Help! Internal Error #2738 when installing CD

So, I have a brand new computer and when I try to install the CD that came with my Centro I get error 2738. I did a search and found out that 2738 is for VBscript. So, I went to windows and downloaded latest windows script (which, btw latest is for XP and vista). After installing I still get same error. Has anyone encountered a similar situation or have any tips for me? I would appreciate any help regarding this matter.

Hi,
I bought a Ipod Nano today and to put music on it i have to install iTunes 7.
But when i want to install it, after windows installer is preparing a unexpected error occurs and it stops. It gives error 2738..
It does not even start the actual installer of iTunes..
Can someone help me? Because my iPod is rather useless now

Getting "Internal Error 2352" when installing JRE...

Every time I try to install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) I keep getting a message that says "Internal Error 2352" and the installation stops.
I tried to find a solution using Google search but could not find any.
If anyone knows what might be causing the problem any help would be appreciated.

We also saw this in 1.6.0.11.
Open the MSI with ORCA and navigate to the InstallExecuteSequence table.
For whatever reason, the smart guys at Sun limit there actions to only run with the /QN switch.
For each of the following entries in the InstallExecuteSequence change UILEVEL=2 in the condition to UILEVEL<5
SetExists
- Installed And (DATABASE<>OriginalDatabase) And UILevel<5
SETMOZ
- (MOZILLAPLUGIN="0" And REMOVE) Or UILevel<5
SETNET
- (NETSCAPEPLUGIN="0" And REMOVE) Or UILevel<5

EM CS6 Mac continuous "internal errors" failure when installing extensions

System OSX 10.6.8, Dreamweaver CS6 Version 12.0 Build 5842, Extension Manager Version 6.0.2.40
After updating from DWCS5.5 to CS6 a number of the exensions failed and or will not load. And, yes using the latest versions that were supposed to be compatible with CS6. It is unclear whether the problem is with the Extension Manager or DW but either way it isn't working.
The error says. "Internal error (please contact techincal support). The extension will not be removed."
To add to it the internal errors also include the removal of some of the current extensions.
I don't expect problems with new versions of the extensions from Project Seven, DMX Zone and Webassist. On failure to load in DWCS6 I tried it in DWCS5.5 without problem.
Any suggestions?

We cannot download the extensions above( the producers didn't provide the trial versions ). So you can try 2 things:
1. Generate Extension Manager log files with the steps below, and paste the content of log files here or send them to us by email.
2. Launch Extension Manager, and click Tools --- Conver MXP Extension To ZXP, browse to your mxp extension to convert the mxp extension to a zxp file. ZXP file is a zip file actually, so you can extract it by any zip tools. Then you should be able to find a "xxx.mxi" file in it. You can send the mxi file to us. Because MXI file is an XML file, which does not have any content files of the extension, and the only purpose of it is to let Extension Manager to manage the extension, we think it is okay.

1. Create a file named "ExManLog.YES" in Extension Manager folder.
    Windows:
    1) Open command prompt as administrator;
    2) Change directory to "C:\Program File (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS"
    3) Run command

    Mac:
    1) Open terminal;
    2) Change directory to"/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS/Adobe Extension Manager CS.app/Contents/MacOS";
    3) Run command
    sudo touch ExManLog.YES
2. Launch Extension Manager.
3. Extension Manager log files( *.log ) can be found in the following folder.
    Windows: "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS\"
    Mac: "/Users/<UserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS/"

ERROR 2738 when installing Itunes with Vista

I tried to install the latest version of Itunes on my laptop (a dell Inspiron 6400 running Vista). When I'm in the installation I get the message that the installation can@t be completed with error code 2738. Anyone had this before? Help!

Just doublechecking something. Were you installing the version 7.3.0.54 that came out just yesterday, or an earlier version?
If it was an earlier version, perhaps try a 7.3.0.54 install to see if that goes through any better. Here's a link through to that installer:

