HELP! iTunes Disk Conflict??

I have 2 harddrives
C:\ is where my itunes is installed
D:\ is where my library is
Today I've been going through and updating album art (which I thought was being saved to D:\ with my library, and apparently it is not.)
iTunes now gives me the wonderful:
"The iTunes Music Library file cannot be saved. The disk you are attempting to use is full."
Is there a way to set it so that the album art I'm importing is saving to D instead of C?

Programs must be installed to the C drive to operate properly.  Fix that first.
In Edit > Preference > Advanced, change the library location to where you want to move the folder to.  This can also be done after moving the iTunes library.
Then close iTunes.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from it's current location in C:\users\<user id>\Music to whatever location you want.
While holding <SHIFT> launch iTunes and continue holding until prompted to create or locate the iTunes library.
Select the option to location and point it to the new location where you previously copied the iTunes folder.
Then close iTunes and relaunch ensuring that everything is working.
You can now delete the original iTunes folder in C:\users\<user id>\Music

  • Help needed: Disk space does not free up even after deleting files.

Background information for this problem: I have my iPhoto library on an external HD, and was importing files from that same drive into iPhoto, and began receiving messages that I was very low on disk space on my internal HD. From here, it seemed like iPhoto was using my boot drive for some kind of cache. Regardless of the actual reason, I began moving files from my internal HD to fix this problem temporarily (while I was importing).
At this point, I started fiddling with my files and found that no matter how many files I would delete from my HD, the available space in the finder would not free up. *At this point, I have less than 20GB on my HD, yet it says I have 1.23 GB available out of 108 GB.*
Here is what I have already tried to fix the problem, to no avail:
    a) Original user was using Filevault. I backed up all the files, created a new user without Filevault, and restored the files.
    b) Booted from CD and used Disk Utility to erase free space.
    c) Verified and fixed permissions
    d) Deleted all app and system caches (via CacheOut X)
    e) Fixed/Repaired all user/system preferences (via Preferential Treatment)
*Does anyone have any idea what's going on?*

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I ran WhatSize and here is the result. Oddly, it says there is 40.2 GB used (in the top-left) which conflicts with the information directly below it: "Capacity 108 GB, Used 103GB, Available 4.27 GB". Not so helpful.
Disk Inventory X solved the problem, however. Much thanks! I wasted most of my weekend troubleshooting this sad issue. Anyway, Disk Inventory X revealed a bug where my external hard drive for photos was still appearing as a mounted volume, even though the HD was no longer connected. Freaky.
After moving it to the trash and deleting it, I've recovered the space.
Again, thanks! Contact me if you're curious about the details, as this might help you diagnose similar problems in the future.

  • Help with disk space!

i need some serious help with disk space... so im on itunes today and it says i am running out of disk space and need to delete some files... i deleted every song in my itunes library and it stills gives me this message. i cannot download anything... i dont know what to do to clear up a large amount of disk space... please help. thanks!

Just some obvious questions first ...did you delete the song from itunes or from a playlist? Did you empty the trash yet ..as deleted files will go to your trash but still take up space until their actually deleted from here.
Doing a simple 'Get Info' (control + click) on certain files and folders will let you know how much space they are using. This app. also works nice in letting you know where all your space is being used...

  • Help: iTunes and my computer (XP) freeze when trying to synchronize iPod Nano (6G)

    Hi,
My iTunes (10.6) and my computer (running on Windows XP SP3) (near) freezes when I'm trying to synchronize my iPod Nano (6G). iTunes consumes 99% of my computer processor. And the iTunes screen stalls with the text "Synchronize starts". My iPod seems to react in the beginning, it shortly shows "synchronizing", but stops after a few seconds en says "connected" after.
I tried waiting for a long time, maybe it's just slow but that was just disappointing.
I allready changed the drive letter for the iPod in computer/disk management (a suggestion on an another forum). Didn't help.
Also tried resetting the iPod, didn't help.
I always end up killing the iTunes process in TaskManagement or rebooting the computer
I tried updating iTunes to a newer versions (running on 10.6). But that's also not responding. When I select download the newest software just nothing happens.
(I had this before and know how to fix this: run Windows Installer Cleanup en do a complete new install, lots of work).
Problably related problems but keen on suggestions
    Wim

  • Please help - iTunes won't start anymore: unknown error -69

    Hello out there,
please can anybody help me: all of a sudden my iTunes won't start any more - it only shows a message stating an unknown error -69 and then quits.
I did not change anything on my system before that, so I just don't know what could trigger that...
I am using iTunes 7.0.2 on Windows XP SP2, both German versions.
Before posting this question I searched the archives and tried the following, all to no avail:
    1. disabled "safe mode" in QuickTime audio options -> problem remains
    2. set speakers to "stereo headphones" in Windows sound options -> problem remains
    3. deinstalled iTunes, downloaded the installation file again and reinstalled it -> problem remains
    4. deinstalled iTunes and QuickTime, downloaded QuickTime stand-alone version, installed this and afterwards iTunes again -> problem remains
    5. deinstalled iTunes and QuickTime again, deleted all iTunes and QuickTime data folders, reinstalled everything again -> problem remains
    6. ran a CHKDSK an the drive iTunes is on -> no problems found
It still won't start, always giving this unknown error -69.
Please, does anybody know what to do?
Any hints and help are much appreciated!
    Thanks a lot
    and best regards
    Frank

