HELP Im losing my mind-can't find my iPhone on iTunes !,

So then here goes.....
My iPhone automatically shut down one night and wouldn't start up...
I rang apple they said do a soft reset so I did...
Now my phone will start, I can text, send and receive calls and log onto safari but anytime I try to open an app it fails in 1 second...
Now I have just logged onto iTunes to try to and reinstall all of my apps but iTunes won't recognise my phone at all!
I'm scared to sync it incase I lose all of my music, videos etc
What could be the problem and how will I get it to recognise my phone again? I deleted iTunes and reinstalled it already and it's recognizing my husbands Iphone but not mine.......any ideas?

If you didn't have Find My iPhone enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone along with location services enabled, you must look for it the old fashioned way.

I have already tried following those steps. I went back and tried to follow them again but they did not work. Some of my songs have synced, some have not. And I am still not seeing the Autofill icon on the bottom of the menu or anywhere else. I fear something has been corrupted here and I need to start afresh.

ITunes can't find or create the iTunes Folder (in Vista). SOMEBODY HELP ME!

I have installed iTunes in my Windows Vista but i can't run it because it appears an error showing: iTunes can't find or create the iTunes folder. This folder is usually located in My Music Folder.
The problem is that I erased the original folder "my music" from my computer and even if I create another "my music" folder and I put in the iTunes folder, the program doesen't work.
Please help me!

The problem is that iTunes uses a registry entry to find the location of the Music folder and it is not correctly set.
Apple offer this help for Windows XP, however it requires a utility called TweakUI and Miscrosoft haven't released a version for Vista. I found this link for an alternative, but I know nothing about it so I don't like to recommend it:

As alternative to this you may be able to do the following as a work around:
Hold down the shift key, keep it held down and start iTunes. You should be asked to choose or create a library. Choose create and navigate to where you want your iTunes folder - usually in your Music folder.

In order to recover the tags/albums, etc, you need to have the catalog db. Since currently you only have images, the organization done in the older catalog is probably lost.
Which version of PSE you have and is there any chance, that you have access to catalog location (default is : %programdata%\adobe\elements organizer\catalogs on Windows and ~/library/app support/adobe/organizer/catalogs on MAC) ?

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. Depending on which device you used to purchase the audiobook, you may have to specifically enable its sync.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here. If you can't find the app in the store then it may have been removed either via the app developer or by Apple - have you not got a copy of it somewhere e.g. on your computer or on a backup ?
