Help! iTunes not working!

Okay so for the past couple of days i haven't been able to load itunes. I click the icon on my desktop and it never opens up. Everytime i turn off Windows i get a message that says iTunes isn't responding and i have to click "End Now." I've tried reinstalling it but it didn't work. Any help will be much appreciated.

I am afraid your question was not asked very cleary which may put people off answering.
What exactly was the diagnotic test that you ran, and what problem where you tring to solve by doing it. Exact error messages and error numbers if you know them.
Having said that the error message you quote suggests that iTunes has got in a muddle about hwere it supposed to be installing iTunes. The file in question should be going to c:program files\iTunes...
So I suggest you follow the follwoing procedure for complete removal of iTunes and installer cleanup with the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility.
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime

Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program

Now use the following method to remove iTunes and its components:

If you hit a problem with one of the uninstalls don't worry, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method.
Restart your PC.
Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
If it does, install iTunes.

    4. On reinstalling itunes yet again, got, "Programme cannot start because MSVCR80.dll is missing. Try to reinstall programme"

    Hello I have been having a number of issues with itunes not working. When I try to sync my ipad or iphone 4 itunes locks up does not see my devices connected I have to reboot 5 times before I can get them to be seen in itunes. Also when I am able to get itunes to see my ipad it will lock up at backing up ipad. I have removed everything apple and reinstalled and same issue. I am running windows vista 64 bit I don't remember having this problem until the new itunes came out and after I got my iphone 4. Any one have any ideas on how to fix this.

    I had problems uninstalling Apple Mobile Support, I had to repair it first before I could uninstall it. You will have to restart the computer after all the uninstalls, and before reinstalling ITunes. I reinstalled ITunes from the Apple website afterwards (fresh download) ... everything works for me now that I have done this.

  • PSE 10  and Adobe CS6: When running silent install help is not working afterwards

    I'm not sure if this is the correct forum. If not: Please help me find the correct one.
    I have a big issue with Adobe CS6 (and former versions like Photoshop Elements 10): When installing it from DVD running GUI everything is working fine afterwards. If I install e.g. Photoshop Elements 10 using "Silent Installation" help is not working afterwards. It states that it cannot locate the URL. I have not installed AIR and also do not plan to install it.
    I have 'played' a little around with Common Files\Adobe\helpcfg and help directory. Now at least I do not get an error message but still it's not the online help which opens in the browser but the web page that is defined as 'home'.
    The same I see now in Adobe CS6. I have e.g. packaged After Effects and Illustrator and when deploying it I'm not able to open help as well and I fear that this is the same issue.
    Has anyone deeper knowledge about how "helpcfg" is working? Any example files? Any other help appreciated as well.

    @hannilator Have you checked the exceptions folder contents for instructions on how to push to logged off computers? Here's what I get when I package CS6 (DesignWebPrem) and excude AIR/CHC:
    After you have deployed the package, separately install the products in the exception folder.
    IMPORTANT: Before you install the products in the exception folder, refer to the following Adobe Knowledgebase article for information on installing these products and configuring the settings correctly:

    NOTE: The installation commands provided below will work when the user is logged in to the client machine where the package is being deployed. For the scenario where the user is not logged in, prefix the following string to the command:

    You can do it manually too
    1.  Choose function group 'CSDI' via Transaction SE80.
    2.  Choose screen '0260'in the 'Screens' area and switch to change mode
    3.  Choose the 'Element list' tab index.
    4.  In this area, choose the 'Reference' tab index and enter the value
        'PRP' in the 'Search help' column in the line for field
        'RC29N-PSPNR'.
    5.  Save your change and regenerate the screen.
    6.  The correct input help for the WBS element is now available in the
        initial screen of Transaction CS71/72/73.
    I hope F4 helps works for "Existing WBS BOM's" in CS71 after this
    Refer to Note : 714824 as well , it has reverted back the changes done by note : 422265
