Help!!! Less than 90 days with my 30 gb and my LCD cracked by itself!!!!!!!

I was using my 30gb i pod with video yesterday and it was working fine. I have never dropped it and it has never been hit or abused. It doesn't even have a scratch(I take good care of it, I clean it, etc.) I have had it for less 3 months (aprox 81 days). So as I was saying. I was using it yesterday, on a docking radio that I have. Later that night, when I turned it on, it had a hairline crack that diagonally crosses the screen!!! It appeared by itself. My question is, This has to be covered by the Warranty, right?!?! It happened by itself, my i pod is defective... What should I do? Go to the store that I bought it from or (since I live in PR) go to an authorized retailer and service center....since I cant get repairs directly from apple by mail.....thanx peepz....help me out!!!!

When I bought my Third Ipod there were very small cracks that spread radially from the dial out in a star pattern. They dont interfere with the function but are a nuisance. I mailed the Ipod in for warranty and Apple so surprisingly mis-diagnosed the problem I was confused. This was the response:

It is now being returned to you, and you should expect to receive it within two business days along with a letter that provides details about our assessment as well as useful troubleshooting tips.
AppleCare services was useless, wish I could help you out but I wouldnt waste my time with warrenty.

    1 alternative approach is as follows:
    Step 1: Ensure your absence type have already been mapped to an absence valuation rule
    Step 2: In your absence valuation rule, (goto SM30 > V_t554c), assign a new wage type to capture the number of days
                 The wage type in step 2 should be created such that its attributes is to help your capture number of days of your unpaid
                 absence type when it is evaluated by your payroll schema
    Final Step: You should be able to capture half day absences with such a wage type when you run your payroll calculations
    Should you need to utilize such a wage type for subsequent calculation processing in your payroll schema, you may have to develop your own customer payroll calculation rules to do so

    I have the exact same problem.  I did the update on my iPhone 5 yesterday, opted for the iCloud set up in the update and then it wiped my contacts.  They are not on my phone or in the cloud...

    Kindly suggest if anyone of you had this issue and how it is handled? Is there any OSS related to this.
    The coverage profile field in the MRP-2 view of Material Master is based on Min, Target and Max coverages defined in days.
    This is leading business to maintain more inventory than needed which does not serve any purpose by using the dynamic safety stock.
    What business needs is the Min, Target and Max coverages are all to be defined in terms of less than a day. So that inventories are maintained at the optimal level.
    SAP has come up with safety time period profile with option of safety time less than a day. The way it works is based on time not by quantity. It simply moves the planning of the material by the amount
    of time specified.
    Other than this do we have any OSS which can fix this issue.
    To use the repetetive mfg planning table and to see the target stock, coverage profiles need to be defined for all materials. This target stock is needed for business to make a decision on how much quantity to run the production for each SKU.
    Can anyone suggest how can we proceed on this.
    I hope I am clear in presenting my issue.

    I have already tested with safety time period profile; but the way it works is it moves the ordering dates ahead by the amount of time we define in safety time and safety time % fields in the period profile.
    Also with this set up when we come to planning table(MF50) we cannot see the target stock. For these materials the system calculates the actual range of coverage but not target stock.
    In our business scenario; we need target stock value in deciding on the production quantity.
    Regarding MRP resolution - did you mean we can run MRP only once in a day?

  • How is it I purchased a brand new phone less than 30 days ago and when defective I'm given a used phone and find a replacement sent slow mail?

    I opened an account with added lines with Verizon about Nov 14th. Not 30 days has passed and yesterday in the middle of using my fully charged HTC One M8 Windows phone the screen went dark. I can hear incoming service but of course the phone is useless.
    I was promised a replacement and told by the tier 2 support person last night that the replacement would be out overnight. I checked earlier and no status was available, and I checked now after waiting today for the phone, and now I see the phone was not sent overnight, and further that I will be sent a "like new" used replacement. I paid a substantial down payment and will be continuing to pay the new phone price, but now I am being given a used phone though still paying for new.
    I am really unhappy about how this less than 30 day customer who is not going to a discount carrier is getting treated. Someone credited me for the few days service I am out...but that still does not resolve the used phone issue. Is this something I need to take up with the BBB?

    Sucks, but it is in the contract you signed. Within 14 days, return the phone and get a new one, after 14 days, it is a used phone and gets replaced with a used phone. I had this happen to me, felt a bit cheated, but you know what, that phone lasted the entire rest of the contract without issues and continued to work when I passed it on to family.
    The only alternative would be to work directly with HTC, the manufacturer of the phone and try to get a new replacement. However, almost every company does exactly what Verizon does in this situation. Since Verizon is keeping to the terms of the agreement you both agreed to, the BBB will not see any problem and not have any reason to act.

    That's certainly possible via usual OB28 validation. Define your prerequisites for the posting date (you will have to do it via user-exit (bkpf-budat greater then sy-datum less 7 days) , and check whether the user is in the set.

    Sure enough...
    The 90 day period basically applies for telephone support if you don't have Apple Care (a three year apple hardware/apple software coverage that would be similar to an extended warranty for your TV) with the outstanding feature that you have unlimited telephone support for the entire 3 year period beginning when your Mac was first purchased.
    Your situation is similar to mine: I bought my MBP this august and just (literally) bought the 2TB TC. So the three year period began when the Mac was purchased and will run out when the MBP reaches it's exact 3 year anniversary. I went 4 or 5 levels above the sales staff and reached an individual at Apple whose exact title is: Sales & Service Management Representive. The first question I asked was is my TC covered under Apple Care and for how long, etc.: as the TC (as well as the MBP) have only a limited1 year warranty without Apple Care.
    If you've been following the posts on this exact site and several others, you'll see many upon many TC's experience a premature death around 18-24 months. So IMHO I think Apple Care is a good deal: coverage for your Mac as well as the TC (double coverage).
    On a lighter note something like double your pleasure double your fun: Xerox your paycheck!

    My E50 has started draining the battery in less than a day. IN fact, it lasts roughly 10 hours and that is assuming nobody actually calls me.
    I have:
    - bluetooth off
    - screen off almost all the time
    - autlock installed to lock the device down
    - nothing running except the "standby" page
    I do use Exchange Activesync, and that does suck a lot of power - but even so 10 hours is ridiculous, not too long ago it lasted easily a few days even with some syncing during the day.
    Any ideas? Battery going bad?

    Is your GPRS connection constantly activated? And are you running in UMTS (Or 3G mode) or GSM as a wonky 3G signal that forces the phone to jump between UMTS and GSM can really kill your battery. If you have moved your geographical area lately it might be that you have moved into an area where there is a poor UMTS signal that is causing this.
    Try putting it in GSM mode for a day and see what happens.
    If nothing try uninstalling your applications and formatting your phone to see if a runaway application is causing it (Back up your data first).
    Failing that, get a new battery (Or claim one under the warranty).

    You are still under warranty if your iPod is "new."  Take full advantage of it by either calling iPod tech support, Apple Care if you have it or take it in to an Apple store or an AASP.  Whichever is more convenient for you.
