HELP!! Keychains folder X509 was deleted
a Keychains folder that contained the X509 certificates was accidentally deleted. I now cannot use Mail. How can I get this back on my system correctly?
Copy it from your backup. Don't have one? Arrrrgh. Reinstall the 10.4.8 COMBO update. If that doesn't add it back in, then you might be looking at doing an Archive & Install installation. See http://www.apple.com/support/tiger/install/ for details.

My public_html folder disappeared/was deleted
I have backed up all the files from a previous point. Is there any way I can "revive" the public_html folder and add in all the files from the earlier version?
If your public_html folder has disappeared or been deleted, then this has nothing to do with iWeb. It is solely the responsibility of your hosting provider and you to get it restored, you really need to contact them about it. You could have deleted it yourself by mistake, but you need to contact your host to get the folder restored and then you can publish from iWeb to a local folder and upload your site as normal by using whichever ftp programme that you use to upload your site.

I accidentally erased my keychain passwords, how can I replace it? ( I was in the keychains folder on the password link when i pressed delete). I thought I was deleting one account but it deleted everything. I now keep getting pop-ups asking me for a keychain password...which I don't remember ever creating.
Try running Keychain Access/First Aid and resetting the original keychain.

Why would you make a new account? This will likely cause many problems. Just get you old account enabled.

My wife just received a new Mac Book Air...and while learning to use the mouse pad deleted an important folder off her icloud mail. I'm presuming I can use time machine to go back and recover it, but am not seeing that folder there. I've checked on icloud through the web and the folder is gone there. Just need some direction on how to recover it. Thank you.
Time Machine is the correct method, just roll back in time to a point before the folder was deleted.

How do I stop my ipad from referencing an old apple id? My old Apple ID was my old email address. I contacted Apple and it was deleted by an Apple representative months ago. Whenever I try to "update" my ipad (games etc.) it always references my "old apple id" which I no longer have a password for or have any access too..help
Problem is...I do NOT know the password for this "old" apple id. I haven't used this apple id in over 1 year and it "suddenly" started to show up. I can NOT update or down load any updates without knowing the old apple id's password either. I am getting help. I was able to contact tech support and they are in the process of helping me within an email reply to "reset" my password from that old Apple id, in the next 24 hours.
Thank you all for your help! I hope we are able to resolve this issue. Again, it is very odd that my "old" email or original Apple ID decided to appear after such a long span. I will keep you all posted as to how it was resolved when I hear back via an email. -

If you don't have Time Machine enabled on your Mac you'll need to use a file recovery applicaiton like SubrosaSoft FileSalvage. FileSalvage had a demo mode to let you know what it can find and recover before you have to purchase it. However, it won't be able to recover the folder, only the files in the folder.
Other possible file recovery applications can be found at MacUpdate.com by searching there for "file recovery".

You could restore from your backup, but there is no way to locate an item you cannot identify that you deleted.

Need help with my AppleID. I need to know how to change my rescue email. My emaill acct that I used for my AppleID was deleted so I tried to change it to my primary email address and it states I cannot use it because it is my rescue email address.
You can't send the reset email to your primary email address, it can only be sent to your rescue email account. If you can't get access to that email account then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

Contents of download folder was deleted and overwritten.
i upgraded to ff 34.0.5 yesterday. folder f:\downloads is the default download folder for my previous ff.
what happened next is something deleted all my folders and files in the f:\downloads folder and the worst part is all those folders and files are irrecoverable using undelete softwares (all my files and folders were delibrately overwritten. total more than 30GB of data). my folders and files were there yesterday before i upgraded ff.
what was found in f:\downloads now was deleted firefox components files only.
my folders and files were not only deleted but were overwritten all 30GB too. this is not an accident but a planned delibrate irresponsible action.

Hello All, I have recently made the switch to all things Apple and still feel quite the rookie so hoping I can find help here! I'm a bit in shock as 0f now because my entire music libra was deleted by accident and I am completely stuck as to what to do now..I just got the 4s and haven't transferred much music over at all..I figured i could just export it all back but to my Mac...Any advice guys , is it even possible?

I have 2 Company ipads. They were set up by someone who has left the company. His email address was deleted when he left - so we cannot send a recovery email request. He connected both iPads to 'find my iphone' - and we cant locate his mobile! help!
If you have the original receipts, you can take them to an Apple Store and they may be able to remove the activation lock. A good lesson learned to have an employee clear a device when leaving.
