Help! Just updated my daughter's nano with new software version 1.1.1
And now I'm getting no display, just a blank white screen. She's had it since Christmas and it was working fine before I updated. I've tried restoring it twice to no avail. Has this happened to anybody else and how to I resolve?
Although this article refers to the iPod 5th gen, it's worth a try.

Itunes won't update nano with new software version
Since the new software update has become available (which I'm hoping might fix my multiples in cover flow issue) I've tried on multiple occasions over a few days to download and install the update on my new nano 4th Gen.
It goes through the licence agreement bit and says it's downloading and will instal when it's done. However after a few minutes it gives an error message that the connection with the itunes server has timed out. It says check your connections and such but all is fine, even itunes own diagnostic connection test is all fine.
I've even tried the restore option but that just dies on it's attempt to get new software too and doesn't get anywhere.
I'm pretty good with computers but this one's now got me stumped.
Anyone got any ideas?Are you using a dial-up or broadband internet connection? If your using a dial-up connection, that might be your problem. If your using a broadband connectin and your getting this problem, you might just want to contact technical support.

Just tried to upgrade to SnowLeopard with newly purchased software disc. iLife failed to download and when I tried to restart the computer, it will not do so--just get a grey screen with the lines going around and around. Any ideas about how to get it to start?

This is a brand new machine that I just purchased from Apple. It was delivered yesterday
The old computer is an old PowerMac G5, but my OS X install disc is a retail version of 10.5.
I also tried the OS X 10.5 install disc that came with my MacBook Pro (2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Dual).
Same issue - nothing but a grey screen when the system tries to boot from the DVD -
I am wanting to update my Iphone 3GS to the newer version IOS 6.1.3, but is afraid I might lose all of my photos including my wedding photos, apps and all of my contacts? How can I make sure I will not lose my photos, apps, contacts and all of my passwords. Is there a easier way in order not to lose anything? HELP!!!!
Although included with the iPhone's backup, all photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

Although contacts are also included with the iPhone's backup, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer, and/or there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts and other data over the air.
All iTunes content - all music, movies, tv shows, tones, audio and print books, and 3rd party apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer.
Settings, passwords, etc. are also included with the iPhone's backup, but so is a significant amount of other data. There is always the change some of the data included with the backup is corrupt or cannot be restored from the backup. -

Having a slight panic. I just updated my iphone 4s to the new software...was transferring my photos to my iphoto app on my macbook. I then realised that ALL of my recent photos (including albums) were no longer in my camera roll etc....
I cannot remember if I backed up before doing so (pretty sure I did) but I have tried using Wondershare Dr.Fone to recover them as well as searching my backup library on my macbook.
They MUST be somewhere?! Can anyone help??
I realised suddenly when all the recent 100s of photos on my iPhoto were blank...!

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues after updating your iPhone to iOS 7.0.6. If you have not already done so, you may want to restart or reset the device:

I just updated to ps cc 2014 with help from a chat person and all of my actions have disappeared how can i find them?
Do you still have your old version of Photoshop loaded? You need to open that, and save your actions so that you can open them in 2014.

If you are experiencing difficulties with the connection between your stereo and device, disconnect the device, and then power cycle the stereo and your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. When the Home screen reappears, reconnect your device. If you cannot power cycle the stereo, turn the car off and then back on to allow the stereo to power off.

Just updated my daughter's iPod touch to iOS 5. It wiped out all content on the iPod touch, and now I can't locate the "notes" to restore. She spent all summer creating these notes, and is very upset. I've tried iPhone Backup Extractor. Any suggestions?
Everything should have been backed up on the computer you restore it on. Plug it back in that computer, open iTunes, click on the iPod touch icon on the left frame of iTunes, hold your Control key down and select "Restore from Backup"

I have just updated my i phone 4s with the new ios 6 software and most of my apps have disapeared when i got to the app store and search for an app i cant find i click on it and it says the app is installed. but i cant find it in my apps if i double click on it it opens. Any ideas?

Please the first thing you should do is to restart your device. Go the sleep wake button and hold down on it for 4-5 seconds waiting for the 'slide to shut off' message to appear. Once the device is turned off go ahead and restart the device. If this does not resolve the issue then go to the area on the front of your device to the app that reads 'settings' from settings>general>reset>reset network settings. Clicking on reset network settings will not erase any data only will reset the network settings apart of your iphone., Once the reset has completed you will then need to go back to settings to wi/fi and plug in the name and password of your wi/fi prior to using it.

When updating my iphone with new software it came up on screen with the cable and itunes sign (which is what I should get when restoration has been completed) yet it is still saying restore. I have tried 3 times and the screen won't change. HELP!
If the sign does not go away it has not completed the restore. So you are incorrect when you say it "keeps completing the restore" if that message is still displayed.
Do you get an error message? If so, what is the error number?
