hi luka tatarashvili,
Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
To clean install Windows 8.1 from a bootable USB installer,  you just need to hit F12 (while on the Lenovo splash screen) and select the USB flashdrive on the boot device list. From there, just follow the screen prompts and you should be able to install Windows 8.1, like you installed Windows 7.
Alternatively, you can create the Windows 8.1 USB installer via the Windows 8.1 Upgrade Assistant. After creating the USB installer, close the upgrade assistant and run it again but this time, hit Install Now. You will then be able to install WIndows 8.1 inside Windows 7 without booting from the USB flashdrive that you created.

    Hello,
Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.
Your computer comes with Win 8 pre-installed but one of the steps to install/run Windows 8.1 is having updated drivers for Windows 8.1
Please, go to Control Panel -> System (or Start -> type winver and open) and verify what is your current version - if it is Windows 8 or 8.1
    Windows 8 is version  6.2.x
    Windows 8.1 is version  6.3.x
If Windows 8 in place, then , please read this article and enroll in the steps:

Did anyone try Windows 8 on a Mac ? Which one is more reliable and compatible ?
    Windows 7
Windows 8 is only beta, but can be run in VirtualBox
Only Windows 7 is supported by Apple in Bootcamp at this time, however you can install Windows 8 Beta into virtual machine software.

  • [HELP] Installing Windows 7 on MBP by USB using Boot Camp

    Hello!

I tryed to install by USB but when Im about to restart and boot try to boot the windows that I installed on the USB it says: 'No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key'
I have read that Apple changed in boot camp that if you have a DVD you cant use USB function to boot from in USB. I have fixed this problem by using this method from a video in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_587318&feature=iv&src_vid= I3MNnbtfyzs&v=KmHxkahbK-g
But after I changed this I stil get problem when I boot that my laptop dont recognize the USB.
I need a help to solve this problem. Im using a MacBook Pro 13 (late 2011) OS X 10.8.5

I dont have the opportunities to repair my internal optical drive. Im looking for other solutions for this problem, there I can install the windows without the optical drive.

  • Need help installing windows 7 on my Imac using bootcamp

Hi everyone so I just got a new mac and I gotta say not very tech smart when it comes to apple products but Ive been trying to install windows 7 using bootcamp now just making it clear that I am using a ledgitimate legal windows cd and not a copy. I dowloaded the necessary updates to a cd i took every step that i needed that i found and when it came to installing the software on my mac after i insert the disc it will start reading and make a sound like its reading the disc but then would stop after a few seconds and the i get a message to insert a windows disc and wait till its recognized to install. Ive done that waited till it was recognized and clicked install and same thing happens ive tried 3 different microsoft corp windows programs and its the same thing with all of them. I did put different cds music and movies and it read them quick and played them without a problem seems like its only the windows discs. Please help any solutions references and suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

i thought about the same thing so i had restored my mac to factory settings did all the updates and tried again however when i dowloaded the software for windows and put it in a cd for me it never said partition y always said install so i would click it but as my comment above it would read the disc for a few seconds and stop all together and not install the software.

  • Help installing Windows 7RC

I am hoping that someone here can help me. I am trying to install Windows 7RC, but ran in a road block.
    I have a late 2007 MacBook with 2gig ram.
When I try to start up the computer with the Windows 7RC (just downloaded from MS) I get following on my screen, and seems locked up. :
    1.
    2.
Select boot CD-ROM (something like that. I would have to try to boot from the CD to get the exact thing it says. Sorry I forgot. )
Oh and I have XP Pro installed and want to do a clean install with Windows 7RC.
    -Locutus

Well that's not fair! ;( LOL All these people get to use the 64 bit. I figured as much, I started downloading the 32 bit version around 4pm (est) should be done soon.. LOL I have a slow connection.
I installed it in Parallels and I wasn't impressed with it. Parallels was slow and no sound.
Thanks for the info. Maybe I can look into moding the DVD sometime. :/

