Help install photoshop CS6 adobe application manager

I'm trying to install CS6 via the application manager. It downloads a file and then hangs at waiting to install. I've tried everything I can think of disabling virus scanner. I have CS5 installed could that be conflicting with the new software? Any ideas or help would be appreciated!!!

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and try again. Clean out all apps and reinstall them when needed. You could be seeing a conflict with some shared components or an update having introduced some incompatible data.

    Hi,
The adobe application manager isn't for opening photoshop after it's installed on your system.
The application manager is for updates and downloading/installing the programs to your computer.
Have you installed photoshop and are trying to run the photoshop program/application?
What operating system are you using?

  • CS6 Adobe Application Manager Conflict

I tried to update Photoshop CS6, but it says I am running Adobe Application Manager and have to close it before I can get the updates. I don't see the application manager running anywhere. Where do I find it so I can shut it down?

I'm using Win 7, 64 bit. I finally just went to the task bar at the bottom and "Quit" the Adobe Application Manager". I could then download the update and install it. But this is ridiculous. It sounds counter-intuitive. The application manager would seem to have to be running in order to "manage" updates and downloads.

  • W7 x64 CS6 Adobe Application Manager lost Applications

On my systems (desktop + laptop) I have installed the CS6 Suites. Well known, that there are no functionality updates for CS6 no longer, but I would like to get the updates for Camera Raw …… The situation is, on the laptop the Adobe Application Manager works fine, but on the desktop I have an empty list of application and therefore no updates. How can I manage this?

I came across your post but I'm using a Mac. I had the same errors but decided to try out PS CS6 and found it was already updated. I rebooted and the errors disappeared. (My Adobe Update Manager works with both CC and CS6.) If you've already tried verifying update and rebooting, perhaps this thread (link) will help?

Please go to Utilities> Adobe Installers. you will have Photoshop cs6 Uninstaller listed there . kindly uninstall the product from there and then relaunch Adobe Application Manager . that should provide you the option to install Photoshop CS6.

  • Latest Creative Cloud install stopped by Adobe Application Manager. Error message 82 says to close AAM. I don't know how to do that.

While trying to download the latest issue of Creative Cloud Error message 82 says Adobe Application Manager has to be closed first, which I can't figure out to do. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks. Rich

Thanks. I finally went to helpx.adobe.com and has a Chat with someone probably in subcontinental India. He had me go to the Activity Monitor and shut down a bunch of activities, after which the CC install worked. Now the log in screen asks for a redemption code, which I never got. Guess I'll have to return to India to get that done.

  • Help with updating and Adobe Application Manager (Max OS X)

    Hi,
I am a resent new customer of the cloud (student and teachers) service. I have started encounter some minor but kind of annoying technical problems. Before I registered for a cloud account I was running the Adobe Master Collection (trial) version on my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.8.2). I successfully completed the registration to cloud and began to download and updated the app's. It went fine, until I came across a small little problem with Premier Pro. I was trying to import a few *.MOV files for a uni video that I have to do over Xmas.
Instead of spending time trying to figure out the problem I decide to uninstall and download/install all of the app on the my cloud hub, just incase it was something to so with my pervious installations. I couldn't directly re-download the apps via the cloud hub, so I had to re-download another trial version. However, now I can not get the Adobe Application Manager to work, I keep saying "Download Error, Please try again" I have tried it load of time, but keep getting the same message.
    Please Help,
    Damien

Moshpit84 did you utilize the uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers to remove your installation of Premiere Pro?  Also what version of the Adobe Application Manager are you currently using?

  • When I install CC, only Adobe Application Manager opens?

When I try to install Adobe Creative Cloud, only Adobe Application Manager starts running. The actual CC-panel (like this: https://helpx.adobe.com/no/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-desktop/_jcr_content/main-pa rs/procedure/proc_par/step_0/s…) does not appear. Could anyone help me?

