HELP!! iTunes error 9006?!

Okay, I forgot my iPhone passcode so Im trying to restore it.
But halfway after its done when it says 'iPhone Software Updating (processing file)'' The error pops up saying
''There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone ''iPhone'' A unknown error occured (9006).
Make sure your networks settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again.''
I tried like 10 times and the same thing keeps happening!
My network settings are active and connected, I made sure all the firewall and everything was off,
restarted my computer, changed the control pannel LAN settings, everything.
Nothing works! :/

ITunes error 9006

I'm using iTunes 10.5.3.3 (the latest) and am trying to download a movie I purchased, but it's stuck at 2.1MB of 1.65GB with error 9006. I download podcasts every day with no problems, so I'm at a loss to figure out why this one movie will not download.
I've tried downloading the movie at work (failed with error 9006)
I've tried downloading the movie at home(failed with error 9006)
I've tried downloading the movie at a Starbucks (failed with error 9006)
Clearly the problem is not the wireless service (it fails on any network I try).
It's not affecting any other purchases (music, podcasts, application updates), all of which download flawlessly every day (podcasts) or every few days (application updates).
Previoius movie downloads worked, so why, all of a sudden is this happening under such a very narrow set of circumstances?
It cannot be anti-virus related because, if it was, it would be affecting *ALL* download from iTunes, not just a single movie, so please don't reply with that as a suggestion because it's clearly not the answer and I refuse to waste my time on suggestions like that which only endanger my computer to attacks when those protections are turned off.

It's quite interesting how a business model like this survives: you pay your money, and you don't receive your product. Since much of the software that one tries to download on iTunes simply does not download, the business model should be changed to bill you AFTER the movies is successfully download, not before. Too much time and hassle is spent trying to get a credit because of iTunes unreliability issues.

When I try to restore my iPod it says "itunes error 9006".

I've done all updates for iTunes & IE8. I've checked security settings and everything.
No matter what I do, I get error 9006 when I try to restore it. How do I fix this?

RSS Help - iTunes Error - "host parameter is null"

hello all,
I checked the history and there seems to be no answer why iTunes is giving this error, but that it some how fixes itself. I am trying to submit a new podcast (and podcast series) to iTunes. The error that I am getting is "host parameter is null". I am not creating the xml myself i am using Feeder and I have checked it again the FeedValidator.org. I am pretty sure that I have all the fields filled out. Any ideas?

I'd start by taking those parentheses out of the URL - they might be the cause of trouble. If you want to let people know that this is an MP4 version of your feed, put the (MP4) in the podcast title.

IPod Touch Help: iTunes error while restoring my iPod

So recently, my iPod had an issue where i could only hear my music out of one ear. I went to an Apple Store in Southern FL (where i was on vacation at the time) and they suggested trading it in.
When i got back to my home, i went to another Apple Store in my area and got a new refurbished iPod. Before I went however, I backed my iPod up. So afterwards, I tried to restore my new iPod to my old iPod's settings and it claimed the iPod was too old. So then I updated the iPod and restored it to factory settings. I got the original message again and clicked my old iPod's back-up. The window told me to put in my password and then continue, etc.
However, the iPod started to restore itself when it became incomplete. A window told me that there was an error and that it could not go through. Since that time, I have been re-trying and I have restarted my computer twice and restarted iTunes. Any ideas as to what I can do? Please help.

HELP!!!!!!! THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE.
Okay, so recently I accidentally dropped my phone in the toilet (it was an accident, slipped out of my butt pocket as I was pulling my jeans down) and then did the rice trick and whatnot. After two days, I tried to turn it on again and it wouldn't work. Then, i plugged it into the recharger and MIRACLE OF MIRACLES the apple logo flashed! Then nothing more happened, it kept flashing on and off, and wouldn't respond to any buttons. So then I connected it to my macbook, and iTunes popped up saying that it'd detected an iPhone in recovery mode. however, to restore it I would have to download the newest iPhone software but I didn't have the ability to do that just yet so I unconnected it.
Now today i was finally able to download the software, but everytime I connected my iphone to mac itunes never picked it up. Eventually, following the advice of everyone on the internet, I 'put it into DFU mode' or something, (im not sure what I did, once I got a black screen that was still detected by itunes, and every other time i've got the itunes logo and a charger symbol).
Then i got really excited, followed all the onscreen prompts, until it finally said waiting for iPhone and then ERROR 2001 APPEARS! Further more, the iPhone isn't even called what I called it, but called iPhone, 'iPhone'. I've tried restarting everything, trying different ports, but nothings working, every time I just get to error 2001!
So i would really appreciate it if someone could help me! I don't care about losing files or anything, i just want it functional again.

