HELP?! LED Notification Light

Can anyone tell me if there is an application that allows you to turn OFF the blinking green LED notification light on the Droid X??  Thanks!

"Ringo" has settings to change color of notification led and I believe there also is a option to disable it.
UPDATE:  VERIFIED - this option is in Ringo Pro..

  • Led notification lights

I have an 8300 Curve (T-Mobile) and am having trouble with the LED notification lights. When I have a message or call, it blinks red but only for a while. If I get a call at night when it is on silent, it is not blinking in the morning so I don't know I have messages unless I activate teh screen by clicking on the ball or other button. Anybody have a solution to this?
    Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Try BB Alerts for extending the message notifications.
    Thanks,

I didn't"t see it in Blackberry App World, so here is a link:

  • How long Q10 LED notification light keep flashing ?

My Q10 LED notification light will begin flashing when a Call , E-mail or any comes in, but after a about 15 minutes it stops flashing. My previous is 9700, its LED keep flashing until you read or checked at the notification. Because this helpfull when we wait for important e-mail or event you can E-mail come in after you leave your phone for a while. I have tried tap the top button for 30 second, I think it not the way and not work for me. So I am wondering, how long is the LED supposed to keep flashing on the Q10? and is this normal ?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The LED on all BB devices has always timed out after about 15 minutes or so. I had the 9700 and it timed out for me, as well, so I'm not sure why you say it was any different on the 9700.

  • Flip (8220) LED notification light duration and control problems

As I've read on the boards with regards to other models, the red LED notification light stops working after exactly 15 minutes. T-mobile customer service was unable to find a way to extend this so that it keeps flashing until I check the message. And so, after consulting the boards, I downloaded the BBAlerts app from handango. But the desktop Manager doesn't pick it up as a suitable app for my device.
    Any suggestions?

This is a problem with all BB's!  The message lights always revert back to green after a certain amount of time.  It was one of my main complaints when I got the curve!  I know it's stupid...it makes no sense but you have to complain to BB.

  • I have  a iphone 5 and i can not figure out how to turn on the LED notification light. is this even possable? if not how do i know if i missed a call when i was not there to answer it visualy

If you were not there, how would you see the led?
Anyway missed calls will appear on your Lock screen under the Missed tab.
Or a small red numbered badge will appear on the Phone App icon when you have missed calls. You can then access the Recents Tab in the Phone App to see whcih calls were missed.
Missed Calls are shown in red there

  • LED Notification Light Constantly Blinks

My D2Global is falling apart. First the home key went on the fritz as well as part of the touchscreen. Now out of nowhere the notification light is constantly blinking when the phone is on lock. I powered off, powered on - still blinking. I turned off and pulled out the battery, turn it back on - still blinking.
I don't have any new apps installed. No messages or notifications to check. I don't know what's going on.This has never happened before. It's only just year and 2 weeks old.

    Hello amourti85,
I hate that you are experiencing these problems with your Motorola Droid 2 Global device.  I would like to assist.
First, a few questions to help determine the root cause of the problems.  Did you notice the issues after downloading any specific applications?  If so, I suggest removing the applications and testing the Home key again.  Also, in regards to the unknown LED notification, check your call history / Recent calls to see if this will eliminate the LED blinking.
Please let me know the results of your testing.
    Thanks,

  • LED notification light

To all you razr/ razr maxx owners: Is the notification light supposed to blink on missed calls and messages until you wake the phone again? My notification light blinks once only, and I cannot find anywhere within settings where you can adjust the settings of the LED light.

I don't remember if mine blinks on missed calls but if there's email it will continue to blink until I use the pull down notification or check the email.  Simply unlocking the screen does not stop the blinking.  The light is green.
For messaging I use Go SMS Pro and have set it up within the app to blink red.  I don't know off hand what the stock text messaging app does.
I don't have very fancy needs with notification lights, but Light Flow is highly recommended by others who want a lot of controls in that area.

  • HTC One M8 Led notification light

just got the new HTC One and the led does not flash when i get a notification like a text or email. all those options are checked in the settings under Display

Safe mode test completed using app "LED Tester" (as Light Flow couldn't be found in safe mode although App Manager indicates it is installed). LED did not work on any color chosen.
Just to make sure all of my attempts to solve are in this thread:
ensured all notification setting were set as per B33 link above and tested with Light Flow and LED Tester
never tested with charger plugged in
factory reset, clearing everything that was installed and avoided setting up Google creds so as to not install apps from my profile and tested with Light Flow and  LED Tester apps
safe mode and tested with LED Tester
To date (took delivery 2 days after VW made online purchase available to the public) the only time the LED has illuminated is when charging showing either orange or green (depending on charge state).
BTW, thank you AdaS_VZW for proactively reaching out to help. Very happy with that!

  • HTC One M8: Notification Light

I just got the HTC One M8 two days ago and I just realized that the LED notification light is not working when I receive messages, emails, etc.  It only works when charging.
    HELP!

I found the solution on another forum (may have been mentioned here too) I had to do a factory reset on my phone and did not restore my applications/sign into Google. Sure enough, the notification light starting working. I am now downloading my apps again...unfortunately they do not restore after you complete the setup wizard then sign into Google so I am having to search and download each app one at a time.
Prior to the reset, I did disable Verizon Messages and cleared all the data/cache, confirmed the system messaging app was the default and confirmed the all notifications were checked under display and gestures but it still did not work.
I am also reading in other forums HTC is aware of this issue so hopefully it can be fixed without a reset.

  • LED Flash light notification

I can't turn off the LED Flash light notification even though it is turned off from the settings. I did restore the IOS again but it's still there. Does anyone know how to stop it.

try a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, wait for phone to boot back up.

  • LED Notifications?

    Hi,
I've got my blackberry bridge setup and fully working, however I do not recieve LED notification on my playbook when an email comes through. Or any other LED notification for that matter. I was expecting a blinking blackberry style notification system, is this currently a feature?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

When you get a notification, the PlayBook will show a pulsing red light in the top-left corner of the screen.
The LED on the front is not used for notifications.

  • Notification light gone after Lollipop

I updated to Android 5.0 this weekend and even did a factory reset and now I have no LED notifications of any kind.  In looking around it looks like I'm not the only one.  Are there any fixes for this?

That is very strange, powerplaygraphi. Let's see if we can help get the lights working again.
Just in case, if you run your phone in Safe Mode, do they return for any apps?

  • The E51 notification light is always on

    Dear
Since yesterday morning the notification light of my E51 mobile is on. It only turns off when I remove the battery. As soon as I put the battery back, the light is on (even without switching on my mobile). What could I do to turn it off?
     I already tried several things:
software update from 200 to 300
turning off the use of the notification light for missed calls etc.
changing the time the notification light should blink (although it does not blink at the moment, it is just always on).
BTW: Should it be possible to construct a small Java application that turns off the notification light?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best regards

That's exactly the same problem, I guess. I tend to say it's a hardware problem.
In the service station they told me that this can be caused by some kind of moisture damage. Since it is quite expensive to let them check (and possibly repair) your mobile phone, I decided to buy a T6 screwdriver and to check it myself. I found some small oxidation/moisture stains, so I think the guys of the service station were right. Maybe we can try something else to turn it off forever? Breaking up the led light is quite hard, since it is very small. Please let me know if you've find a solution to this annoying problem. I'll do the same.
Good luck with your battery (that's really a problem indeed!)
    Kind regards
    Geert
