HELP! Iphoto 2.0 problems
hi.. i'm an idiot first and foremost.. anyway, i have an external hard drive where i have my photo library, photos etc.. for some reason i felt the need to rename it today, and now iphoto wont recognize the library or look for it.
to compound matters further I deleted the application Iphoto 2.0 and all preference files etc, and was just going to reinstall 2.0. however, the installer says there is a version newer than 2.0 on my drive, despite the fact that I've deleted it and it wont let me "install an older version over a newer version"...
argh. I'm on 10.2.8 by the way. I'd get Ilife 06, but I dont know if my four year old Imac Spec Ed dv would support 10.3.8 or higher...

At the root level of your start-up drive, you'll find a folder named "Library". In that folder, look for the folder named "Receipts". In the Receipts folder will be one or two .pkg files that relate to iPhoto. Move those to the trash, and you should be able to install iPhoto.
Once you've reinstalled iPhoto 2, update it to v2.0.1 using Software Update (you'll need a live internet connection). Then refer to iPhoto Help topic "switching between photo libraries" to get to your old photo library.

Help! I have an iMac 24" OSX version 10.6.8. My iphoto is having problems. It will not open properly. All I get is the little wheel going around and around. My iphoto is: iphoto'11 version 9.2.3(629.52). What do I need to do to remedy this? I recently installed InstallMac. I don't want this on my computer. I don't know how to get it off. Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

IPhoto library sudden problems with gray thumbs/pictures
Very suddenly, the pictures in the iPhoto library started behaving oddly. They would show up normally until the slider was moved to larger and then become gray. Double-clicking would not open them, either in edit or in another image program. After reading some of the discussions, (and backing up the folder to another computer), I tried rebuilding the library. Now all I get is gray, no pictures at all.

I've a big problem with adobe acrobat reader XI pro and I hope you can help me.
The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.
What can I do?

Can anyone help me with a problem i am having with my music on my iPhone 4S. I have put alot of Compilation CDs in my library on iTunes. I download these tracks onto my phone, everything is ok so far. Now, this is what is niggling me and I don.t know how to resolve it. This is my problem:
Have downloaded for example: Queen – Bohemium Rhapsody from a compilation album as well as a few complete Queen Album CDs into the iTunes library and then put them into playlists,
When I go onto my phone and select Queen on the MUSIC app using Songs tab at the bottom of the screen it will display all Queen songs and their resective Alum pics, that is all those not in a complilation album, .
If I know the song title I can select the songs tab and find the song that way,
I’ve tried fiddling with the settings in the iTunes app by going to ‘get info’ tab and trying to sort the problem out that way but am not having much luck.What I want the phone to do is show, for example all Queens songs including those in compilation albums. Can this be done, would be grateful for any ideas on how it can be done, that is if ic can be done, any ideas

Tabs only open in a new window. Ctl T opens a new window NOT a new tab help-last update this problem started 2 days ago. How do I set FF back to open tabs in 1 window?
There is no plus sign and going into optins and changing settings has not worked. I have uninstall FF and reinstall-keeping my personalization-and that was no help.
Right clicking on FF Icon to open a new tab, or going up to FF drop down tab and clicking on new tab both do not work.
Help everything opens a new window not a new tab. there seems to be no way to reset this or to chose a different optin. I just downloaded new tabs at end addon and it didn't do a thing.as a first troubleshooting step - does it work like normally when you open & run firefox in [[Safe Mode|safemode]] by pressing the shift key while you open firefox (all other instances have to be closed before)...

I have an iPhone 4s and it is now deactivated. the phone is asking for my apple account and password. but i have forgotten my password. i tried to reset it on iforgot.apple.com, and when i entered my apple id the next thing that appeared on screen is that i have to chose either email verification or security questions. then i click the security question then it asked about my birthday. there where only asking the month and day. then i entered my birthday which is March 8.
so can somebody help me with this problem?

I have a problem with my iphone 4. My 3G always stays activated but I lose my network signal. The bars all get lost and I'm not able to receive / send sms, mms or phone calls. Could you guys please help me fix this problem? Ios 5.1.1
I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated. -