Plz help me: Error msg when installing SAP netweaver

I am trying to install NetWeaver on my local system. I am not able to proceed further to install SAP NetWeaver 2004's.
When ever I am running SAPinst.exe file I am getting a prompt that says "Network input/output exception has occurred: Connection reset java.net.SocketException: Connection reset" and then it will ask for host and port number. I entered the local host name and port number as 21212. then I am getting a msg saying "Could not connect to host [HOST NAME] on port 21212. java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect"
I installed all required JAVA components like Java Runtime Environment, Java SDK and JAVA JDK. I verified all environmental variables. I created a new connection with MS loopback adaptor. I disabled all other network cards available on my system. I entered required info in HOST file and SYSTEM file in %windows/system32/drivers/etc% folder.
After trying 2 - 3 times I tried to change the port number as mentioned in installation guide also ( using sapinst.exe SAPINST_DIALOG_PORT=<free_port_number_sapinst_gui_to_gui_server> GUISERVER_DIALOG_PORT=<free_port_number_gui_server_to_sapinst_gui> command in command line) . But no Luck.
Can any one help me, what else shall I do to proceed further. Thanks in advance.

There is an option when starting the sapinst program to avoid starting up an installation GUI and instead wait for a connection from a remote installation console. I believe it is:
./sapinst -nogui (or something very similar, check the installation guide)
The server will now wait for a response from your terminal. Use the remote installation program and enter the port number of the server. If you just run the sapinst program without the nogui flag you may run into some issues. And make sure your versions match up. I have run into an issue before where I didn't realize I was using a verion of the remote installation program that didn't match up with sapinst server program.

I got internal error 2738 after trying to install the marvell yucon ethernet adapter driver

I got the marvell yucon ethernet adapter driver on the acer support page. My laptop is an extensa 5420-5038 with vista sp2 32 bit. My wired lan is not working but the wireless is. The version of the acer driver is 10.12.8.3 if that would help. I think uninstalling the old software for the adapter must have failed during installation and I don't know what to do. I don't know how to find any old applications or machine language software for the adapter in the computer to uninstall before trying again if that is what I have to do. Do I have to go to the command prompt and do something?

I had some trouble getting the TPC-2106 to work becuase I realized I had failed to install the drivers for it to use it as a project target. Vista installed the WMDC (windows mobile device center) program so I can browse the TPC as if it was a HD the second time I rebooted the device. I know I had problems installing LabView the first time a few weeks back, some errors of this and that (I don't recall them exactly).
Now I have tried to re-install LabView 8.6 Pro Dev [NI Developer Suite 4Dvds 2008 3rd Qtr] and got a series of Internal Error 2738's, and the latest one is for the touch screen driver set (2rd item to puke, 3rd of 40 I picked to install all items, so I killed the install). I will try to delete the old install of 8.6 and retry. I saw some stuff about a MS error with vbscript.dll on some other website..?...?
Anyone seen this? Why do I get this?

Hi Abales,
The issue seems to be with Microsoft VB Script as you rightly guessed. This doesn’t seem to be an NI issue, so I am not sure if this will fully resolve this.
However when looking into this issue, I came across a Microsoft Forum based on this issue.
They suggest to go START --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt. You need to run this as an Administrator. To do this you need to right click on the Command Prompt at select Run as administrator.
Once you have done this, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll This will re-register the specific dll that maybe causing the issue.

Error code 2738 when installing Quicktime

Hello,
I downloaded Quicktime on my computer and got an error message when installing it The error message says: "Itune + Quicktime error installation package. Error code 2738.
Installation of Quicktime did not complete successfully. ITune requires Quicktime."
*Does anyone know what error code 2738 means and how to fix it*?

I ran FixIt earlier on but it did not do any thing.
This is what I did and I am not sure which one fixed this ... but worked.
* Disabled UAC
* Ran the following for the link (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949140) - section -
"You are running a 64-bit version of the Windows operating system, and you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section while you are using the 32-bit scripting components"
Uninstalled the old factory(HP build) and installed iTune 10.x ... WORKS

I get an error message when trying to install Flash Player.
I use Windows 64 bit with Internet Explorer 64x.
I'm able to download, the installation starts but it stops before completing.
I get this error message (loosely transalated) :

How can I fix this ?

I solved my problem by installing the Flash Player from home.
The network security at work prevented me from completing installation.

I successfully imported an APO planning area into the quality systems, however the same request ends with error 12 in the production system. Landscape is SCM 5.0 sp8 with BI 7.0 sp12. When i checked the import job RDDEXECL (user DDIC), it shows:

You can create a customer message providing the following information:
1. The symptoms that occurred
2. The highest Support Package
3. The current SAP_BASIS Support Package level
4. The queue that is currently selected
