Help! Itunes music that I bought is missing??

Hey guys I need help. I purchase a lot of music from itunes. I recently bought 50 trance anthems volume 1 and 2. Volume 1 is missing! This just happened recently. In Itunes it keeps saying music cannot be found, would you like to find it? I did hard drive searches.. nothing. It's on my iphone though. What should I do? There is no way I am buying this again.. I spent so much money on it!

The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. This happened to me with the same device. I wouldn't worry about having it just say other as that is just information, if you really need to know what is using the most of your device's storage to to Settings > General > Usage > Manage Storage and that will tell you what apps are using in terms of your storage. Besides that, "other" is just iTunes knowing that there is information, how much there is, just not what it is. So syncing your device a few times and letting it stay plugged in should allow iTunes to recognize what information is on your iPod. Hope I could help!

How do I authorize my computer for music that was bought on an Itunes account that is no longer being used?

So my family used to share an itunes account and I bought music on that account. Now I have my own itunes account and my own ipod but I'm having trouble authorizing my computer to play the music that I bought on this old account. The email address for the account is dead because it was attached to mindspring. So basically how do I get this music without buying it all again?

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:

Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

Sorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications. It's your responsibility to make backup copies (as iTunes itself advises) in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places. If your hard drive was erased and you don't have a backup of your purchased items, and don't have them on an iPod, iPhone or iPad, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
If you have your tracks on an iPod et. al. or have them backed up, post back and someone here can help you get them restored. Otherwise you can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.

are you saying that your computer is autharized from guessing, or do you know it is becuase it says it. in itunes, go to the advanced tab and the last option in that tab should be either aurhorize, or de-authorize. What does it say?
