I put a wrong GL on a PO created by me, I now want to change it.

You ask ABAPer to write a program in that program you give one text file as input with old GL and new GL corresponding to that old GL so that the program will replace it with new GLs.

How to change the "short name (account name?)" and home directory name?

Hi,
I recently purchased a new iMac and migrated account info from my MacBook Pro. I happened to use random account name during migration without knowing it will not be easy to change the short name (account name?) and home directory name. As a result, I am now having extremely confusing short name and home directory name on my new iMac.
I did online search to find out how to change the two names, but I could only found somethig like "enabiling root user and....." I have no idea what it was talking about and I don't want to take risk altering such advance set up manually.
Please advice how I can change the short name and home directory name safely without much PC knowledge.

There are a few ways of doing this. The easiest method is logging into the first account and copying everything to an external drive (or flash drive or whatever), which changes the permissions so that others can see the files.
Then, login with the new account and copy the files over. Once they are copied, the correct permissions will be applied again (so other people on your computer can't access them).
If you can't do this method for one reason or other, you can do some terminal commands to change the ownership of the files. Login to the new account. If it is an admin account, open terminal and type the following command:
sudo chown -R -v yourusername:admin /Users/originalaccountnamehere
That should change the ownership of the files from your old account to the new one. At that point, you can simply drag the files into place.

I have to post a invoice in MIRO transaction, and, if Account Assignment Category (KNTTP) is = 'A', I have to substitute General Account by other. I have tried do it by GGB1, but here field BKPF-BELNR and BKPF-AWKEY aren't filled, and I don't know how I can obtain Account Assignment Category in the substitution. Could you help me?

Do this step....
1.GO to MIRO
2. Enter the Invoice date/Posting date
3. In PO ref enter the PO number and enter.
after that you will get the line item details..... move into the right hand side fields there you will get the acc assignment tab...
4. Click and Change the GL acc
5.Check and save it...

I am trying to use OC4J 10.1.3.4 standalone with Spring 3.0 but I keep getting the error
nested exception is oracle.xml.parser.schema.XSDException: Duplicated definition for: 'identifiedType'It worked fine when I was using Spring 2.5.6
I have tried to change the parser as described here (http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/1013/how_to/how-to-swapxmlparser/doc/readme.html). This is not quite ideal as I want to change the parser for the whole server and not just one application and besides, If I cant start the server, I will not be able to change the parser for an application anyway. I say this because the default xml parser (xmlparserV2.jar) throws an exeception if you try to use it with Spring 3.0 i.e.

Hi All,
I have found a way to change the xml parser for my application and NOT the xml parser for the server. I followed the instructions here http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/1013/how_to/how-to-swapxmlparser/doc/readme.html. In the end, I had to settle for changing the xml parser of my application(i.e. It uses its a custom parser e.g. xerces not the default OC4J parser i.e. xmlparserV2) and not the xml parser for OC4J because it was near impossible to change the xml parser for OC4J and besides, as the OC4J default parser(xmlparserV2) works well with the server and not my application, it made more sense to change the parser for my application (changed to Xerces) and not OC4J. Hope this helps someone else who may come across a similar problem.

Which field are you thinking of in particular? Are you wanting to increase or decrease the length?
Some fields are used so extensively that a change to their length will mean adjusting many tables, some of them potentially very large, and hence taking a long time to adjust.
Some standard SAP programs expect certain fields to be of specific lengths and won't work if the length is changed.
Some screens could cease to work.
If you decrease length, then you could lose data.

I created an Field Symbol, in a Interface which I use for Adobe Forms. The type of the Field Symbol is STANDARD TABLE, and this field symbol I fill with data from another program.
But the problem is that in adobe forms, this Field Symbol is taken as TEXT FIELD and not as Table... and this shows me a Dump because it can't convert Internal Table to type C (the dump is like that).
What I need, is how to change the Field Symbol, so Adobe Forms takes it as a Table?
I looked at Adobe Form, and found this:
The Type Category of the Field Symbol is DICTIONARY TYPE and I think I need to change it to Internal Table as shown in the right picture.
Does someone have any idea?

To what i understand your requirement, you need to pass data from Field symbol to internal table in Adobe form.
You have done it correct partially. I have replicated your scenario and steps are below -

i have done this on my ipad mini and my imac but they are still not syncing. my iphone 4 has the icloud symbol but it seems to be unresponsive to touch, I cannot get it to highlight or turn-on. Bit confused.

I modified the budget categories on the numbers template so now the transaction tab does not communicate with the budget tab. I figured out how to change the drop down options but how do I get it to reflect on my budget sheet? Please help.

If you are familar with the Numbers Budget Template it has two tabs 'Budget' and 'Transactions'. If you use the template as it is designed when you input expenses on the transaction tab it will automatically add that amount into the selected category on the budget tab. I have madified my budget tab to reflect the caegories that I need, which included adding several to the template. I also added to the table so it reflects my income and expenses so I can track where I am at with a glance. Since I did this, I can't get my transactions tab to communicate with the budget tab. I figured out how to change the options in the drop down box for category but I con't figure out how to get it to reflect onto my budget tab. I'm sure that it is an easy fix, however, I am just not well versed in Numbers. I appreciate your time in helping me with this issue.

My guess is that while you added catetories to your Budget Sheet by adding new lines and filling in the category column, you didn't also add the formulas to these new budget lines.
The proper way to add those lines would have been to select a cell in the line just above where you want to add a line and type Option/Alt-DownArrow. This would have copied the formulas into the new line. Maybe you did this, and maybe not. You didn't give details on how you added the lines.
Select C2 and D2 and Command-C to copy them to the Clipboard.
Select all the cells of Columns C and D except for the top and bottom rows and Command-V to Paste.
If I have properly guessed the problem, you should be in business. This assumes that your Categories are exaclty the same as the entries in your Pop-up menus. Spelling counts, as does case.

first, you just asked me to use MS file Explorer to see what the properties were.,..and to ask what happened. Yes - that's on my hard drive. The problem I have is opening word files in a DB that is web enabled.....I've used Firefox browser for that, and everything else , for years...... When I look at the Tools, and options on FireFox., as your support page noted.....NOTHING is listed in the Applications tab....hence my note asking for help. The file I need to open is a Word file out on a web enabled DB. It's not on my hard drive - I have to problems opening docs there - but for that, I don't use Firefox
