Help - Ipod stuck in 'charging' mode even though its not!

Can anyone help? I charged my ipod this morning, disconnected it from itunes now the screen is stuck on 'connected - eject before disconnecting'.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this? None of the buttons seem to work.
Thanks

I have the same problem. I used my iPod in my alarm clock this a.m. Turned off the alarm - removed the iPod & it's stuck on Charging. The lock is not on - I tried turning the lock off & on. Cannot turn off the iPod. ITunes doesn't recognize it. I couldn't use it for my Nike pod with my run this morning & I'm now of course not able to log my runs!!! Someone help!

I have had a new hard drive installed. On start up I transferred all my settings and documents from my time capsule. Once complete I have two user accounts. Mine and guest. From System Preferences/Help:
Reset your login password using your Apple ID
Before you can use your Apple ID to reset your login password, make sure that FileVault isn’t enabled on your computer.
Also make sure that an Apple ID is associated with your user account, and that an administrator has given you permission to reset your own password using an Apple ID. For more information, see this help topic:
Associate Apple IDs with your user account
Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
In the login window, click the question mark in the password field, and then click the arrow in the dialog that appears.
Enter an Apple ID and password, and then click Reset Password.
I don't know if it works.

After ios7, My iphone4 has gone dead twice in a time frame of around two months...even though its not happening very often but a two month Old phone going dead just after a New update is not acceptable.probably ios7 still has sum bugs dat need to be fixed...Can this bug expected to be fixed in the next update...

    Hi 1283ar.
Unfortunately, iOS 7 is too hard to push for the iPhone 4 and therefore has a lot of effects turned off to try to get it to run as smoothly as possible.
However, it becomes better and better with each update coming but it's hard to do anything about the hardware on an already released phones.
If you still have trouble or think they are too hard. My tip is, if so, to restore your iPhone 4 and make a clean setup with no iCloud backup. But all your photos in a photostream so you can access it later.

  • IPod stuck in recovery mode with home button not working

Hi, I was restoring my iPod and everything went fine until it was restarting with the apple logo and loading symbol. My iPod's home button hasn't been working in a while so I use assistive touch. Now the iPod is stuck in recovery mode and I can't press the home button, I don't know what to do. Pls help!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Whenit says place the iPod in recoivery mode:
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    or
    http://joshuabailey1997.wordpress.com/2010/09/02/recboot-v1-3/
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and
    RecBoot tip
RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:
Tenorshare ReiBoot – Enter & Exit iPhone, iPad, iPod Recovery Mode with a Single Click
    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    Installs blootware on PC too
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Why does my iPod(3rd gen) say charging is not supported with this accessory even though its not plugged in?

I was eating breakfast one morning playing a game on my iPod and it slipped out of my hand and into my cereal bowl. So immediately I took off the case and put in a bag of rice for a day and a half to let it dry out. Then when it started working again (thankfully) a notification popped up saying charging is not supported with this accessory after I unplugged it from the wall. So I thought nothing of it and pressed dismiss. Now when ever I wake it up, instead of my wallpaper popping up in the lock screen that stupid notification does. How can I get rid of it? Also my home button doesn't work anymore so I have to use asisstive touch instead. How do I take a screen shot without the assisting touch menu in the way? Thank you.

    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • My phone is stuck in headphone mode even though the headphones are not attached to the phone.  How do I fix this?

I am trying to raise the volume on my phone, but it is saying that the headphones are attached when they are not attached.  How do I fix this?

I tried everything there was. I tried to plug and unplug, I tried to clean it and dry it, and I really didn't want to put my phone in a bag of rice for 12 or 24 hours because I wasn't very patient. So what I did was; I put my phone on headphone mode and put it on airplane mode, then I left it there for 5 minutes and turned airplane mode off and it was working!!!! Hope this helped.

  • TS1559 My phone switches off and says charge! Even though its 30% charged

My phone dies when its 30% charged

Your problem is that you purchased your phone from a non-official source. When you do that, & you don't even live in the country you purchased the phone in, you're basically on your own. Apple won't help you, & neither will any of the authorized sources in India or Dubai.
Sorry, but you're on your own here.