  • Need help installing Windows

I just ran the Boot Camp Assistant and made a partition for Windows. The screen then grayed over and it said to hold down the power button for several seconds to restart the computer. I did that, it shut down and I booted it up again a few seconds later.
When Leopard came back up nothing happened, so I opened up Boot Camp Assistant again, like it says to in the instructions. The problem I'm running into is that now I can't seem to install Windows because the options that the instructions say should be there aren't there. Boot Camp Assistant looks just like it did before I partitioned anything, except now it says there is less hard drive space available (the total space is still the same). There is no option to install Windows, select an existing partition, or even remove the partition I already made. All it will let me do is choose to make another partition.
I'm really not sure what to do, and the instructions aren't useful right now since what they say should be there is not there. What should I do? Any help is greatly appreciated, as I'm at a total loss.

I'm using Windows XP Professional with SP2.
I just tried it a third time with the Windows CD in the drive. The exact same thing happened again and once again rather than creating a partition it just gave me 40gb of additional used-up space. Used-up for what, I have no idea.
The problem seems to be that Boot Camp is not successfully creating the partition, I guess. I never get a new button. It says partitioning for a while, then the screen slowly grays over from top to bottom and a black box pops up that says I need to restart my computer, and to do so by holding down the power button for several seconds or pushing the restart button. Without a restart button, that only leaves me with one option, and doing a hard shutdown like that seems to be causing a problem. When OS X comes back up nothing happens, and if I start up Boot Camp it just wants to create a partition again.
This is so incredibly frustrating... Thanks for all the help so far though.

I think you should place one memory module in the first green and the second in the first purple
    aka' dual channel .
Then set the vdimm voltage in bios manually to 2.75volt , leaving it on auto might undervolt the memory modules
as auto use jedec SSTL spesification voltage and is not neccesarily the memory vendors recommendation for your modules.
2.75 volt is right in the middle for all types of dram modules (not to high and not to low) and should be great for most .
Also set timings manually to cas-rcd-trp-tras 3-3-3-8 and memory clock index to 200.

  • Need Help Installing Windows 7 64-bit on new 2010 MBP

I just bought a new 2010 Macbook Pro and love it, but Windows is giving me headaches.
I am trying to install Windows 7 Professional x64. I downloaded the installation iso from MSDN, burned it to a disk, and successfully booted from the disk. However, when it starts actual installation, I get this error: "a required CD/DVD device driver is missing". It asks me to find the driver, and won't let me continue with installation. Any ideas?
    Some things on my mind:
    - Maybe I actually need a driver? Where can I find it?
    - Maybe my CD drive is faulty?
    - Can I do a bootable USB drive?

never mind, my iso file was corrupted

www.Nliteos.com great program copy your windows CD to a Directory then run Nlite select different options you want, like slipstream service packs and hotfixes, drivers, tweaks, remove stuff from install like MSN, outlook express, do a true unattended intsall (input your key and all that) its pretty powerful then put in a blank CD and hit burn and out spits a new XP disc thats custom for you.
i dont recommend putting ALL your drivers IE video card, sound and all that just the basics then use the proper installers for the big drivers.
check out the forums on the site lots of great info

  • I need help installing Windows.

I am trying to install windows XP on my Imac and when I go to make a partition it's converts it to FAT32 but I'm trying to install 32 GB on Windows then, I tried erasing the partition and making a new one with the NTFS file format but I get an error message saving that a file is corrupted or missing. I also tried installing only 31 GB with the FAT32 format and that didn't work either. So far, it hasn't worked with FAT32 or NTFS. What should I do?

Bootcamp from mac osx essentially just copies the drivers over to the partition after splitting the partition. Sounds like you are trying to format the disc inside osx, which has never worked for me personally.
If your partition is already seperated, insert your xp disc and boot from it (hold option on reboot). delete the partition you had set aside for windows, reformat and install windows. Once windows is installed insert apple disc and install the drivers. At least this is how I do it, as copying the drivers over in leopard has never worked without producing errors for me. Note you can then choose the format you wish to use, fat32 or ntfs (altho I prefer fat for copying files over from osx).

