Help identifying port on T61p
Hi,
I know this is going to be a really noob question but I'm a bit confused here.
I got a USB3 Express card (this one) for my T61P to add some more USB ports but I don't think this is the right card.
The card is loose in the slot and the Thinkpad doesn't even recognise it.
Can I confirm the kind of slot this is? I've taken a picture of it to further help identify it.
I always assumed that it would be a Express 54 card.
Solved!
Go to Solution.
There is no screw, and it is confusing. T61 models were made with a choice of 2 different assemblies. One supported a smart card and a PC card, while the other supported a PC card and an express card. The part you need is 42X3827, but swapping it in requires complete disassembly. It plugs into the motherboard, which must be removed from the base and the magnesium frame must be removed.

Need help identifying ports needed to access a website.
I am trying to access the following site:
Interactive mapping | City of Lawrence, Kansas
At the bottom of the page is a button that states "I agree with the above disclaimer".
When I press that button, I am redirected to this site:
http://ims03.ci.lawrence.ks.us:10002/iisstart.htm
I have added these rules:
Source Interface: All
Destination Interface: Public Interface
Packet Type: MapSite Out
Protocol: TCP
Source Port: 1024-65535
Destination Port: 10002
Source Address: All
Destination Address: 208.191.35.52
Source Interface: All
Destination Interface: Public Interface
Packet Type: MapSite In
Protocol: TCP
Source Port: 10002
Destination Port: 1024-65535
Source Address: 208.191.35.52
Destination Address: All
I get a "Loading the viewer" text message, but then eventually get a 504 Gateway TimeOut error.
If I drop the BorderManager Firewall...
unload ipflt
unload ipxflt
unload filtserv
then the site works just fine.
I just can't seem to get the filter exceptions correct for this site.
Any help would be appreciated. In article <[email protected]>, Cadd wrote:

This looks good. TCP packets with dest. Port 10002 will be allowed to
pass through BM only if they go from the private to the public
interface, and only if they are addressed to 208.191.35.52. So far so
good, but since you made this non-stateful, you have to add a return
exception. (Easier for you to make another exception, like '10002-st'
and just enable the stateful feature on it).
Your goal in the next exception is to allow the replies to these
outbound packets. Everything will be reversed in the exception for the
replies - interfaces, ports and addresses.

This one is the problem. It only allows the 10002 replies (source
port) from 208.191.35.52 if the reply is passing through the public
interface second. You did not reverse the interfaces. The packet
needs to go from public to private (or public to all if you have more
than one private interface). This exception is not allowing the return
in, which you would see if you have filter debug enabled looking at tcp
discards. You would see ACK packets with source port 10002 being
discarded.

Recently bought HP Pavillion 7670 (Core Duo E6600) which comes with "Ati Radeon x1600se 512 MB" video card.
System running Windows XP MCE 2005 (all up-to-date)
I have identified this to be manufactured by MSI [MS-V040B0609060667].
However I cannot find a 512 MB 1600 card in the product range. :(
The problem I have is that Device Manager was reporting this as a 1600 series card, until I updated to the latest driver from Ati [8.31-061011a-038529C-ATI]. It now reports this as a 1300 series card.
Anyone got a clue what is going on and help identify the card? Thanks for all the advice.
Have removed all the drivers as suggested and re-installed HP update.
Seems okay now: -

I need help identifying an old Macintosh game: it was a painting game where you rode a roller coaster to an art museum and you got to pick what kind of art work you were going to make. It was animated, 2D i believe. This was the early 90's and I've been trying to hunt it down. I think there was some kind of animal in it, a giraffe maybe?
Could you be thinking of Microsoft Home's "Fine Artist" for Macintosh, as shown in this Amazon.com listing? This program was bundled with the Performa series of Macs during the mid-90s.

Help identifying an instrument/synth in a clip
I don't know any better place to ask these sorts of questions, so if anyone has any recommendations for better places to ask these questions, let me know.
I need help identifying a sound in this clip. I'm interested in the style of music and its components. In this clip, I can identify the drums, the bass guitar, a rhythm guitar offering a pad of strumming, a lead guitar going through some distortion, plucked every few seconds.
But there's a noisy, fuzzy "ahhhhh" pad underneath it all. Can anyone suggest what it is, or how it mightve been made? It sounds to me like a "choir" sample run through some fuzz and gentle modulation to ebb and flow beneath the rest of the song. But it could also be a synth.
I'm trying to re-create the sound. This is the first 20 seconds of a song called "Alison" by a 90's shoegaze band called Slowdive.