Hi there, I had a very similar problem to yours. I ended up getting my iPhone 3GS quite wet. On top of that, some of my casing is broken (near the power button), so a lot of water got inside.
At first, there were a lot of changes to the screen, and eventually the phone simply died. It just wouldn't turn on. And then all of a sudden, the same day, it randomly switched on, and i could hear some 'sizzling' sound inside. Following this, it just kept rebooting.
At this point, I unscrewed the screws at the bottom and opened up the phone (but didn't disconnect anything). Instead of using the rice trick/silica gel etc, I just placed a fan facing pointing at the inside, and let it sizzle away, and hoped that the heat from the sizzling battery and the air from the fan would dry it soon.
It did dry - soon the sizzling stopped, and the phone just kept rebooting. The battery eventually died by the next day. So I put it on charge, and it eventually switched on, in recovery mode (USB picture and iTunes symbol).
The next thing I noticed was that the battery held almost no charge. As soon as I disconnected it, the phone would die, immediately. Same thing if you connect it to the computer. On top of that, my Mac did not recognise the iPhone at all.
Next, I cleaned out the dock with the sharp end of a safety pin and loads of fluff came out. And after re-connecting it a few times, iTunes recognised it. So I tried to restore it, but a few various errors came up, and eventually, error 2001 kept coming up. Which apparently means there is something wrong with the USB or dock. (My USB is fine, the phone dock is messed up).
So next I tried to force the phone out of recovery mode. Pressing the buttons does nothing. No program works, except RecBoot for Mac. But even on that, as soon as the phone restarted, it died immediately and went back to recovery mode.
So I took it off the computer and let the battery die again, and then charged for another 24 hours.
Now at this stage, the phone seems to hold a bit of charge for a while. And iTunes is randomly recognising the phone. And it lets me restore it. And it even lets me restore the iTunes backup!! But after it has everything restored, the phone reboots one more time and iTunes says not to disconnect it... And now it's back in recovery mode.
I'm going to keep on trying. I think it's partially down to luck and I would recommend you do the same. I'll post an update here if it works.

What version of iOS is the new one running? It may need to be updated before you can restore. You can not restore a backup made with a newer version of iOS to a device running an older version.

Help. iTunes error everytime I try to download music to my ipod

I have 2 questions:
1. The first time I connected my iPod iTunes and Windows and began to transfer music onto my iPod. However, after uploading about 250 songs it make the sound meaning I had unplugged the USB device which is not the case. When I plugged in my iPod again it had changed it's name on itunes from "Matt Coleman's iPod" to "MATT COLEMA" and won't transfer music at all. Even if I eject during the update or if I only update one playlist onto the ipod.
2. Everytime I plug in my iPod I get this message:"The file directory \iPod_control\iTunes\iTunesDB is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility." I don't know what the Chkdsk utility is or how to run it(I assume it means check disk).

Try setting your ipod into "DFU Mode"?
instructions:
-open iTunes
-plug iPod into your computer
-press and hold "Power/Standby & Home" buttons untill your device restarts
-then release the "Power/Standby" but continue to hold "Home"
- your iPod will be sent into DFU Mode (Manufacture Reset)
Note: if you choose to cancel, press and hold "Power/Standby & Home" buttons untill your device restarts then it will resume with no lost data and best works if you have a restore point in iTunes (Back-up)

IPhone 6 Error 9006 while Restoring

Now my Problem: While im restoring my iPhone in Itunes , the Error 9006 appears.
I tried to deactivate my firewall and my anti-virus program , but it didnt worked when i tried again.

The iPhone 4S comes automatically loaded with iOS 5, and any updates after iOS 5.0 can be completed directly from on the phone in Settings > General > Software Update. If you are having trouble using iTunes to update software, I suggest you reset iTunes so that you can pair your phone to the computer again, because if you can't see the serial number and capacity, that generally means your phone isn't paired. For any problems this doesn't fix, please contact Apple directly through their automated help line, 1(800)MYAPPLE.

I keep getting the error message 'error 9006' when i try to update my iphone and ipad with iOS 6.1.2 - HELP

Can any one help me.
I'm having an continued issue with my phone/ipad 2 and updating it.
I've tried (unsuccessfully) 7 or 8 times to update my iphone 4s with the latest update (iOS 6.1.2) but it gets 30 minutes in to the update and then an error message comes up (error 9006) and it gives me no option but to click ok and it.
I've tried using different USB cables, different ports in my laptop, even uninstalling I Tunes and reinstalling and starting again - nothing seems to work.
I've contacted my network provider who's referred me to Apple but they are closed (I'll try again during business hours).
I'm updating it on my laptop using an internet dongle (as i dont have WIFI - All updates have been done like this and i've never had a problem before) and I have windows 7 software..
Is there anyone who's encountered the same issue?
Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated?

so today i recived my uncles iphone 4s and he has forgotten the itunes password when i put it in recorvey mode it keeps coming up with error 9006 so how do you resolve it

Purchased tv series and trying to download and i keep getting error =9006...help .... I still have 62 downloads that I paid for

Same here - did the latest iTunes update and boy am I glad I did that; haven't been able to run iTunes since. Have re-installed after uninstalling as per one of the other help pages, re-booting, and now instead of getting the above error message I get one that says Apple Application support not found. Please uninstall then reinstall. Apple error 2.
