Help in PLD

Dear Experts,
Good Day.
In Sales Analysis report -> Items tab -> Secondary selection -> customer field select one BP -> Okay
In the Sales Analysis by Item (Annual) Report is good. But I need PLD for that report. In that, I was tried to add the feild of that corresponding customer too but its failure.
In the Sales Analysis by Item (Annual) report of PLD i need corresponding BP also.
Plz help me.

Hi,
Just edit same PLD and save with different name . e.g "Sales Analysis by Items BP".
I hope it will work...but yr logic for adding that field should be specify.

I Have designned a simple report in PLD which consist of two fields. The Customer Name and the Dates on which he is delivered goods. The Query base PLD By default shows the Report like:
Customer       Delivery Date
Crest              01/05/2007
Crest              05/08/2007
Crest              06/09/2007
What I want is that I want to show the name of the Customer only once (possibly somewhere in header and in repetative area only Delivery Dates would be shown). i.e. the report should be like:
Customer : Crest
Delivery Dates:
01/05/2007
05/08/2007
06/09/2007
How Can I do this plz help someone.....

Hi
Highlight the repetitive area. Print Layout Designer>Repetitive Area>Sort. Sort on Cust Code, tick Summary.
Print Layout Designer>Group>Group1. Now add a formula field in Repetitive Area -
SortValue().
Now your report will group on the Customer code (displayed in Repetitive Area (Header). Make the Customer Code field in Repetitive Area not visible)

URGENT please help on PLD

I am using SAP 2004 2B PL:40
I am facing a problem in using two repetitive areas in Sales A/R. am trying to seperate items according to their item codes , and am able to do that But the areas in print preview where irrelevant items are not appeared, am finding empty place there. I want two repetitive areas continuously without any empty space for irrelevant items
Pals help me in finding solution or give any link to the document on layout designing

I am using B1 version 2005B, when i open a default layout of Sale Order, i have seen it has "Sale Order _Row", but i create a new layout, i don't see "Sale Order _Row", Actually, i don't understand. Can you explain for me!

Try creating the new PLD by SAVING AS... the system Sales Order PLD. That way you COPY everything to the new layout and then just modify it to your needs.

Acer laptop and BT sim card

Help please.
I have recently got an Acer laptop with built in sim card slot in battery compartment. The modem is Ericsson and the laptop 3G enabled. If I put my BT PAYG sim in slot does not work. If a Voda or O2 sim put in slot it works and I get on the net. I have been told my BT sim is not 3G enabled !!!!!!. The BT PAYG sim works when it is the ZTE dongle. Why does the sim not work in the 3G slot in the Acer. Does BT provide a 3G sim. The Voda and O2 sims work in 3G phones but my BT PAYG sim does not work in these 3G phones. Any ideas. Have phoned various folk on BT help desks who are mystified by this laptop. "Never heard of a laptop with a sim slot". "Are you sure its not somat else" ?? I dispair. I am old, grey, wrinkled and wear glasses and its getting beyonb my ken. The wife says stick to slate and chalk. She who uses peat on open fires no less. !!!

Sorry to hear of the problems you are having.
Will need to ask for a little more information. Wondering if the issue is with the Sim is it a pay as you go Sim?
If so does it have credit? This could cause it to not work.
We can investigate just need to know a little bit more.

PLD Query Problems......Please help

Can any help me in gettig the idea of how the report(I mean how the report template is designed for the Query) is generated for the query generated through Quetry generator.
Can I add a field value of Query to Report header field in the report(other than in the Repeatitve Area)

We can get the UDT and UDF But i want to dislpay in

That? then if i choose QPLD i can retreive only some

If it is you should be able , but if it's not then I think you have to use other means.

I dont understand what you mean here , nut if you want to select the tax amounts on you documents select the field type as database type then select the marketing doc . you want and then select the field. e.g. ORDR - Sales Order then select the tax field or maybe the field you want can be pulled in as a variable. activate your system information under tools and move your mouse to the field you want to display and note the variable number at the bottom then put it on the variable value field in your pld.

I found the following steps to recover a deleted library. Not sure who the author is but it worked for me.
Start with the iPod disconnected from the computer - DON'T CONNECT IPOD YET
- open iTunes
- open iTunes Preferences - this blocks iTunes from seeing an iPod connection; leave the preferences window up and running
- connect the iPod to the computer, wait about 15 seconds before continuing
- open 'My Computer'
- Tools menu, Folder Options, View tab, enable 'show hidden files /folders'
- open iPod icon in My Computer
- open iPod_Control folder
- you should see a folder named Music
- drag this folder to somewhere on your computer hard drive
- after the copy completes, right-click the new Music folder on your hard drive and select 'Properties'
- clear the checkmark next to 'Hidden'
- Close that explorer window
- eject iPod from System tray "Safely Remove Hardware" icon. This icon looks like a small gray rectangle with a green arrow floating above it. It's only there when a removable device (like the iPod in this case) is attached to the computer. Right-click & select 'Safely remove..', then click 'Stop' in the next window, OK in the next window, and then Close to complete the ejection.
- disconnect the iPod from the computer
- go back to iTunes, cancel the preferences window
- File menu \ Add folder to Library \ find that Music folder copied over from the iPod
Your iTunes library should be back in action! But wait - there's more!!

