Help!!! Just imported 190 of RAW images to APerture 3 images

Help! I just imported 190 new images of RAW photos. There is this message that says This photo was adjusted using an earlier version on Apples RAW processing. The problem is the processing ruined my images. They are very dark with a greenish tint. The strange thing is that it did it to about 90% of my images. I was shooting in continous mode so I have several images which are very similar. One would been processed with the note this image... and the next one would be fine. How do I get my images back to normal. There is a reprocess buttom, but it does not seem to have any effect on the image. I just wont my image back to normal. How they are now they are terrible. I usually don't make huge adjustments to my images only minor changes. I would be grateful for any help. SInce these are images that are priceless. Family vacation pictures to National Parks that we probably wont visit again in our lifetime...

One more thing... When I look at my images in browser mode they look ok. It only when I open the single image that it changes.. For a few seconds it looks fine and then buff... it changes to a dark greensih tint...

a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card --  I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos
Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database

  • Can't import Canon G12 RAW images into iPhoto 6.0.6

unable to import Canon G12 RAW images into iPhoto 6.0.6 (Mac OS-X (10.5.8) - any ideas?

You'll need to install the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.5 - Search the Support/Downloads site for that.
It still may not work. Iphoto 6 is an elderly piece of software now and predates your camera by several years. If it doesn't work you'll need to update to iPhoto 09 or later.

  • Need help with EXIF date on raw images

I have just over 100 images (taken by 2nd shooter) that have the wrong EXIF date (JPEG and raw).  They were taken with a 2nd camera that was off by +15hrs 57min.
There are many programs that will easily edit the EXIF date/time on the JPEGs, but they don't work with the raw images.
I've read that Lightroom can compensate for incorrect dates upon import, but after searching, I can't find any information on how to do it.  Can someone please help?

I got EXIFTool working and solved my problem down to the exact second.
I was able to sync the times to within one second, based on one one particular event.  One shot, taken with camera 1 was right before a handshake, while both people were extending hands, the other shot, with camera 2 (wrong EXIF date) was the actual handshake.  I used this information to determine that camera 2 was 15hours 57minutes 18seconds fast.
Using EXIFTool GUI, I modified the date/time shift to decrement 15hours 57minutes 18seconds for all images from the second camera (both raw and JPEG).  After this was complete, I checked the times, and the two frames (before and during the handshake) were only one second apart, and in correct sequence.
I imported the images from both cameras into Lightroom and had it rename the images based on time down to the second (YYYYMMDDHHMMSS-filename).
    Now everything is great!

  • Lightroom 5.3 won't preview or import Nikon D7100 Raw Images

I'm using LIghtroom 5.3, and raw camera 8.3, the latest update available. I found from Adobe's site that this version supports D7100 raw image imports.  But when trying to import D7100 raw  images, I get a message that "the file is not recognized by the raw format support in LIghtroom."
I'm hoping someone can help with this, as obivously getting help from Adobe is not possible beyond FAQs.
    thanks,
    -Bob

    Bob,
I am using LR 5.3 with D7100 RAW files with no problems, so there should be a solution to your situation.  It might help find a solution if you tell us what computer you have, what OS, the specs, and more importantly, how you are trying to import the files.  Are you connecting the camera directly to the computer?  Are you using a card reader -- internal or external?  Are you copying the files to your hard drive and then importing into LR from there?  At one point in the past, there was a problem with Nikon Transfer somehow changing NEF files so that they wouldn't be read by LR.
As a test, try copying a few NEF files from you memory card to your hard drive using the OS file manager -- Finder or Windows Explorer -- and then try importing into LR.  Does that work?

  • I have a Canon EOS T2i Camera and I want to import the RAW images into Aperture.  How do I import them as RAW images instead of jpeg ?

How do I import RAW images from my Canon EOS T2i camera into Aperture and have them show up as RAW images and not jpeg images?

See the list of supported raw formats:
    http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/raw.html
The footnote ** for the cameras  EOS Rebel T2i EF-S / 550D / Kiss X4**  says, that the raw format is only supported with Aperture 3. So you will have to upgrade to Aperture 3, to be able to import the raw from from your camera.

  • Help with Importing and Editing an Image

    Hello All,
I am working on a project where I need to import an image into LabView and edit it. The gist of my program is that I want to create a VI that generates an interactive floorplan.
I want to be able to import the bitmap or png into my file so I can edit the file by assigning flashing colors to each room, etc.
I tried to import the .png by wiring "Read png" --> "Draw Flattened Pixmap" --> "new picture".
When I run the program I get a "general I/O" error in the "Read PNG" block even though it lets me select which png I can import.
Does LabVIEW 8.5 not allow for importing PNG files? Does anyone have any idea why I am getting this error?
On another note, I was reading about some of the IMAQ VI's and they seem like they may work for importing an image and creating graphics, etc. Should I try to delve a little deeper into the IMAQ stuff?
    Thanks much for the help!

Great call on checking whether it was just a bad file.
I tried to convert it from a .bmp to a .png by simply renaming it which LabVIEW did not like...
So I just opened it up and re-saved it with photo editing software and it worked!
Now I just have to play around with my editing options to get the graphics I want.
I'll post some sample code just for suggestions that anyone may have. This is just my preliminary structure without most of my condition statements. All the code inside the case structures will be added when I figure all this stuff out.
My goal is to have each strobe and interlock correspond to a different graphic on the floorplan. For example, when strobe 1 reads red, I want the corresponding room to flash red and vice versa with green and yellow. Also, when interlock 1 reads false, I want a flashing light to pop up next to the corresponding door.
Anyone have any ideas for how to make these kinds of graphics? I figured I may be able to use a color box for the solid colors and LEDs for the flashing lights but I would rather edit the pixels to make it look more professional.
    Thanks for all the help!

