Help, image is resizing when opening PH3 out off LR2

Hi guys,
i have a problem when I open a 10,2 MB image from LR2 with PS3. It will open in PS3 but has rezised to 51MB. I use MacBook Pro.
What can I do to change that!
Cheers Dirk

Dirk,
Where are you seeing the file size change? File formats that use compression, such as .jpg and .psd will balloon in size when opened, but store compact.

  • Images not displaying when open in Dreamweaver

Hi, my images on the page
    oldfortestates.com/about_st.vincent.htm do not display properly
when open in DW however they do on the server when opened with a
browser. They are stored in the images folder in the site root. I
have this problem with all my pages...

Going back to my original comment, if you change the name

    (File Not Found)
    to
    http://oldfortestates.com/images/table_bck1.jpg
    the image is there.

If it were me, yes, I would start over.

I am far from being the best person to give advice, I would
    steer clear of
javascript menus for a start - they don't work with
    javascript turned off.
There are many good ones recommended here,
    www.projectseven.com and others
Start with a clean page and investigate Server Side Includes
    with a good
menu (see many recommendations here) or, as you suggest (you
    don't have many
    pages), a template.
Make sure you save the template File > Save As Template.
    >then rename the individual pages
No, create child pages from the template, giving them names.
    I wouldn't
rename anything you already have, the code is... bad.
Check out your validation errors to make sure you don't
    repeat your
    mistakes.
You'd be wise to look at
    http://www.w3schools.com/ for
    HTML and CSS.
As I said, I'm not the best person to help but hope this does
    a bit.

  • Images pre-edited when opened in Editor

I have used PSE 11 for a few years and all of the sudden this week my images are being "auto edited" when opened.  When I open an image in Editor it has already been edited a bit… it looks different than the image in Organizer.  I want to edit the images myself.  Did I accidentally turn some "auto edit" on?  How can I turn this off?

I just figured out that after the image is opened in Editor, I can go Image-- Convert Color Profile-- Remove Color Profile.  That gives me the original image.  But, does anyone know how to turn this off for good?

  • Image colour changes when opening in Adobe Flash

    Hi folks
I'm a complete novice when it comes to Flash so I hope you can help me out. I've been trying to open a jpeg image in Actionscript 3.0 which opens without any issues however part of the lettering in the image appears to display as a different colour as if Flash doesn't recognise the colour in the image. The strange thing is that it opens in photoshop as the correct colour but not in Flash. Would the colour scheme that the image uses perhaps need to be added to Flash database of colours?
    Your help is much appreciated.
    Thanks

Not to worry figured it out.
When I open the image in photoshop the default Image Mode was set to CMYK Color. I changed this to RGB Colour, re-saved the image, exported it to Flash and it's the correct color.

  • Illustrator Application Window Resizes When Opening Smart Object from PSD

Hi All, I've taken a vector graphic created in AI CS4 and pasted it into my PSD CS4 doc as a smart object. When the original AI file was created the application window was set as I preferred it, filling my screen. When I double click the Smart Object in PSD to edit it back in Illy, the window that contains the application has been switched off of the fill screen mode and is quite a bit smaller. I know it's small but now I have to click the maximize icon in the application bar to get Illy to fill the screen again. It wouldn't be so bad once, but the application window resizes itself every time I punch back into the smart object from PSD.
Any ideas on how I can get the AI environment from switching around on its own??
Win 7, CS4, all patches current, Dual 22" montiors
    thnx,
    jeff

I just want to point out that when you open the smart object of course it is not the same file as the original but an embedded copy of it.
That might also have something to do with this issue and might also be a photoshop issue with the smart object and one reason might be that Photoshop is see the image as resolution and Illustrator sees it as a dimension and the teams might be able to do something about this but might not actually be aware of it unless you file a report even if it is not a bug it would then be a feature request.
They might not be able to do anything about it but then there might be a clever engineer with an idea, so it might be worth the report.

  • Photoshop diplays all images with desaturated colors (Images look fine when opened in other apps)

All of a sudden, when I open any image in Photoshop, the colors appear to be desaturated...In Photoshop only. When I open that same image in Window Picture Viewer, or Quicktimer, or even if I drag the image into a brower window, the colors appear fine. But in Photoshop, something is clearly wrong. Now, I can make color adjustments to the image, but when I save and reopen reopen it in another application, I can see that color changes have been made, but they still don't match what Photoshop is displaying.
The images are RGB image...I've checked the color space setings in Photoshop, and they are the default (Edit > Color Settings: North American General Purpose 2 / RGB: sRGB IEC61966-2.1 / CMYK: US Web Coated (SWOP) V2, etc, etc). I also made sure View > Proof Setup was set to: Working CMYK. I even reset Photoshop to it's default settings (by holding down CTRL-ALT-SHIFT on launching Photoshop)...But the images still appear desaturated when I open them in Photoshop...So, I don't understand how this is still a Photoshop problem...But then again, they look fine when I use any other application on my computer to open them, so it's clearly not an issue with my monitor.
The frustrating thing is, I haven't made any changes to Photoshop OR my monitor (that I know about)...Photoshop has worked perfectly for me for years, and now there's this SNAFU that I just can not figure out.
    Any suggestions?
I've included a screenshot below to show the disparity between an image opened in Photoshop (on left) and Windows Picture Viewer (on right):
Photoshop image on left, with desaturated colors...Same image in Windows Picture Viewer on right, where colors appear normal.
Any and all help is much appreciated : )
    Best,
    -Austin