    StineKJell,
For Mac OS 10.6.8 Snow leopard, Creative Cloud desktop Application is not compatible. It is compatible with Mac 10.7 and above.
10.6.8 works with Adobe Application Manager only. That is the reason, irrespective of how many times you try to install Creative Cloud, it will install Adobe Application manager.
See this help link: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html#System requirements

  • Re-Installing Illustrator from Adobe Applications Manager

I installed the Adobe Applications Manager the first time a couple of months ago. I then installed all the applications from the manager and everything was fine. But then I uninstalled them thinking I was going to put them onto another drive but decided not to. So when I went to re-install them the update Applications Manager was wanting to be updated so I updated. I then started to re-install all my programs again and everything was fine except the Illustrator application. Every time I tried to get onto it it would give me an error message and a code and not open. I thought that something must not have downloaded right so I uninstalled it again and re-installed it and it is still giving me the error message.

I don't remember the error message. But I think I know why it didn't download right. The new Adobe Applications Manager update wasn't the one I downloaded from it was the old one that I downloaded from so I am now trying to re-install it again using the new updated version. I'll let you know how it turns out....

  • Trying to simplify future clean installs of OS X Can I install Photoshop CS6 in ~/Applications on separate volume?

I prefer to do clean installs of each new OS X version (and I am aware of the debate whether that is necessary or not; it's just something I prefer to do).
To simplify this, I have been thinking of partitioning my Macbook's SSD into two volumes, one smaller for OS X and one larger for my user folder. The user volume would hold the usual stuff like images, music, document and settings, plus any software I install myself.
I use "Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Student and Teacher Edition". I am now wondering if, were I to point the CS6 installer to the Applications subfolder in my user folder, everything will be placed there or will the installer place files also on the OS X volume? If the former is true, then I should be able to wipe the OS X volume as necessary to do a fresh install, but if the latter is the case, then I would break the CS6 installation when I wipe the OS X volume.
If the above doesn't work, are there any other ways to install CS6 to simplify future clean installs of OS X?
Sorry for the newbie questions and many thanks in advance for your help
    Philip

Many of the Adobe Creative applications now have the ability to sync your settings through your account.  I would recommend inquiring more regarding the syncing of settings in the respective forums for those applications.  You can find a list of available forums at https://forums.adobe.com/welcome.  I would also recommend reviewing the following documents:

  • Downloading Photoshop CS6 using Application Manager

I have just purchased CS6 Cloud and successfully downloaded the Application Manager. I am now attempting to download just Photoshop CS6 but it has stopped at 48%. This is the second attempt where it has stopped at exactly the same point. I have iMAC 10.7 and mobile broad band which peaked at 3-4Mb/sec. What size is the download file? I left it overnight but now the comms are zero. I would rather get advise before re-starting.

The file size of Photoshop CS6 is approximately 960 MB.
Did you refer to http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-update-issues-cs5-cs5.html and http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-creative-cloud-installation-download .html and try troubleshooting the application manager?

  • Im trying to install photoshop but the application manager says its up to date. What does it mean?

Ive just bought a year subscription to creative cloud so that I could use photoshop for editing. When I try to down load the software it says its up to date but there is currently no photoshop on my computer.
I did use the free trial some time ago but I since removed it. How do I reinstall photoshop?

Mac or Win? How did you remove the previously installed Photoshop trial? Did you use the uninstaller, or did you just drag it to Trash?
The Application Manager finds signs that Ps is already installed on your machine. Do you have any other Adobe creative software installed as well?
I think that it might be best to remove all traces of and then attempt a fresh reinstall. Use http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html to clean up your system and reinstal the software.

  • Need help installing Photoshop CS6 trial on MacBook Pro

I keep trying to install the trial version of Photoshop CS6 on my macbook pro (version 10.6.8) and I was able to download it fine from the download assistant. Once I tried installing it, however I kept coming up with the same error. First it says that the images couldn't be opened because of an invalid checksum, then if I opt to skip that step it comes up with a window letting me install it which I do but once it hits 44% it jumps to 99% and says installation failed due to an inauthentic certificate, saying "Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure."
    How do I fix this???

Sounds like your download got corrupted.  You can try downloading it again.