  • So I'm getting a new phone from a four to a 5s, and my 5s has been activated but now im trying to back up my icloud on my four, will it work even though its not activated anymore? and how long will it take?? someone help.

    Someone please help me!!!

It may not back up to iCloud if it no longer has service.  Suggest you back it up to your computer using iTunes instead.  To do this, connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now.  Then go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
Then when setting up your new phone, when given the option choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore to this backup of your iPhone 4.

  • HT1476 My iPhone 4S battery is showing charged sign even though its charged only 30%

    Please answer my query

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

If still no luck, get it serviced:

  • Calendar appears busy even though its not

    Heyo.
So I tried out the 60 day free trial of MobileMe. Didn't like it and canceled after about 4 days. Now I have the "busy dots" on every single day on the calendar, whether or not I have an appointment on that day.
Before I used MobileMe I was using outlook to sync data. I'm back to using outlook now.
    Any ideas?

OK I have more to add.
I don't think it has anything to do with MobileMe. Other people who have had similar problems attest its due to events that are in the past, or events that end before the start time.
I think I've isolated the problem to be with my contacts' birthdays. In outlook, when you add a birthday, it creates a recurring appointment starting in the year born with no end date. But when I view in a table view, it lists the "end date" as the same year as the start date.
When I don't have my contacts' birthdays in my Outlook, the iPhone calendar appears fine. Once I add the birthdays, those dots appear on every day whether or not there is an appointment on that date.

  • Nano stuck in charging mode

My iPod nano is stuck on charging mode even when it's not plugged in. I can use it and it plays ok, but it's always got the lightning in the battery meter at the top of the screen. If I hold the pause button down to turn it off, it turns off for a few seconds and then a big battery with the lightning in it shows up on the screen. That's about all I can tell you. I've tried resetting it (holding the center and menu buttons in for a few seconds) many times. I even restored it to factory settings the other day and it's still doing it. Has anyone else heard of this problem or have any idea how to fix it? Thanks.

    I'm having a similar problem.
When I took the iPod off of its charger the night before last, it continued to display the "Charged" (battery with a power cord) screen until I turned it on and off again. I put it in its case and went to bed. The next morning, I slipped it in my pocket without a second look or thought, but when I tried to play it last night on the way home from work, it wouldn't turn on. I figured it hadn't charged properly.
Last night, I charged it fully again, turned it off, locked it, and put it back into its case. This morning, however, when I picked it up, the screen was on and backlit, even though the controls had been locked for over seven hours. I thought it had frozen, so I unlocked it and tried turning it off. It immediately turned back on again, and displayed the "charged" icon in the top right corner for a second, before returning to the icon which showed the battery was half-depleted. I tried to turn it off a couple more times, and once it even went back to the full-screen "Charged" icon. However, it just would not turn off and stay off.
I thought it was a hardware problem, but, come to think of it, the last time I charged it before two nights ago, I also installed the new firmware. Could it be a firmware problem?

  • TS1702 I have a paid game app that I deleted and want to reinstall. There is no download button for it in iTunes even though its deleted from my ipad. Other apps I deleted I was able to re-download. What do I do? I would like to download this app again to

    Hi there,
Hoping someone can help. I purchased a Big Fish Game app from itunes for my Ipad 1. I decided to delete it and reinstall it as there were some errors in the game. When I visit itunes to reinstall it it doesnt give me the option to reinstall/re-download and has it marked as downloaded even though its not now on my Ipad. I have already deleted and re-downloaded something else so I believe I know how to do this. Its a paid app so I would rather not delete it from itunes as an option.
Hoping someone can help this newbie, thanks,

  • Register network - even when its not in range

I bought a Macbook Pro for my in-laws, who aren't tech savvy and live in pretty far away.
Is there a way that I can set up the Macbook Pro to recognize their wireless network, even though its not in range?
I have the network details, since its own my own laptop. Any possible way?

I don't quite understand what you mean by that but you can do the following. in network preferences->airport click on advanced->airport and check the box to remember networks this computer has joined. then when you are connecting to a network for the first time check the box to remember the password in the keychain (I do hope you password protect the network). then airport will automatically connect to this network any time it's in range.

    please?

WHow long have you left it to charge?  Have you tried resetting it after a short period of time to see if that can help jumpstart the charging process? To do this, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
