HELP! Installed new itunes/can't open Istore

HELP!
I just downloaded the new itunes 8.2 and now am unable to open the itunes store. We do not have McAfee or Norton as far as I can tell. I can still get on the internet and the IStore was working before I installed the new itunes. I have tried all the suggestions from apple and itunes, including clearing DNS cache, turning off firewall, shutting entire system down, and uninstalling itunes and re-installing it. I still get the following message:"I- tunes could not connect to the I tunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again." My internet is working fine, so the connection is being made. I ran the diagnostics test and the report said the following:

Your signature shows that you have an HP computer. Many new computers come pre-installed with Norton (including HP), so it may actually be on you computer, even if you have never activated it the Norton could be blocking access to the store.
