Help: krtld error - amd64 kernel failing to load

Greetings,
I'm running the SXDE 1/08 snv_79b X86 release of Solaris and the amd64 bit kernel is suddenly failing to load, instead I get the message:
krtld: bind_primary() : no relocation information found for module /platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix
krtld: error during initial load/link phase
krtld could neither locate nor resolve symbols for :
/platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix
in the boot archive. Please verify that this file matches what is found inthe boot archive.
You may need to boot using the solaris failsafe to fix this.
Unable to boot.
Press any key to reboot.
The menu.lst boot parameters are:
kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix
module$ /platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive
where $ISADIR = amd64
I can boot into 32 bit okay still but will need to get 64 bit working again.
Can someone please advise me on what I need to do to fix this?
Thanks :)
John

It has happened again.
It seemed to fix itself the first time but has encountered exactly the same error.
Does anyone have any ideas?
BTW I'm actually running the SXDE 1/08 snv_79a X86 release of Solaris not 79b

John

    Though below note is not applicable to you, i would suggest you to check if the destination is created by the configuration wizard? If not you can create one and see if it helps.
    Create Java RFC destination XI_EXCHANGE_PROFILE manually: Navigate to http://[host]:[port]/nwa --> Configuration --> Infrastructure --> Destinations. Create the RFC Destination with PILDUSER as logon user.

    Hello fivelemmondrops:
    Since no one answered to our question, I did my research and finally could solve the problem. You should go to any site which offers dll files and download the palmdevc. I did it here, for free: http://www.dlllab.com/palmdevc.dll_download.html
    Then you should copy the file in your System 32 folder, and run the uninstall program again. I did it and it uninstalled successfully. I hope it works for you too.

  • CR VS 2013 error: Additional information: Failed to load database information.

    We have VS 2008 (V9.0.30729.1 SP1) using .Net 3.5 under Windows Server 2003 R2 Data Center Edition. VS 2008 came with Crystal Reports Version 10.5.3700.0. We developed a little report in a winform to run against Oracle 11gR2 using the OLE DB support in the CR Report Wizard in the VS 2008 IDE. It was a standard report with some code to print the report directly to the printer with out the viewer control. Here is the working code:
    Imports System.Data.OleDb
    Imports System.Data
    Imports System
    Imports System.Windows.Forms
    Imports CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
    Imports CrystalDecisions.Shared
    Public Class Form1
        Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
            Dim crReportDocument As New CrystalReport1()
            Dim DataSet1 As DataSet
            Dim adoOleDbConnection As OleDbConnection
            Dim adoOleDbDataAdapter As OleDbDataAdapter
            Dim connectionString As String = ""
            connectionString = "Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle;"
            connectionString += "Data Source=OURDBNAME;"
            connectionString += "User ID=OURUSERID;Password=OURPSW"
            adoOleDbConnection = New OleDbConnection(connectionString)
            Dim sqlString As String = ""
            sqlString = "SELECT * FROM edi_filing_source_lov where filing_source_code in ('A','E')"
            adoOleDbDataAdapter = New OleDbDataAdapter(sqlString, adoOleDbConnection)
            DataSet1 = New DataSet()
            adoOleDbDataAdapter.Fill(DataSet1, "edi_filing_source_lov")
            crReportDocument.Database.Tables(0).SetDataSource(DataSet1)
            crReportDocument.PrintOptions.PrinterName = "HP_LaserJet_4350_PCL_5e_Info_Tech"
            crReportDocument.Refresh()
            crReportDocument.PrintToPrinter(1, False, 1, 99)
            Me.Close()
        End Sub
    End Class
    We want to migrate this report to VS 2013. We installed VS 2013 Professional (V12.0.30110.00 Update 1) under Windows Server 2012 R2 Data Center Edition. We downloaded CRforVS_13_0_9 and installed it in VS 2013. We moved the project from VS 2008 and opened it under VS 2013. It looks like it converted OK. When we run it we get the following error:
    An unhandled exception of type 'System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException' occurred in CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll
    Additional information: Failed to load database information.
    Error in File temp_f11eb1be-db98-4d33-800c-4db3b36ab14e {EEB2A9E4-8239-49CB-B016-8CE4F4C7643E}.rpt:
    Failed to load database information.
    More information: We can step through the wizard in VS 2013 using the standard template and add a report viewer control to the form and point it at the report and run it just fine in the VS 2013 IDE when there is no code in the form1_load event. We feel we have the Oracle.DataAccess.dll for the 11.2.0 client installed and tested correctly on the server and do not feel there is an issue with data base installation. When we add back the code above to the form1_load event and run it we get the error above.
    We have the logger set up but nothing gets added to the log files.
    We have tried three different ways to set the data source to resolve the error that is occurring at this line of code that is failing but with no luck:
    crReportDocument.Database.Tables(0).SetDataSource(DataSet1)
    crReportDocument.SetDataSource(DataSet1)
    crReportDocument.Database.Tables(0).SetDataSource(DataSet.Tables("edi_filing_source_lov"))
    Do you have any other suggestions we could try?
    Bruce

    Hi Bruce
    In my experience, the only reason for the error is that the there is an issue with the dataset and as a back up sort of a thing, the report engine is attempting to connect to the database the report was created off of. To test the dataset with the report, see this wiki on how to.
    Also, ensure that you have a look at this KBA.

