Help installing CS5 Bridge UPDATE
Since apparently NO one wants to help, i just need to know what to do with the zip file I just downloaded to update the bridge for CS5? Thats it!
Thanks
I have no idea what zip file you mean, but if where you acquired the file did not provide an explanation of what to do, what you could do is unzip the file and see what's in it. If there happpens to be an executable file in it, then that might be what you need to make use of.

I have CS5 installed and Bridge tries to update. It stops and tells me to close the bridge exe file - only bridge isn't open, and hasn't been. How do I fix this?
You may have Bridge set to load at log-on in which case it will be running but hidden.
Look in Task Manager under the Processes tab where you will find it. End the process and next time uncheck the startup box in Bridge preferences. -
Need help installing CS5 on my Macbook Air i5 with Lion OS?
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am trying to install CS5 on my new i5 macbook air which runs lion. When I connect my external hard drive to install the disc the disc does not even show up on the desktop. I know the drive is fine because I tested it with another disk and the icon show up fine for installation. Not sure what is going on but, guessing it is a conflict with lion. Please help?
thanks

I think you would have better luck with an external DVD player/recorder. Have you tried dragging the file from the external hard drive to your desktop and then installing? -
My computer died a couple of weeks ago and I'm installing CS5 on my new computer. Disk 1 installed fine. Disk 2 (content) won't install. My computer just wants to copy. Help!
I see this is due to your autoplay settings. If go to Start>Computer and right click on the disc you should be able to choose the option to open. Once the disc is opened you can explore the disc at your leisure.
What CS5 software exactly are you installing? Have you checked to see if it might already be installed after you ran through the setup on disc one? -

How can I install CS5.5 updates after error code U44M1I210?
When I attempt to update CS5.5 I get a message saying that several updates were unable to be installed. Error code U44M1I210 is given. I've unistalled all of CS5.5, reinstalled CS5.5, and tried to install the updates again, but with no success. How can I get the updates to be installed?
I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8.
Thanks in advance,

Hi
There is an online aticle which i was able to locate
http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1i210-installing-up dates-ccm.html
Thanks
Thank you. I've followed the advice in that article, have sent a package to Adobe for them to analyze, and am awaiting a response. -
Had a trial of InCopy CS6, but design team said to buy CS5.5 as it is more stable. Have uninstalled CS6, now want to install and buy CS5.5, but I can't install it. It says something to the effect that I have to go through an authorized dealer, but I'm trying to do it on the Adobe website. Don't know what else to do.
CS5.5 can not be purchased from Adobe any more as we have progressed from CS5.5 to CS6 then now to Creative Cloud. You need to contact reseller to check if they can help you.

Help installing CS5 upgrade on a new PC please
I have a new PC running Windows 7 x64 Pro and want to transfer CS5 from my old machine. This was installed using CS5 upgrade, my previous version being CS2 upgrade and before that I was using a full copy of PS6. I still have all the discs and licences. Should I install again starting from PS6, then CS2 upgrade, then CS5 upgrade? Does anyone know if Windows 7 x64 will install the now-ancient PS6? Or is there another way? I want to get it right first time, having suffered a corrupted identity on my old XP machine, which I never managed to fix.
Thanks.Hi, You don't have to install all the previous versions.
You just have to install CS 5 and then you will be prompted for serial number for the same and then it will ask the serial number for the previous version (CS2)
You should be able to then install successfully. -
Help installing 6.1 update
I have elements amd premiere elements 8 on reading the install instructions for the update I am a bit unsure about the folowing . It says remove the exsisting plug in Which one? I have 5 8BI's. also do I do the install first then swap the plugins .. Do I have to this with both premiere elements and elements
The PSE-version of the Camera_Raw_6_1.zip contains three files:
Camera RAW.8bi
CameraProfiles.EXE
Win64\Camera RAW.8bi
I'm not sure sure, but from the error message you're getting, it sounds like you may have extracted the entire ZIP into the plugins folder. What you should have done is extracted the Camera RAW.8bi and placed it in the PSE-specific location, as well as the PRE-specific location. If you extracted the entire zip in there, then just go deleted the Win64\Camera RAW.8bi from the Plugins folder.
Then you could also have run the CameraProfiles.exe to get any new camera profiles if the camera you're working with is relatively new. If you also extracted this into the Plugins folder, you can delete it, too.
The Win64\Camera RAW.8bi is used by Photoshop 64-bit and is not needed by PSE and should not reside in the plugins folder for PSE. -

CS5 Bridge thumbs and previews do not color match ACR or Photoshop
In newly installed CS5 Bridge (part of Suite), thumbnails and previews are not reflecting the color adjustments in ACR or of the image in Photoshop itself. High Quality is still default as is writing cache to folders. I don't see the old cache files in the folders either. CS4 did not exhibit this issue for me. Upon opening a folder, or after purging cache, thumbs are initially displayed with saturated color, but only for a second or 2 until they are redrawn. Other applications that I have been working with for years and use the image previews are not displaying properly now that I have CS5. What's going on here? It appears that I am looking at only the imbedded previews!
Narrowing it
down...I am working with a MacBookPro, using 2 monitors,
There have been more issues with two monitors but I can't recall them
exactly at this moment.
A few things that come to my mind, first check the Camera Raw preferences
and double check if the option Apply Autotone Adjustment is NOT checked.
There have also been issues with Open GL and 2 monitors but that should
effect the images in PS and not Bridge I would believe. Also see what your
main monitor is in the OS monitor preferences and try what happens if you
change that order. -

I've been trying to install the CS5 for a couple of week now but cannot get it to install. I've tried lots of things I've seen in the forums but I still cannot get it to install. I'd appreciate it if someone could offer some help and direction to step me through the possible issues. I've tried uninstalling, using the cs5 cleanup utility, changing permissions on the entire Adobe folder, completely uninstalling any Adobe product, deleting all reference folders, running as administrator, etc etc but nothing works. I've turned off firewall and antivirus, closed all applications including start-up items, and still nothing.
I'll start again and list my issues and perhaps someone can help..

Can anyone help please..?Try this microsoft solution, it worked for me on Vista with SP2, 32 bit. Even though you have a 64bit system, I think this solution might well work. I spent 9 days with Adobe trying to install $1,700 software, and still they haven't given me a solution. Opened Microsoft tech support case today, and everything is now installed, CS5 and Acrobat 9 professional. Installed Acrobat 9 the same was as CS5, and installed it using the new Admintrator account.
Here is a summary from Microsoft of what the did to fix the issue: Good luck!