Outputting values in PLD

I am trying to change the PLD layout of the default Tax Report in SBO so it meets the spanish standards. My problem is extracting the values i require to specific fields in the layout - as the default layout considers it as a default. I am certain that I have to use an IF statement here (something that doesn't exist in the PLD) and have tried working around it and been unsucessful. I hope some may be able to help me extract these values from the one variable.

if A = B then C else D
1). Create a field which displays A (say field ID is 50)
2). Create a field which displays B (say field Id is 51)
3). Create a formula field which equals fields 50 and 51 (say field Id is 52)
4). Create a field which displays C (say field id 53) and link it to field with ID 52 so that if field 50 is equal to field 51 then field 53 will be displayed
5). Create a formula field with formula 'fields 50 not equal to field 51' (say field Id is 54)
6). Create a field which displays D (say field id 55) and link it to field with ID 54 so that if field 50 is not equal to field 51 then field 55 will be displayed

In order to display the contents of text (type) of an A/p Invoice, you need to add an database field
in the template of invoice as below
Content Tab
Source Type: Database
Table: A/P Invoice - Rows
Column: Text

Delete empty space in PLD footer

Hello,
In my report done with PLD I have the following need:
For example the footer contains 3 fields :
If the 3 fields contains data, it's displayed like this:
Total A
Total B
Total C
If the field Total B doesn't contain any data, it's displayed like this:
Total A
Total C
My objective is to avoid the empty space between the 2 fields Total A and Total C when the field Total B is empty.
I already tried to tick "delete null values" and "adjust to the cell hight" but the space is still here!
I already tried the solutions given in the other threads but it doesn't work (maybe because in the threads they talk about repetitive area, which is not my case: i work with the footer).

I am sure that the above solution is not possible instead of printing in vertical line you can print the details in horizontal line like this
TOTAL A: Some infor..... TOTAL B: Some information Total C Some information
This is the solution that i have gave to the clients....

Variables in aging report for PLD

Hi,
I am looking to find a list of the variables for a PLD aging report in SAP 8.8, the Excel I found doesn't list report starting with the code AGE...... In fact I am looking for the variable for the project number and the project name. The system information shows variable 41 but when I run the report I get an error.

Hi,
Welcome you post on the forum. I believe there is only one excel file for PLD available for a certain version.
If the variable is not in this file, you will be out of luck.
The system variable showed under system info is not the same as in the PLD.

A/R Invoice PLD

Hi Everyone,
On the A/R Invoice PLD I created, I am showing both the Item No. and the Customer/Vendor Catalog No. I selected both fields from teh A/R Invoice - Rows table. However, on one of my invoices teh Customer/Vendor Catalog No. is not coming through for certain items. There are 12 items on the invoice and three of them do not have the vendor catalog number. I verified there is a catalog number setup in Business Partner Catalog Numbers.
Does anybody know why it might not be coming through for some items? Like I mentioned, there are BP catalog numbers set up for the item numbers in question, so I'm at a loss.

Since you say this is happening on only one of your invoices, you would need to explore more on the specific items and see if the same behaviour is repeated with other BP's?
If the PLD works for most Invoices then there could be nothing really wrong with the template.
Yes, Press the Alt key and click on the Table selection drop down. If you are trying this on a field which is already set to a table it might not work.
So, please change the field to a Free Text....then change it back to a Database Field and then Hold the Alt Key and click the drop down

A/R invoice+payment and A/R invoice PLD reports

We are using PLD to generate our reports. Our A/R Invoice+payment report is different from our AR invoice. We have designed to report formats for this in PLD. However, PLD allows to preview only one report that has been made default. Is there an option that we can use to select the type of report to print especially for these reports?

I don't think there is any alternative way beside selecting PLD everytime you print the layout .
I believe it is done by same person (both A/R+ payment and A/R invoice )
If not you can do :
1. make your PLD default by user or
2. In most cases ,only few customer pays right away , you can set PLD default by Business partner or customer who does that

Text type to PLD report ??

Anyone know how to bring the information from the row text detail from the form to the PLD report? Cannot find the help anywhere.
For example,
I open the new Sale order and create as the following..

When I print, it has shown

(blank)
Item3
(blank)
Item4
I don't know why it did not show up and it's blank.. plz let me know if you have any idea to help.

Hi,
You must add a DB type field in your PLD to retrieve the Text row.
Just follow these steps:
1. Add DB field into repetitive area of PLD
2. Select the new field
3. In the Field Properties form, select the Content tab
4. Source Type: Database (should already be selected)
5. Table: AR Invoices - Rows
6. Column: Text - Text
Save PLD and try it.