  • Photoshop CS4 for Mac What can cause the error: Plug-in failed to load - NO VERSION

    With Photoshop CS4 for Mac I install the Kodak Plug-in DIGITAL GEM Airbrush Professional v2.1.0. When Photoshop starts I get an error:
    Plug-ins that failed to load:
       DIGITAL GEM Airbrush Professional v2.1.0 NO VERSION -  - from the file “DigitalAIRProv2.plugin”Flash:
       Connections
       Kuler
    This plug-in works fine on my Mac Pro with Photoshop CS4 and OS 10.6 but fails on a new Macbook Air.
    Reinstalling the plug-in did not make any difference. What can cause this error?

    Thanks Chris, That was my first thought too but this same plug-in works on another installation of CS4. This is a Mac installation and the plug-in is Universal so it should work. Is there any other possible cause for this error? Would Photoshop refuse to load a plug-in in a low memory situation?
    Also, The Flash extensions:Connections and Kuler are working OK, I just copied a little more out of the System Info report than I needed to.

    Edit the deployment profile with the "Settings" context menu option and then under "JAR Options" make sure "Include Manifest..." is checked and then put the main class in "Main Class". Example: com.foo.myapp.Application1

    It looks like its still using SQL 2005 DTEXEC.exe instead of latest version.

  • Forms ERROR - FRM-18107: Failed to load the DE context for the module

    I have recently installed Oracle 10g (10.2.0) which is up and running fine (WinXP).
    I then installed Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2).
    When I try to open Forms I get the following error;
    'FRM-18107: Falied to load the DE context for the module'
    I have;
    DRIVE:oracle/product/10.2.0/oradb
    DRIVE:oracle/product/10.2.0/devsuite
    Can anyone advise?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello All,
    I would like to know more about the FRM-18107 error. I have tried getting rid of the error by altering my windows environment variable ORACLE_HOME, and going through numerous websites. But still no luck. I am about to de-install Forms 10g rel2 using the OUI. But I plan on leaving oracle 10g database on the system. Hope this will not cause any conflict. Also do I need to do anything in the registry after de-installation of forms 10g.Or is there any order of installation, i.e Do i need to install forms 10g before oracle 10g database.
    PLs also let me know if i will need to download any pathch for this to be sorted. But I didn't think so because during installation i noticed a few patches were being put to place as part of forms 10g rel2. Does it still needs a patch for it to work and get rid of the FRM-18107 error? If so, what is the name of the patch and how do i apply the patch. Pls let me know. Any comment on this will be well appreciated and valuable.
    Thanks.
    Cheers
    Aj

  • Please Help! ERROR: Application Server failed. when Refreshing

    Please help on this below issue. Thanks.
    We have a requirement that using ASP.NET (C#), we need to open saved .rpt file (saved with data and the rpt file is assigned to the web page as query string) and let the users refresh themselves with latest data by clicking at refresh icon of the CrystalReportViewer. But it throws 'The Report Application Server failed' error message. What could cause this message. below is the piece of code we are using to configure the report.
    private void ConfigureCrystalReports()
    string reportPath = Server.MapPath("Reports
    SEMS0001_UBS.rpt");
    this.CrystalReportSource2.ReportDocument.Load(reportPath);
    CrystalReportViewer1.Visible = false;
    SetDBLogonForReport(this.CrystalReportSource2.ReportDocument);
    int i = 0;
    foreach (ParameterField field in this.CrystalReportSource2.ReportDocument.ParameterFields)
    field.HasCurrentValue = true;
    //this.CrystalReportSource2.ReportDocument.Refresh();
    CrystalReportViewer1.ParameterFieldInfo = this.CrystalReportSource2.ReportDocument.ParameterFields;
    CrystalReportViewer1.Visible = true;
    public void SetDBLogonForReport(ReportDocument reportDocument)
    Tables tables = reportDocument.Database.Tables;
    connectionInfo.ServerName = "server"; //ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBServer"];
    connectionInfo.UserID = "user"; //ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBUser"];
    connectionInfo.Password = "passwd"; //XsiteWinRpt.ConnUtil.GetOnlyPasswordOfConnString(); //ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBPassword"];
    //foreach (CrystalDecisions.Shared.IConnectionInfo connection in reportDocument.DataSourceConnections)
    // connection.SetConnection(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBServer"], "", ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBUser"], ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBPassword"]);
    // connection.SetLogon(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBUser"], ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBPassword"]);
    foreach (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table table in tables)
    TableLogOnInfo tableLogonInfo = table.LogOnInfo;
    tableLogonInfo.ConnectionInfo = connectionInfo;
    table.ApplyLogOnInfo(tableLogonInfo);
    //reportDocument.Database.Tables[0].ApplyLogOnInfo(tableLogonInfo);