  • Cannot import PowerShot s100 RAW image

I just got Aperture 3.2.1 and tried to import the CR2 images from my PowerShot s100 (new version of s95) but got an "Unsupported Image Format" error after the import, although I was able to see the preview of the same images successfully. Is this and error in the Aperture or the CR2 format is changed on the s100?

The format of the Raw changes with every new model of camera and you'll need to wait for support ot be added for this model.

  • Adobe Camera RAW (All Versions) Import Canon .CR2 / RAW images with an orange / green color cast.

All versions of Adobe Camera RAW including the latest 7.3 import .CR2 images with a greenish / orange color cast.
Tested on 7D, and 5D III
Makes Hardwood floors, and flesh tones look abysmal.
Canon's Digital Photo Professional renders the colors fine, as does ACDSee 5.0 Pro (when viewing)  Exporting from ACDSee however is another story as things look even worse than Adobe.  DPP can export perfectly.
Changes to Color Gammut / Space have little or no effect.

    Good day!
You might want to post on the dedicated Camera Raw Forum.

Also posting some screenshots might help illustrate the issue.

  • Lightroom won't import Canon S100 RAW images

The S100 images lack GPS data when view in Camera Raw, though Canon utility program will display the GPS data.
    ♦♦

This is about downloading CR2 files from an SD card used in a new Canon S100 using Lightroom 2.7 64-bit. Lightroom lists the files and reports "Unknown errors occurred." BridgeCS5will open and display the file, but in Photoshop CS5 the file info does not show GPS data, even though it shows in Canon's Digital Photo Professional software that came with the camera.
Anyone else having this problem? Does the latest Lightroom fix it?

  • Importing Kodak .KDC RAW files into Aperture 2.1.4?

Is there a file format description file I can add to the Application Support folder to get Aperture to read Kodak >KDC raw files? I can open dierct in Adobe PS but would like to use Aperture as an intermediary App to cull and also I sometimes prefer setting some adjustments in Aperture.

Aperture, actually OS X, goes by camera make and model not by file. The reason being that RAW files from the same manufacturer with the same file extension but from different camera models can and often do have different formats.
So it's not possible to talk about adding a certain manufactures file or extension you need to specify the camera make and model. Then you can see what version of Aperture and Camera RAW bundle you need to accomplish that.
See http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/raw.html for the list of RAW cameras currently supported. The only Kodak that shows up is the DCS Pro/SLR n which was supported starting back with Aperture 2 in Tiger or Leopard.

  • LR 4 won't import selected raw images

I just imported approximately 1500 raw images shot with my Nikon D800. Approximately 75 of the files would not import and I got LR4 unable to import message for those files.
All images were NEFs and most seem to be in clusters among the 1500 files.
The images all show up in CS5 Bridge and Camera Raw 6.7 and open just fine in Photoshop CS5. They will show up in LR4 if I convert them to DNGs.
I just figured out that this is happening only with images that were shot at a 16:9 ratio, all other images were shot at the default 2:3 ratio. I would still like to understand why images shot at 16:9 won't show up in LR4.
Any idea what is happening?  Thank you.

    Is it 4.0 or 4.1RC2?
Earlier builds had problems with either Live View or pictures taken during
    video recording.

  • IMPORTING NEF (RAW) IMAGES INTO iPHOTO 6 FROM NIKON D80

I have just got my self a Nikon D80 and find that I cannon import the NEF(RAW) images into iphoto6 - the files are not recognised - if I shoot in jpeg format it is fine
Bit of a disappointment as I was really excited to see what the ophotos would come out like! I have not imported the software that came with the camera - but I didnt think that was necessary.
    Any help gratefully received

    David
What kind of computer do you have? What version of the OS? What version of iPhoto? Have you applied the RAW updates from http://www.apple.com/support/downloads?

  • Fcpx import dng raw image

Fcpx import of a raw image is advertised to work in its help databases, but it actually doesnt work.
I tested the most known and now industry standard Raw format, which is the Adobe DNG raw format, and FCPX ignores the embedded jpg preview .
i tried older versions of the Adobe DNG Raw formats imports , and also tried to update the embedded preview images to all variations offered by the adobe Dng raw converter , but even all those tests showed that FCPX is ignoring the previews of these now industry standard RAw images.
needless to say that it is likely that none of the other lesser important raw formats, like the CR2 from Canon or others will not work.
this here is a message to the Apple FCPX developpers , who seems to think a Formula one car can drive with just 3 wheels....

    This is your first paragraph.
I simply wanted to confirm the same behavior in CR2, but never mind.

  • AE CS5.5 can't import RAW image sequence

    Hi all,
I'm running a late 2011 imac full spec, with a CS5.5 retail version.
If I try to import a RAW (CR2) image sequence I get the following error: After Effects error: Photoshop file format error (-30504)
I updated AE and all other relevant software. It works when I tried it in AE CS6 (trial), it works when I convert the CR2 files to DNG files but I just want to be able to import a CR2 RAW image sequence.
Googling and searching the forums didn't help one bit.
If anyone has any advice that'd be much appreciated!
    Regards,
    Matthew
