HELP - Library Left pane scroll issues ( when in grid view )

I've run into a issue that is really starting to piss me off and hinder my workflow!
When in Library mode grid view, I can't scroll left folder/publish service with my mouse scroll wheel. UNLESS I'm hovering over the scroll bar. If I'm hovering over a folder, I can't scroll ( VERY annoying )
now this is where it gets weird, when in loupe / thumbnail view, I can scroll the left pane fine with no issues. Also, scrolling the left or right pane in Develop mode with no issues as well.
Also, it seems like the when scrolling the right pane in Library view is a bit flakey ( it scrolls, but pauses at some places )
I've read THIS thread, but I dont have any of that type of software on my PC.
I've tried 3 different mice with no fix.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

@sjmphoto0300: I have a Dell XPS 15 502X laptop (running Win 7 Home) and had the same scrolling issue as you in LR 3.6 when in the Library module only (the Develop module sidebar scrolling works fine). I could not scroll using my touchpad on the left or right pane unless my cursor was directly over either thin grey scroll bar or on the actual sidebar headings (e.g. "Catalog," "Folders," or "Quick Develop"). Mousing over the latter would only enable me to scroll until the cursor was no longer over the heading which was pretty useless.
I have Synaptics TouchPad v7.4 installed. While I don't have an option in my Mouse properties to specify certain programs that don't scroll properly as mentioned in another post, I did find a solution that works for me!
I had to do TWO things to get scrolling in the sidebars working properly:
1) In this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3888114#3888114) it was mentioned that the Synaptics scrolling graphic that appears (see screenshot below) interferes with scrolling and the scrolling graphic can be disabled with a registry tweak and then restart the Synaptics applications (2) or reboot.
2) Right-click an empty spot on the desktop and go to Personalize > Change Mouse Pointers > Device Settings (Synaptics logo on tab) > Settings. Click on Scrolling on the left of the Synaptics Properties window > Scroll item under pointer. Click Enable.
That got sidebar scrolling working without having to keep the cursor hovering above the skinny scrollbars. It seems like the Synaptics software doesn't recognize what area is always scrollable in Lightroom when "Scroll selected item" is selected.
Hope this helps someone else out there.

Help/understand plz-transcoded footage issue when slowing

OK...just before I posted this question I tried one last thing and it seemed to resolve the issue stated below BUT I would appreciate an explanation so I understand potential issues in the future since I borrow my friend's cams for church work and one is an AVCHD cam which is great for b-roll/non-audio-important footage. It appears that removing the "FRAME BLENDING" resolved the issue.
ISSUE:
When I slowed the b-roll to 50-80% AND rendered the footage after dropping it over the primary footage, it got all "jittery" (before rendering it was fine).
DETAILS:
1) working in FCP 7.
2) primary footage on a SONY Z1U (mDV) and b-roll on a SONY CX550 (AVCHD).
3) transcoded the AVCHD footage from the CX550 to APR 422 (LT)
As stated, issue seems to be resolved by removing the FRAME BLENDING when changing speed but I'd still appreciate an explanation. Thanks for your time.

This board is a Shared graphics memory and does not have a discrete Video Graphics.
Please send me the link so I can verify if the link or the posted details from where you bought it was the problem.

Itunes Scrolling Issue when connected to itunes-share

I also have a new MB Pro running OS X 10.9.5 and a new iPhone 6. My iPhone connects to iTunes, but hangs at step 6 in the sync process -- copying apps to the iPhone. I let it run all night last night and it never got beyond the second app. This morning I upgraded to iOS 8.0.2 and have the same problem. Now I am stuck at the third app.

Clicking folder in left pane does nothing when opening from app...

I've noticed that if I try to open a file from within any app, and for example, click "documents" in the left pane, then open another folder in the right pane, if I then want to go back to the parent "documents" folder by clicking "documents" again, nothing happens and I am still in the child folder. It seems the only way around it is to do a "command+up arrow" or click a different folder in the left pane such as "applications" then click "documents" again... surely this isn't how it is supposed to work? Clicking a folder in the left pane should take me back to that folder, regardless of what folder I am currently viewing.
What are your thoughts? Is this bug reported?

Performance issues when using Smart View and Excel 2010

Hello, we are experiencing very slow retrieval times when using Smart View and Excel 2010. Currently on v.11.1.3.00 and moved over from Excel 2003 in the last quarter. The same spreadsheets in 2010 (recreated) are running much slower than they used to in 2003 and I was wondering if anyone else out there has experienced similar problems?
It looks like there is some background caching going on as when you copy and paste the contents into a new file and retrieve it is better.....initially. The size of the files are generally less than 2mb and there aren't an expecially large number of subcubes requested so I am at a loss to explain or alleviate the issues.
Any advice / tips on how to optimise the performance would be greatly appreciated.

