Help install win xp for lenovo G480

lenovo G480 laptop asked me how to install win xp.
few days before his win xp (Sp3) with raster image BootCD 10.4 to boot Windows Xp computer to automatically shut down and restart the installation was not.
I also try to install win xp (sp2) after finishing the blinds BootCD 10.4 and the win xp setup to be as esay driver update driver with the membrane off the back

Using a W520 to install Win 7 for a T400.... insane or doable?

One week later install the SSD in a T400, at which point I will activate the install of win 7
I'm not running UEFI on the W520, of course.
I have no experience trying this. Would it even boot in the T400? Maybe it would, but windows wouldn't run correctly or optimally? I have no idea. I'm much more experienced with Linux, where this kind of thing is typically no problem.
I want to do this because I will have only a limited time with the T400, whereas I have much more time with my W520. I'd prefer to have everything as ready to go as possibe. For instance the Internet here in Tajikistan is often rather slow and it would be nice to download the hundreds of MB of post SP1 updates over the course of a few days.

Hi and welcome to the forum R-707!
*60 series never came with camera, lenovo started camera option with *61 series, what this means is that your system doesn't have integrated camera...

HELP!!! on Lenovo G480 Model Name: 20156

Hi Good day!
Newbie here.
I just bought my new laptop Lenovo G480 with pre-installed operating system of Windows 7 starter.
Now, I upgrade my windows 7 starter to windows 7 home premium and not doing the clean install.
What happen is i use the windows upgrade anytime, copy the product key that i saw in the web and paste it to the upgrade anytime. The product key that i copied failed. So what I did is, I restart it, and when it boot up the windows is already upgrading to windows 7 home premium. After the setup, I copied the activation key for the product key that I copied and windows upgrade anytime accepted it. Now my windows 7 home premium says is it is activated and genuine.
Take note that I disabled the automatic update, as I'm afraid that microsoft might detect that my windows is not genuine.
Before i did the upgrade, i made a backup system with the use of onekey rescue system and save the backup to my built-in hard disk drive.
Now that I'm in win7 home premium, if I press the onekey rescue system button, will I get back to my previous os which is win7 starter without activating it? because I also don't have activation key for it, as i bought the laptop with pre-installed os.
Can you guys please advise me what to do?
I am really scared right now, I know I'm stupid and I don't want to waste my money because of what I've done.

I'm sorry I used the one key recovery to backup my system and saved it to my built-in hard disk drive.

Try uninstalling then run the Adobe Cleaner Tool

Then double click the .exe file again.
What do I do with the .7z file?
Nothing. That's is an archive of files used by the .exe file during the installation process.

How to install Win 7 on Lenovo V570 with Freedos

Hello
I just got a new lenove V570 with Freedos and would like to install Windows 7 professional.
When I try to install Windows 7 64 bit, I get the error: The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks?.
It is really frustrating. Does anybody have an idea how to solve this problem please?

@yigit, thank you for your fast response and the hints!
Now I have managed to install Windows 7 pro.
Attached the steps (as I can remember) that worked for me (without any warranty)
1.) Boot with MS Windows 7 installation CD
2.) Select country, keyboard settings etc.
3.) Accept license agreement
4.) Press proceed until the dialog with the installation volume appears (This is the place as MS Windows tells you: The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks...
5.) Delete volumes but not the one of lenovo!
6.) Press SHIFT + F10
7.) Enter diskpart (This is the MS-Windows partition tool - diskpart.efi
8.) Enter List => Now you will see the disks. In my case Disk 0 was the one
9.) Enter SELECT Disk 0
10.) Enter List => Now you will see the partitions
11.) Enter Delete Partition x (x is the partition with the MBR)
12.) Enter create partition (Now a dialog should appear asking you how much space you want to reserve for your partition
13.) E.g.. Enter 200 (200 GB
14.) Enter List partition (Now you should see the new Partition)
15.) enter Exit two times (Once for exiting diskpart, the other for coming back to the installation screen
16.) Proceed with you windows installation by selecting the new partition for your system
Selecting the right partition it was not necessary to delete the pre-installed data from lenovo!
I think this procedure should also work with a raw disk.