    Attaching full code ... Our case is the RPT files are stored wih default parameters and saved data. We need to let users just refresh the rpt files with latest db data and overwrite with the same rpt files. But this code keep showing The application server failed mesg. when the refresh icon of viewer is clicked.
    Attaching the code as it is not properly attached in my previous reply ...

  • Need help with error message after failed iSync: Leopard and Palm OS

    I recently upgraded to a new computer which came with Leopard installed. In my old computer, Tiger OS, all was well when syncing to my Palm device.
    I tried going from handheld to desktop with slow synch turned on in iSync and now I get this message re: failure--
    "iSync Conduit starting 9/6/08 8:21:12 AM
    Timeout waiting for Sync Engine, exiting 9/6/08 8:27:31 AM
    iSync Conduit synchronization failed
    “iSync Conduit” failed (error = #-2)"
    Any ideas--please help.

    I wish you success.
    I have an older Palm, the Zire. Once I got the most recent Palm software and chose, at least for now, to use iSync, I haven't noticed any problems.
    Since I haven't used the "T" family of Palms, I can only guess that the process is much the same as with the Zire. You can disable the MAc syncing, move your currently disabled conduits back into Palm syncing, reinstall what Palm lists as your most recent software (and make sure all of your calendar and contacts info is just as you want it), do a sync through the HotSync Manager (ignoring iCal). I'd do a restart just to clear the system. It appears there is a warning note on resetting the iSync history, so you might not want to do that but just manually clean up any inconsistencies in iCal before you try once again.
    [I actually wanted to just accept my Palm calendar so trashed my iCal calendar after some questionable syncs, but you can do an export to save the iCal calendar before you wipe it out.]
    But my impression is that to get pass the messages you initially wrote up, you'll have to ask the Palm discussions folks for help. They are very helpful.

    Itunes showed me that an newer version of Itunes was available. after downloading  i get an error message "This application has failed to start because MSVR80.dll was not found..Re-installing the application may fix this problem.  I then uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled and get  another error mess that itunes was not installed correctly "error 7(windows error 126)"
    I ran an sfc/scannow which i am shown that "  resource protection found corrupt files and was unable to fix some of them"
    How do i get the missing msvcr80.dll.

  • Error: QuickTime Streaming failed to load because it is already loaded

    This error message repeats continously. Any suggestions?

    I have struggled with the same problem for the last few years and could not find any adequate answers. Being a person who likes to run his PC clean and mean, I had stopped all those Apple Itunes / Quicktime applets and deleted Itunes application as I preferred other Media players & converters. Recently my Nokia 6300 phone suite would send me the same error every song I moved from PC to phone. The clue was that I had chosen Optimised AAC format instead of stock standard MP3. Working on this hunch, I re-activated Apple's Software Update from the Scheduled Tasks items of Control Panel to update Quicktime, Itunes and Safari. Now I have AppleMobileDeviceService.exe, iPodService.exe, iTunesHelper.exe all running and I do not get the error anymore. There is also the Bonjour (DNSResponder.exe) service to be considered. See:-

  • Teststand error states that a vi failed to load in the Labview Run-Time Engine

    I am getting an error in teststand that states that a vi failed to load in the Labview Run-Time Engine version '14.0.1'
    If I look at the software loaded on my system with the NI Measurement and Automation Explorer I have Labview Run Time engines for version 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, & 2014 on my system.
    How do I get this VI to run on this system when it is called by test Stand?
    Thank you

    The RTE 14.0 was loaded as part of my deployment and after I ran this I got an update notice for the F1 patch which I also loaded.
    I do not have labview loaded on this system, only the run time engines from running my deployment.
    When I launch t he teststand sequence, when it calls the labview VI, I get the following error moessage:
    Error: Failed to load VI 'C:\builds\RelayVoltageMeaure.vi' in the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine version '14.0.1'. LabVIEW: The VI is not executable. This error may occur because the VI is either broken or contains a subVI that LabVIEW cannot locate. Select File>>Open to open the VI and verify that you can run it. VI Path: C:\builds\RelayVoltageMeaure.vi[Error Code: -17600, Failed to load a required step's associated module. ]
    I have attached the teststand sequence if this helps.
    Thanks