  • Help installing Windows ME and other programs on my K7N420 Pro

I've got this issue where I've tried to understand why some of my programs don't work when I try various installation routines for my PC. Here's what I have:
    CPU: AMD Athlon XP 1700+
    Memory: 192
    Graphics: GeForce TI 4600
    Sound: Creative Live MP3+
I have the following pieces of software:
    Windows 98/ME/XP
    nForce system drivers
All original drivers for my graphics/sound cards.
At one point I was able to run any game demo on my PC before I had to reformat my PC; every since I've not been able to get any demo to run; of course all of my other games/applications run fine.
I've also had issues installing the nForce drivers. I've installed them right after installing Windows ME and after updating ME, mostly things are OK but there are issues.
If anyone has any advice on what programs to install and when I would be very appreciative. Please email me anytime at: [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Christopher

I guess my first question for wonkanoby is, in which order should I install the drivers after I have Windows ME installed?  My second question is, after those drivers are installed, what next, install the sound card driver? Oh, and when should I install the updates for ME?
I also agree that I should be better off with Windows XP but every time I've installed it, I've had horrible system performance. For example, every game I have installed that works great under ME is slowed under XP.
I currently have "Age of Wonders II" and "No one lives forever 2" installed on my PC and only AOWII is currently -- NOLF2 freezes on the first load screen. The demos that I'm trying to get working are "Unreal Tournament 2003", James Bond Nightfire", and "Asheron's Call."
I also got the latest Live Driver 2 from MSI and used it to get the latest nForce drivers.
The reason I had to initially reformat my PC was due to a virus that got to my boot record.
    thx,
    Christopher

  • Help installing Windows

So, I've installed a working boot camp partition 3 times now on my own computer, using XP once, and 7 twice. That's been on a 2010 macbook, using snow leopard for the first, and Lion for the second. I've also installed it for a friend at my school who had a 2012 Macbook Pro. However, I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a family member's 2011 Macbook Pro, and am having much more trouble than ever before.
Now, each time that I've installed Windows 7, my superdrive was not functioning correctly or I didn't have a disc available. I found out how to edit the .plist so that my computer would be able to boot from USB because that option is mysteriously not available, but accessible. Upon doing that installing windows has been extremely easy for me.
She has an available University key for Windows 7, and I still have the .iso file from my installation; no factory CD is readily available. Anyways, the computer wouldn't recognize when the iso was burned onto a disc, so I am attempting to install in the same manner as earlier. I edited the .plist in the exact same manner, except I used the boot ROM version from the different computer. Beyond that, everything has been the exact same.
Upon starting the boot camp, the option to create a Windows 7 install disc exists; I do that, and have that plugged in. I start the process, choose the amount needed, and then continue. Normally, when this fails, I know that it notifies the user that no boot disc was detected; I got no such notification, so it must have recognized that the installation 'disc' functions. Then, the computer should turn off, start up again, and begin the installation.
I'm stuck there; all I get is a black screen saying "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". The USB is in, and I've never encountered any error before like this. Is there some sort of incompatability that I'm unaware of? This is the 4th time I've installed windows 7, and I've been checking all of my steps and I can't determine what is wrong. The boot camp version is the same, the OS X is the same, the files are the same (I haven't gotten to actually entering the product key), and the boot information I entered in the .plist files matches up correctly, as far as I can tell. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi:
See if this chipset driver works...
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_winxp_15.26.html
I would need to know what model wireless card your model uses in order to provide the driver.
If you don't know, go to the device manager, and click on the device labeled Network Controller?
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the Network Controller window.
Now you should see a string of characters that start with PCI\VEN.
    Post that string of characters.