I need help identifying which Magsafe Power Adapter I need for my Macbook Pro Model A1398, EMC 2673?
Provided the computer-end fits, you are free to use one with a HIGHER Wattage rating. No damage whatsoever will be done to any component, but it will likely run cooler (but may be slightly heavier).
If you use one with too LOW a Wattage rating, you will not be able to charge and run at the same time, and your computer's top speed (for its most intensive computations) will be limited. -
Hi newb here , Can anyone help with Port Forwardin...
Hi guys
Newb here on Broadband Option 3 .
New to the world of BTorrents ( hope thats not a dirty word ) and just need some help on Port Forwarding with the Curved Blue Voyager ( latest one I think )
Problem is I can't seem to upload anything back and obviously I dont just wanna leech all the time lol
Thanks in advance
HFirst of welcome to BT Community Forums, although your in the help with speed/connection issues section and bit-torrent is nothing to do with BT but i'll still try to help.
downloading a torrent file is one thing but just because you download does'nt mean you need to upload anything if for example your downloading something with say 100 seeders and 15 leechers then you may find that you dont upload anything or very little, thats nothing to worry about at all.
Or
If you've made a torrent and cant figure out why its not uploading it may be due to the fact you need to upload the small torrent file to a p2p site in order for others to see it.
Hope this small insight into the world of torrents helps, but i dont know what else to tell you on this subject.
Kindest Regards

Help identifying a font ASAP!
Please don't cruify me for the following, but I need help identifying this hideous font. Client is adamant on it, out of my hands. I could swear I've seen it before, I think it may be some PC font. Looks like Curlz MT, but not quite.
ThanksIt's called Gigi - the ITC version is available from fonts.com (and probably other vendors). I think it was also bundled with some version of Windows a long time ago.

Edit: It was bundled with some versions of Microsoft Office. -

I've got a 72-pin microdimm that was in the bag with a laptop I inherited at work. It certainly isn't for the Portege that it was in the bag with but I'm wondering whether it will fit my Vaio, can anyone offer any help identifying it?
The PCB has "B36009811019 A" and "MCD352" printed at the bottom and it has 16 ICs on it with the part number "HM51W4400BLTT7".
Thanks!Hello
Sorry but this kind of information you can get just from technicians. In my opinion you should contact the notebook producer support or service partner. I am pretty sure that they can identify the module and give you proper information.

MSI P67A-G43 (B3) - Need help identifying this postcode
Need help identifying this postcode:
CPU:i7-2600k
Mobo:MSI P67A-G43 (B3)
PSU: Corsair 750w
GPU isn't the problem since I replaced it and still get this postcode. RAM isn't the problem since I've tried four different sticks one at a time in each slot and still get the postcode. Getting no live video from the GTX580 and no onboard video. I think either the mobo or the CPU is the problem, don't want to have to send both in for RMA so if anyone can help me identify the postcode that'd be great.Hey Ctrl
Well I happen to have the same beep code on my motherboard (P67A-C43 B3), after trying different suggestions from the MSI forum users and MSI technical support I ended up RMA(ing) my motherboard.
You can try resetting the CMOS, by flipping the battery and leaving it like that for 5 minutes and putting it back to its original side. I highly doubt it is your cpu. Like anybody in the forum might suggest, try different components which appears you already did. I doubt your corsair is faulty. CPU and motherboard are your best bet that are faulty, and i highly doubt that it is the CPU because for there to find another person (you) that had the same problem as me since last friday (RMA board yesterday, wednesday) I find it highly unlikely. -
I just replaced my macbook's batter and charger about a month ago, but it hasn't been charging for about 2 days now? Could someone help identify the problem and/or provide a solution.
Try Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

Hey, I just got a w510 and am having trouble identifying a port right above the usb/eSATA combo port. It's long and thin, almost looks like it's meant for setting RFID cards or something. Any body have any clues? I can't seem to find any specs on it. Maybe it's just an open slot, or an express card I haven't seen before.
You can see the slot here right above the combo, 1394 and wifi switch
http://www.lenovo.com/images/OneWebImages/SubSeries/gallery/laptops/ThinkPad-W530-Laptop-PC-4-Side-V...
It does fit a regular type ID card rather snuggly.
Thanks for the help!okie dokie, after more research, I think it's a smart card reader. Which is pretty cool. Now this has me wondering, is this a read only interface, or can it wrtie data to smart cards? As in, could I potentially create an admin key and a regular user key?
When I run lspci, I don't see anything regarding a smart card reader, so I'm also wondering is it possible this slot is just empty? (found it in lsusb) Or is the hardware there, and just need the right drivers (sounds like libccid)?
Thanks again -
Help Identify the root cause of this error
Hi,
We have a dynamic region in a jsf page. Its value (bounded task flow) depends on the menu item being selected. Each bounded task flow has some task flows and fragments within. In production, users get this below error rarely. This error is not reproducable, but comes rarely like 1 out of 200 times. The error from the log:

I tried everything, but not able to find the root cause of the error. Kindly help.
Edited by: Kartick on May 16, 2013 8:06 PMHi,
your code uses the following bean
#{sessionScope.userBean.userLocale}
to set a locale. This returns NULL and as such JSF does seem to have a problem to query the Home.jsf page, not creating the ADF binding context because of a missing UI View Root. So the question is : why is the userLocale "null" randomly. I would think that once you figure this out, you get a solution. A solution would be to change the getUserLocale() method in this bean to return a default user locale if the usre specific locale cannot be determined or is set to null.

Looking For Help for porting PC utility to Mac
Hi,
I am looking for local Mac developer(s)who could help me to port my MXF utility (HDV M2T=>QT conversion) to Mac OS X. I need someone who is around SF Bay Area. It's a simple program however requires knowlegde of threads. (I use worker thread. simple one) Please contact me at [email protected] if you are interested.
<Edited by Moderator>Why was this merely "edited by moderator"? It should be removed or moved to the appropriate forum. Wait, there is no "solicitation" forum.
