HELP!!!!! IPHONE 5C

I damaged my phone and the screen is black. I now have a new phone and I have to reset the old phone and send it to the insurance company. I logged into my iCloud and removed the phone from find my phone but I am still unable to restore it since iTunes is requesting that i turn off find my phone on the iPhone. I can't do that since the screen is black. How the heck do I do this?!

If you've removed the device from your iCloud account, then use recovery mode to force the device to restore: Use recovery mode - Apple Support

I had this problem on my iPod Touch 4g. Just press the home and sleep button. Wait and it will give an iTunes and cable logo. Now you can put in DFU mode (Hold Sleep and Home button 10 seconds and then release the power button kand keep pressing on the home button.) Now you will be able to restore it in iTunes.

I did disable the security (AVG and Zone Alarm) when I tried on my own PC. My wife's laptop which eventually got it working also uses AVG and Zone Alarm but on an XP O/S whereas my PC is Vista - maybe this is why.

Your iPhone was "unofficially" unlocked by some means to work with a different carrier. Now that you have updated it has relocked to the original carrier. If you do not know who the original carrier was you will need to call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number of your iPhone. Then you will need to contact that carrier to see if they have a process to unlock the phone and if you qualify.

You can do that. Just be aware that if you ever have to restore your phone as a new device you will be forced to install IOS 8. For now you can keep your phone on IOS 7 and just ignore the update.

The prices in the US store are in dollars - as you are paying INR - there is a conversion taking place somewhere and it is somewhat logical to believe that it is on the end of the bank card since Apple is not in the currency business (tho they know how to generate a lot of it!)

Please help, iPhone 5 stuck in recovery mode and will not update.

I tried to update my girlfriend's iPhone 5 (AT&T) from 6.1.2 to 7.0.4 last night and something went wrong so of course I had backed it up so I put the phone into recovery mode and attempted to completely restore it and then restore from back-up (or at least that was my plan) but the problem is that once I got it in recovery mode and started the update it froze mid-update (Not a computer problem, I have a rMBP 2013, 2.3 ghz i7 & 16GB ram) so after about 30 minutes of watching it at the same spot I unplugged it and attempted to start over. Now everytime I attempt to update it it tries to re-download the software and once it gets completely downloaded it says it was corrupted during the download. I have also attempted to download the IPSW manunally and update that way and it now gets partially through the update and throws an error message. I have tried to use tinyumbrella to kick it out of recovery mode and it does not work either. I am out of options, I have no idea what else to do. I aplogize for my ****** grammar and sentence structure I am flustered and haven't taken the time to proofread it.

FIRST, edit your hosts file (which was corrupted by the jailbreak process) and remove any references to gs.apple.com; delete the whole lines and save the file. If you don't know how to do this you will have to get help, and it shows that jailbreaking was a bigger mistake than you thought.
Next, connect to a USB port directly on the computer, not a hub and disconnect all USB devices that consume power or bandwidth (like USB drives).
Put it into DFU mode to restore. With the phone disconnected hold HOME and SLEEP until a black screen appears. Immediately release SLEEP and continue holding HOME. While holding connect to iTunes and continue holding. After a while (perhaps several minutes) iTunes should recognize the phone. When it does release the HOME button and hope for the best.

I've got a problem with my iPhone 5s. I opened my iPhone to fix an issue with the home button (Watched a guide on youtube on how to achieve this), and I connected everything as it is supposed to go, my home button is working but now my screen won't turn on or the phone won't play any sounds. I know the phone it's on because I can connect it to the computer and the computer recognizes it. Also, I tried calling it, and it rings on the phone I am calling from, but my iPhone simply won't play any sounds...
I am also sure the phone is not in DFU mode.

HELP: iPhone 6 Keyboard/Touch Screen Not Working

Hello.
I recently acquired to an iPhone 6, which has been working properly for the last two weeks. Today, my keyboard/touch screen stopped working properly. When I am typing in iMessage, or trying to compose an email, enter a URL, or anything else that requires my touch keyboard, my "123" button that switches to numbers, punctuation, and special characters does not open. I updated my software to iOS 8.3., which switched to a new and "improved" emoji keyboard, but I did this after my keyboard had already become unresponsive. If I click on the emjoi keyboard icon to switch over, the "ABC" button to swtich back to QWERTY is unresponsive. This is REALLY frustrating! The phone is two weeks old, and I cannot use to for a huge chunk of functionality.
It's not a dead spot on the touch screen. When I am not trying to access the keyboard, that little bottom left corner works fine to open/use my Phone app.
I really don't want to reset my phone. Any other ideas?
I made a Genius Bar appointment for next Wednesday 4/15, but that seems like an eternity from now.

To make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the Touch Screen . If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

I am desperate and seriously need some help - iPhone tracking.

I need to prove I was not at this cliff & in fact have never been there, nor have I ever been stalking his house as he claims (& was awarded a 500m exclusion zone from his house so I can’t get my daughter if I need to as well as a ban on any telephone or postal contact between my daughter & I). I can prove my phone has been used every day for the last 2 years with my bills and if I can prove that in that time I have never been to this cliff, among a million other things I need to try & prove by Wednesday, I have a fighting chance of getting her back. I was allowed supervised visitation today & she’s scared & confused, massively regressed, looking physically neglected, she was withdrawn & was trying to tell me something but being supervised she couldn’t & got told off for whispering. The police are powerless in this & Children’s Services believe him over me, unless I can disprove his claims. Apparently it’s my job to prove their allegations are false rather than them having to prove they’re true!
Anyway, I’m trying to do the tracking thing on my iPhone 4, IOS 5.1.1.
I have got so far but I am totally stuck now. Nothing I do seems to work & to be honest half of the instructions may as well be in Swahili to me! It’s all totally over my head & I am not techy enough to understand it, I’m literally Googling every other word to try to understand.

I have no idea what any of this means but I have heard this technology is no longer valid? Apple has changed it or something? Apparently people whining about big brother & invasion of privacy has made apple change everything & clam up about tracking, but apparently there is still a way, just no one seems to know how!

#1. The iPhone "tracker" you're referring to has already been completely debunked. That is NOT what the data was. In addition, Apple update that "fixed" the percieved problem, so the data is no longer accessible.
The only way to "prove" what you want to is get a court order for your cellular company to pull the records for the location of your phone over time from their system.
They know exactly where you phone is at any given moment, but that is not going to be something they will give you just for the asking.
Get a lawyer. If you had one, they would have already advised you of this. If you can't afford one, call legal aid.