It's difficult to provide help without knowing your level of color-management expertise, but I think you've helped us some with that in post number 2.
Color management is basically this:  Images and devices have certain color characteristics, and these are described by color profiles, sometimes also called color spaces.
    1.  You should not need to use the Proof Setup at all to view your images on your monitor.  When things are set up properly Photoshop shows you accurate color without your choosing View - Proof Colors.
    2.  A color-managed application like Photoshop will try to show you accurate color on your display by interpreting both the image profile and your monitor profile and transforming the colors accordingly.  BY DEFINITION this will look different than other applications which don't do color-management as these just pump the image RGB values directly out to the display.
    Thus:
If your monitor profile indicates your monitor has a wide gamut, images with embedded profiles may appear less saturated inside Photoshop than from non-color-managed apps.
If you view images that have an embedded wide gamut profile (such as Adobe RGB 1998 or ProPhoto RGB), Photoshop and other color-managed applications will interpret that profile and the colors will likely appear more saturated in Photoshop than in a non-color-managed application.
It sounds as though the first case applies in your case here.
You can check to see what monitor profile is associated with your monitor through OS settings.  I'm thinking, based on the caption buttons in your screen grab, that you've got Windows XP, but rather than go further with that assumption, I'll ask you to verify it first.

  • Adobe Reader 8.2.4 - HELP - Grows to 944MB when opening simple PDF (Fine in 7,9 and X)

    Hi,
In our organization, we have started receiving PDF's which break Adobe 8.
    They are about 800k.
First, it hangs, the executable grows to around 944MB, and then the PDF appears.
After this scrolling through the PDF hangs. Especially when you hit the pages with images.
The PDF contains about 10 or 11 images.
Its not possible to upgrade right now due to Corporate Policy.
WinXP using 8.2.4, tried to disable all plugins, disable all image related preferences - no help - it must be base functionality that just does not like this PDF.
Opens fine and scrolls fine in 7,9 and X.
Any ideas? Its a major problem....

  • Why are my images suddenly desaturating when opening in Photoshop?

    HELP!
When I am opening images in Photoshop now they are desaturated. I can open images that are 5 years old and it does it for every one. I thought it was a Photomatix issue but realized it happens with every image in my catalog
    Thanks!

"Catalog"?  Are you referencing Ps Elements perhaps?
Wrong forum.  We do not do Elements here.

  • Image gets stretched when menu slides out on the iPad

I'm using this docking menu (http://www.jankoatwarpspeed.com/examples/AdvancedDocking/) with some small changes and running into an issue with the left menu stretching to the size of the 'dock' menu. I can only recreated it on the iPad and not with any browser on a pc. One odd part is that the entire left tab menu gets stretched out and not just the tab that is being hovered on. I'm fairly new to jQuery so I'm sure of its impact but haven't found this issue when looking around.
    Any help is appreciated

Figured it out. The z-index on the slide-out menu was lower than the tabs which doesn't cause an issue anywhere else except the iPad. On the iPad the higher image (the tabs) basically stretches across both layers.
To fix it I simply gave the slide-out menu higher z so that it is always in front. It doesn't have the same aesthetic but is pretty close.

  • How to make pictures not resize when opened in their own window.

I just upgraded to Safari v3 and despite all the good changes I've found one frustrating thing. In the old version when I opened a picture in its own window and it was bigger than what could fit in the window it wouldn't resize. It just came up as a full-resolution image. But with the new version, it does the thing that I hated with internet explorer and resizes it to fit the screen. It's not a big deal but it's enough to bug me.
I've searched the preferences menus and this discussion board, but I still can't find a way to change it back to the old way of not adjusting.
Is it even possible or will I have to get used to it?
    Thanks!

  • Why do my images look blurry when opened in photoshop?

Hi! i was just wondering if i could get some help with a problem i've been getting since yesterday.
Before yesterday morning, my photoshop was working just fine but then yesterday morning when i opened this image.
    It would look like this
instead of it looking like the first image above, the thing though is when i export the image from photoshop as a png, jpeg or any other it looks normal again like this.
This is the first time this has ever happened so i'm not really sure about what to do.
I'm using photoshop cs6 and i've also uninstall and reinstall photoshop about 2 times now but it doesn't fix it
so if anyone can help me that would be great.
    Thanks.

Yes.  They don't make any sense to me either.  Are we supposed to be looking at a blank dark gray rectangle, or has the upload process failed the OP ?

  • Images very "grainy" when opened in PS CC...why??

Hey people! I'm pretty green when it comes to PS and I have ONE problem (i'll solve the others on my own...) I tested the free trial version of PS CC and all was sweet. After the trial I started to subscribe to PS and the problem is that when I open an image its all grainy, very grainy. Black and white images are super grainy and everything looks just bad.... What's going on? I use a PC, Win 7.
Thank full for any help on this matter!
    Kind regards
    Neil

If the images looked ok before, it could be a video driver issue. Try updating the driver and see if it fixes the issue.

  • My PS4 opens an Adobe help site in browser when opening Color Picker...!

    Hi guys,
    just as in subject,
sometimes (there is no rule) when i'm opening a Color Picker window and moving cursor on the palette - my internet browser opens Adobe help site...
It's horrible! When i try to get back to PS it immidiately starts another tab, and another it takes less than 1 second...
Did you ever noticed a bug like this or maybe you have a ready solution.
    Thanks for help guys!

Do you have a wireless keyboard?  I am wondering if you are getting an erronious 'F1' being sent.  If yes to the wireless keyboard, then maybe a driver issue.  Or maybe faulty hardware.  Do you have another keyboard you could swap out?

  • Image automatically resizing when moved onto a new tab

When I'm moving a picture onto a canvas, it is automatically resized to a very small size. I wish only for the picture to move onto the canvas, then still keeping it's size. Afterwards, I wish to resize it myself using ctrl + t but the automatic small size is preventing me from making it better size, and less pixelated.
Does anyone has a solution to turn off this automatic resizing?

What resolution is the canvas and what size is the image (in pixels). Go to Image > Image Size...