  • Hi, i want to know how the recycle process works do you have to have the earpods and itunes disk and do you get a new ipod of your choice or a new one that you traded. Is it completely free.

hi is the recycle process free?
DO YOU NEED TO HAVE THE EARPODS AND THE ITUNES DISK TO PART TAKE IN IT OR JUST THE IPOD?
DO YOU GET A NEW IPOD OF YOUR CHOICE EG.IF I HAVE A IPOD CLASSIC AND I WANT A IPOD TOUCH 5TH GENERATION OR DO I GET THE SAME IPOD CLASSIC BUT NEW.

Please don't write all in caps. It's consider to be "shouting", and is more difficult to read.
As to your question, an Apple Store will give you 10% off of the purchase price on any new iPod when you recycle an old one (the iPod shuffle not included). They do not need the earphones nor any of the disks or packaging.
    Regards.

  • App hung on "waiting"; during update, I lost my wifi connection; now cannot delete to reinstall (no X), syc does not help; itunes store says it is installed and I cannot reinstall; deleting from itunes and synching does not remove "hung app"; HELP

App hung on "waiting"; during update, I lost my wifi connection and the app hung; now cannot delete to reinstall (no X), synching does not help; itunes app store says it is installed, therefore I cannot reinstall; deleting the app from itunes and synching does not reinstall the app on the ipod; the app developers have not helped and told me to check with Apple (which I am doing, since I am past my 90 day tech support). Hoping someone can help with this hung "waiting' app problem.

    - First try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next download the app on the computer and try to sync.
    - Last, restore from backup.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Where is Access Help (on-disk help)

My T500 came pre-loaded with Vista and I did a clean install of Win 7 x64 using the DVD from Lenovo.
When I press the ThinkVantage button, the ThinkVantage Toolbox pops up.  Although this provices a link to on-line help, I wanted to get the Access Help on-disk help files.  I downloaded the file from Lenovo (6htb02us and it went through the install routine OK.  The ThinkVantage button still brings up the Toolbox.  There is a folder C:\Program Files (x86)\ThinkVantage\AHLP, but the only files there are the AccessHelp icon and DISKAHLP.ID and DISKAHLP.VER files.
The actual help files  (*.chm) seem to be in C:\Win\Drivers\AHLP, but none of the executables in that directory or its subdirectories seems to actually run the help program.
How do I get AccessHelp to run?  What is the name of the executable and where should it be located?

I am really new to all this myself, and my month-old Thinkpad came with W7 factory-installed. I have no idea if this will help you, since you upgraded, but I access my *incomplete* (missing physical parts key guide that would match up with the numbers on the diagram pictures, as well as a glossary that would define unfamiliar terms and acronyms in the missing key guide) offline Lenovo Access Help files by pointing mouse at Start button on the left end of my main toolbar, which drops down (I keep my toolbar on the top of the screen) a menu with two lists: on the far left it lists recently used programs, then the list on the right is topped with the avatar icon that I chose for the first page where I log in my password, followed by my name, and then a number of various entries like Pictures, Documents, Favorites, Computer, Control Panel, etc., ending with Run... Right before Run..., there is an entry for Help and Support. When I click Help and Support, I get a window with 5 different options groups, and the offline Lenovo Access Help files is the first set in the upper left corner of the window. Sorry, I don't know if this will work for you, or if you have already tried it, just my naÏve 2¢. Good luck!

Fixed. /Users/x/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/AirKeysInputManager.bundle got corrupted by a badly installed safari extension. Deleting this, then reinstalling adobe air did the trick. I wasn't thorough enough on my first try, it was tricky to find everything associated. I had to look for files in the console log then search for them. Spotlight was missing some deep files, EasyFind worked better for me.

  • IPhone could not be activated because activation server is temporarily unavailable. this is now the third day and nothing improves please help. iTunes says my sim is locked but I can't unlock it

iPhone could not be activated because activation server is temporarily unavailable. this is now the third day and nothing improves please help. iTunes says my sim is locked but I can't unlock it

Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

  • Please help : itunes download disconnect my internet and TV box !

Please help : itunes download disconnect my internet and TV box. How can I fix this ?

Unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method.
then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
You could see if this post by mountaingoatgirl lets you review your account without needing to enter credit card details : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24303054#24303054
If not, and as you say that you don't have a credit or debit card (though not all debit cards appear to be accepted anyway) then you will need to create a new account, and use the instructions on the about 'create an iTunes ...' page when creating it.
