close out of that once it is open, is to close out of all of your browser (IE for example) windows to reset the Java runtime environment.

  • Help identifying a font ASAP!

    Please don't cruify me for the following, but I need help identifying this hideous font. Client is adamant on it, out of my hands. I could swear I've seen it before, I think it may be some PC font. Looks like Curlz MT, but not quite.
    Thanks

    It's called Gigi - the ITC version is available from fonts.com (and probably other vendors). I think it was also bundled with some version of Windows a long time ago.

    Edit: It was bundled with some versions of Microsoft Office.

  • Help identifying port on T61p

    Hi,
    I know this is going to be a really noob question but I'm a bit confused here.
    I got a USB3 Express card (this one) for my T61P to add some more USB ports but I don't think this is the right card.
    The card is loose in the slot and the Thinkpad doesn't even recognise it.
    Can I confirm the kind of slot this is? I've taken a picture of it to further help identify it.
    I always assumed that it would be a Express 54 card.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    There is no screw, and it is confusing. T61 models were made with a choice of 2 different assemblies. One supported a smart card and a PC card, while the other supported a PC card and an express card. The part you need is 42X3827, but swapping it in requires complete disassembly. It plugs into the motherboard, which must be removed from the base and the magnesium frame must be removed.

  • Help identifying microdimm

    I've got a 72-pin microdimm that was in the bag with a laptop I inherited at work. It certainly isn't for the Portege that it was in the bag with but I'm wondering whether it will fit my Vaio, can anyone offer any help identifying it?
    The PCB has "B36009811019 A" and "MCD352" printed at the bottom and it has 16 ICs on it with the part number "HM51W4400BLTT7".
    Thanks!

    Hello
    Sorry but this kind of information you can get just from technicians. In my opinion you should contact the notebook producer support or service partner. I am pretty sure that they can identify the module and give you proper information.
    Bye

  • Displaying Help Button \ Icon in Fiori Launchpad

    Hello experts,
    I have read that it is possible to display contextual help for different Fiori applications in the Fiori Launchpad header.
    Question: Where do you define the Help URL that enables the Help button\Icon in Fiori Launchpad Header area?
    thank you.
    Rob.

    Hello Masa,
    I have a quick question.
    As mentioned in the Adding and Removing Custom Items to the Options Menu - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library,
    the following lines of codes needs to be added to create custom Buttons in the Fiorilaunchpad menu.
    <SCRIPT language ="JavaScript">
    var button1 = new sap.m.Button();
    var rendererExt = sap.ushell.renderers.fiori2.RendererExtensions;
    rendererExt.addOptionsActionSheetButton(button1,rendererExt.LaunchpadState.Home,rendererExt.LaunchpadState.Catalog,rendererExt.LaunchpadState.App);
    rendererExt.removeOptionsActionSheetButton(button1,rendererExt.LaunchpadState.Home,rendererExt.LaunchpadState.Catalog,rendererExt.LaunchpadState.App);
    <SCRIPT>
    Can you please tell, where these lines of code need to be added ?
    should one directly modify FioriLaunchpad.html ?
    Regards,
    Anil

  • MSI P67A-G43 (B3) - Need help identifying this postcode

    Need help identifying this postcode:
    CPU:i7-2600k
    Mobo:MSI P67A-G43 (B3)
    PSU: Corsair 750w
    GPU isn't the problem since I replaced it and still get this postcode. RAM isn't the problem since I've tried four different sticks one at a time in each slot and still get the postcode. Getting no live video from the GTX580 and no onboard video. I think either the mobo or the CPU is the problem, don't want to have to send both in for RMA so if anyone can help me identify the postcode that'd be great.

    Hey Ctrl
    Well I happen to have the same beep code on my motherboard (P67A-C43 B3), after trying different suggestions from the MSI forum users and MSI technical support I ended up RMA(ing) my motherboard.
    You can try resetting the CMOS, by flipping the battery and leaving it like that for 5 minutes and putting it back to its original side. I highly doubt it is your cpu. Like anybody in the forum might suggest, try different components which appears you already did. I doubt your corsair is faulty. CPU and motherboard are your best bet that are faulty, and i highly doubt that it is the CPU because for there to find another person (you) that had the same problem as me since last friday (RMA board yesterday, wednesday) I find it highly unlikely.