Help installing sata drivers for 870-G45

I just noticed Windows 7 64-bit lists my internal sata ii drive as ata in the device manager and also won't autodetect my e-sata usb drive when I connect it. I read that I need an AHCI driver. I have a 870-G45 mobo with AMD RX780 Northbridge and SB710 Southbridge.
So I went to the msi drivers page at http://www.msi.com/product/mb/870-G45.html#/?div=Driver&os=Win7%2064 and downloaded the driver package:
ATI System Drivers for 7xx/8xx/SB7xx/SB8xx Series (except RS690, 740).
When I unzip the downloaded file "ati_system_drive_mb.zip" I get a directory called "AMD" and inside is a program called "Setup.exe"
When I run Setup.exe it wants to install a program called "Catalyst". Is this correct? It says something about managing graphics but I don't have an AMD video card.
Do I have to run Catalyst? I can see some drivers in the folder AMD->Packages->Drivers->SBDrv->SB7xx->AHCI->W764A listed as:
amd_sata.inf
amd_sata.sys
amd_xata.sys
amd_sata.msi
Can I just install these somehow?

ok, I can explain this better.
I have an internal sata ii drive and an external esata.
Both work but for the external drive when I turn it on I have to go to 'Disk Management" and rescan drives for win7 to pick it up.
Here is my Device Manager:
See both my drives show as ATA even though they are SATA. And I have only IDE controllers listed no SATA controller.
I am trying to get the system to recognize the drives as SATA and use the SATA controller to get better performance.
Also I am trying to install AHCI so that my external drive can be auto recognized.
The only thing in my BIOS regarding AHCI is under "Integrated Peripherals->On-Chip ATA Devices->RAID Mode->AHCI
I assume it needs to be set to AHCI.

Need help installing Control panel for Creative Roar speaker!!!

I am trying to download the control panel to my Windows XP PC, or my Windows 8 laptop but when I download the try to install the control panel both my PC & laptop says, Setup unable to detect a supported product on your system. What does that mean?

You need to press and hold the PLAY button to activate the sound card feature. You may refer to this article for more information.
You can also do the following if your PC is still unable to detect the speaker as a USB audio device:
1. Ensure you use the supplied USB cable. It is able to handle both power and data.
2. Power cycle the speaker (turn off and then turn it on)
3. Connect the speaker to another USB port and try again.
4. Do not use any USB hub; ensure the speakers is connected directly to your PC
5. Try to connect the speakers to another computer and then try again.
If the speaker is still not detected as a USB audio device, perform the following:
1. Hardware reset: In any state, press and hold the Power button for more than 10 seconds, and then press the Power button again to turn the speakers on.
2. Master reset: While the speaker is in pairing mode, press and hold the Multifunction and Volume down (-) button together until a voice prompt is heard that 'master reset' is completed.

Howdy all! My question is in regards to the download and installation of internet drivers for a 2011 MacBook Pro running Lion. The wi-fi airport works and recognizes available networks, but I am unable to connect to the internet.
Are there any particular sites you might recommend to download internet drivers for this model and OS?

are you also unable to connect to the internet by trying your MacBook Pro at a different site, say, somewhere that offers free wi-fi? Do you have access to a different computer, to see if that different computer would be able to connect to the internet by using the wi-fi that you have at home? It sounds as though you haven’t yet determined where the cause lies yet, whether it’s with your MacBook Pro, your router, or your internet service provider.

Hard problem with audio device installing for Lenovo G430 t6600

as I read about this problem from many messages in this forum, I have the same problem when install audio device for Lenovo G430. I want to write this message and hope that someone can help and show me the detail way to fix this problem and this is also to help others customers of Lenovo.
Sure that I did all the ways that messages in this forum showed to fix:
First, I downloaded hotfix - patch and Conexant Smart audio drive files which suitable with my model-type of laptop (G430, use win XP SP2), these files I downloaded from Lenovo website.
Then I uninstall all audio devices from my Laptop
install Hotfix first, and then, I install Conexant Smart audio
But, in the end I received the message: could not find the media device...blap blap and of course, my laptop keep...have no any sound
If Lenovo G430 support for Win Vistra, why my Laptop had a normal situation (all drives were installed, and the sound was good) when I bought it and the laptop run Win XP SP2. I had this problem when I re-install sound drive from the drive disk the supplier deliver to me, after this, my laptop have no sound any more!!.
So, please, if someone (and maybe the supporter-computer technician from Lenovo) can help me and other customers(who have this problem) to solve and fix with a detail way, we will say many thanks. This problem made me feel Lenovo is a hard laptop to use.

Lenovo G480 lcd darker on right side.

Some days ago my laptop's screen got a bit darker on right side.
Now its more dark & it looks like different. Its pixels also show different colour. On an external monitor gives a perfect picture. But LCD has problem.
Please help..!!
Lenovo G480 and graphic adapter is of Nvidia.

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
If you boot into the BIOS (F2) and you still see that one side of the LCD is darker than usual then your conclusion about the LCD being the problem is correct as the backlight on that corner is most likely malfunctioning.
If the unit's still under warranty, I recommend that you contact lenovo and report the issue. Otherwise, you may need to replace the entire LED screen.
