Help in identifying best available development framework and language for native app development for Windows and mac osx desktops through single code base
Hi Guys
i am try to identify the right development framework and technology for developing GUI application which can run on windows and mac osx.
i am sure that there will be specific handling for both of these os, but at the same time there could lot of code can be same.
is it possible to fulfill requirements of both these OS's through single code base. As of now i am more experienced with Dotnet C# on windows.

I have a mac OSX desktop version 10.6.8 and all of a sudden I can't get a full screen view in Safari when I ask for help the response is use the arrows on the top right of the screen ... I don't have them ... can anyone help?

I don't remember those arrows in 10.6, only 10.7 & up!?
I have 10.6.8, as you do. To make your Safari full screen, make sure you have the left hand side of your safari page moved all the way to the left. Then move your cursor to the BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER of the safari page, and simply drag your page towards the lower right hand corner of the screen. NOTE: you will see a series of lines on the bottom right corner of the page, indicating where to place you cursor arrow.

IPhoto 09 broke integration with Mac OSX desktop prefs, iTunes and iPod
Since upgrading to iPhoto 09, it appears that I cannot access iPhoto albums from either the Mac OSX desktop preferences, or sync them using iTunes to my iPod touch. I have tried recreating the photo library, restoring it, and recreating the xml index in the package etc. My old iPhoto library (before upgrade) works fine. Does anyone have a solution that works?
First use iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild the library as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be untouched for further attempts at fixing or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory .
If the resulting library doesn't work as it should try copying the Events from old library into the new one with iPhoto Library Manager. If that goes as intended go back and copy the Albums. That should create the albums without importing duplicates.
If you have Faces and Places already assigned then download the latest beta version of V3.5 which can be downloaded here and use it.
*You will need to purchase the application to use the copy and merge functions but it's the best iPhoto helper on the market.* -

The MBA is so small and thin many people can't help thinking it is like a Windows netbook - an underpowered toy. It isn't. There's nothing I do on my top end iMac that I can't - and don't - do on my MBA. Of course the iMac has a faster processor, bus speed, and a discrete video card so it is much faster than my MBA. Then again, my computers spend more time waiting for me to do something than I wait for them - and this includes using Photoshop and compiling code.
If I were writing large programs - something like Word for example - I'd want a very fast processor to speed up the compile/debug/compile cycle. But for iOS development your codebase will be much smaller. Frankly I can't see that much difference between a 13" MBA and a 13" MBP for development purposes. Now a top of the line 15" MBP is a different matter with its much faster CPU and separate video card. -
VXML SERVER COMMO LIBRARIES FOR CVP APPS DEVELOPMENT

I'm a CVP apps developer, and when I update an CVP application via de updateApp.bat the libraries load the java virtual memory and duplicate them.
after a few app updates the virtual memory get full and crush.
I red that the solution is making global the local libraries, son I put them into the C:\Cisco\CVP\VXMLServer\common\lib. and execute the common libraries update batch file.
When I run the CVP application I have an error, it says that there is no loading the common libraries application and it is not deployed.
so please can anyone help me with that????

Can I use macbook air for ios app development?
I would like to know if i can use macbook air for ios app development or macbook pro is only option?
Just to reinforce what shldr2thewheel says - be very sure what size memory you want if you get a Macbook Air. There is *no* way to change after purchase. My advice is to go for the 4GB option - especially if you want to do app development.
The internal storage (solid state drive) of the Air can be upgraded if required but it will probably be an expensive option. If you don't think the storage will be enough then maybe using a USB connected drive to hold non-essential files is an option.
As to deciding between the Air and Pro you are basically making a decision between portability (Air) and expandability/bigger screens (Pro). What is more important to you?

I installed windows 7 on my iMac 21.5 (late 2009) and when I boot windows 7, the lag drivers are missing and bootcamp is not installed. The windows package would not download through bootcamp, even when left alone for 2 hours. Don't have the lion disk... Drivers seem impossible to get. Please help!

Yes that's completely feasable.
Actually there is another way to install apps ad-hock that i was not aware of (this does not require the devices to be attatched to the Mac with the SDK and project, it can use any computer or distribute via your LAN:

I'm using a 16GB iPhone 4S, with the latest version of iOS 8.1.1. Whenever I go to the "Cellular" settings on the main settings page and turn OFF cellular data usage for native apps like mail, app store, contacts, photos etc , the moment I back out and come back in, all the native apps I turned cellular off for are back on again. Exact same question as ankit1986, specifically with the photos while on cellular-only, and as simple as it sounds, I tried the hard reboot Ingo2711 suggested. Still experiencing the same error with the native apps reverting to on. It's killing our shared data-plan (2GB).

Is mac mini 2010 good enough for iphone app development?
I'm planning to get a Mac Mini 2010, with 4GB of ram instead of the default basic 2GB. I'm getting it to do iphone app development. Is this computer going to be sufficient? Are there any caveats I should be aware of?

I got exactly that setup for exactly that purpose... even the 4GB upgrade Even without the ram upgrade it should still be fine for iPhone app development. I've not run into any problems with mine.
I got my ram upgrade because I want to run Windows inside MacOS using virtualization software - that kinda thing requires lots of ram.
You might want to wait two days though before you buy. Apple has an event on Wednesday (October 20th) and it looks like there will be a lot of focus on Mac, possibly some hardware upgrades and a new version of MacOS.

In a roaming network, your "main" router is the device that would require port mapping/forwarding to be configured in order to access the IP camera from the Internet. This router is also the one that would be provide the private IP address for the camera which you will want to be a static one.
So as you described your network, the IP cameras should be getting an IP address or you assigned it a static one and this is the address that you would enter in the Private IP address (or equivalent depending on the router used) field when setting up port mapping.
If you are not able to access this camera from the local network, then this should be troubleshot first. -

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

I installed Firefox sync and then used iphone app called FireFox Home and I can syncronize history, tabs and bookmarks. But I am NOT able to syncronize passwords from Firefox in my Macbook to FireFox Home on iPhone so I am very terrible to input my IDs and Passwords with my hands on FireFox Home when I log into Facebook, Twitter etc... Is it issue or something like that? If you have some solutions to make it clear, can you tell me how to syncronize memorized IDs and Passwords for the webs. Thank you.

Region Monitoring iOS 7 : didEnterRegion method is not calling when app is killed by user or by OS in iOS 7 only. It is working fine when it is in background. and the same code is working fine with iOS 6 for both app in suspended mode and background mode. What changes I have to made to work great in iOS 7 also.