Is any one else having scrolling issues when a tab has a pdf open but isn't the current tab?

I have a PDF open in a tab. When I go to a different tab and try to scroll (using the mouse scrolling feature, not clicking the scroll bar) the mouse icon says it is scrolling, but it isn't. I then go to the tab with the pdf and realize that the scrolling occurred on that tab and not the active tab.

10.9.1 Mail - Scrolling issues between Message & Mailbox views

Just in the past week I am seeing something strange with scrolling in both the Message panel and the Mailbox list of all Mail in either my inbox or sent.
At times I can only scroll within the Message window between all the Messages in a conversation. But then can not scroll through the list of all Mail and Conversations. Then other times it reverses and the Message window is frozen and can only scroll through the lists. Also for the first time when I scroll too far down I can see white space above with the Message or in the List, whichever I am able to scroll through at that time. I have quit mail, quit and restarted the computer, all to no avail. The whole thing is random and can not replicate this behavior. Help?

I should add that these Print formatting issues do *NOT* show on every Mail 7.1 message in Mavericks 10.9.1.
So far, I've not been able to ferret out just what it is about a Message that cause Print formatting to screw up. Things I believe I've ELIMINATED include:
1) Newly created Messages vs. old Messages.
2) Messages with or without attachements
3) Messages with or without signatures
4) Messages which include prior Messages in a Reply or Forward string, or not (i.e., single, original Messages)
5) Mesages with multiple recipients or not or with CC: recipients in the Header or not.
However this problem is by no means "random". Any Message that shows one of the Three Problems I've detailed above will exhibit that Problem every single time you try to Print it. Any Message which Prints cleanly, will continue to Print cleanly every time as well. So there is SOMETHING about the data in the failing Messages which is triggering this problem.
One new behavior I've noted is that for some Messages a new notice appears on screen -- briefly -- the first time you try to Print them. It appears so briefly that I may have the exact text wrong, but it is something like "Generating Print Content". I'm beginning to suspect the Printing problems show ONLY on Messages that need to go through that "extra step" the first time you try to Print them. But I don't know what that Message implies -- i.e., is there a new, "printable" file being generated by Mail specific to that Message which might persist across different Print attempts? If so, the error may be due to how THAT file is created.
This new notice only seems to appear the FIRST time you try to Print a Message -- and evidently not on every Message (or pehaps it is so brief on some Messages that I just don't see it).

How can I fix left pane text overlap in iCal Day view?

In "Day" view, the items in the left hand (list) pane in iCal are overlapping, obscuring the bottom 1/3 of each line of text. It is as if the table cells are too close together vertically. How do I fix this?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Premiere Pro cs6 - Workspace video pane remains blank when trying to view imported files

Hello,
I'm currently working in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. When I import my media into my workspace and drag it onto the timeline, the preview box where you can review your cut video remains black. Double clicking on the imported file gives the same result. I was initially importing .jpg files (about 300kb size for each) so I tried importing various other image formats - .png, .tiff, etc... I have even imported a movie file into my scene to determine whether the issue was with my content format. With the video, the audio plays fine, but the video remains blank in the preview box. I have tried rendering my workspace and changing my initial project settings, but to no avail. I went into my preferences for Premiere and from what I can determine, everything looks fine.
I'm running the software on an HP Pavilion, Windows 7 intel i7, 8gb ram, with a nvidia 650M 2GB card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried to change your Video Renderer? It would be under Project > Project Settings > General. Switch the option to Mercury Playback Engine software only and see if it helps.

Net services config issue when installing grid on Amazon EC2

How to turn off CTRL+scroll zoom in the grid view of Lightroom?

Please help - I'm working with a big catalogue, where I have to do a lot of scrolling and keywording. I'm new to Windows machine (corporate), and having a problem when I want to hold CTRL and scroll down (to individually select more photos), it only zooms in and out...
Then if I release ctrl, there is always a risk to slip and lose the previous selection. When the workflow is thousands of photos to wade through, it is not fun at all and a waste of time.
There must a be a way of turning it off!
Would appreciate any help.

Hi,
If you wish to keep the CTRL key pressed and scroll up or down a grid list, just use the mouse on the scroll bar on the RH side of the grid.
To zoom you need to press CTRL and +/-.
If you press the CTRL key and try to use the up/down arrow keys to scroll it will increase/decrease the flag status of the currently selected image.

Performance issues when creating a Report / Query in Discoverer

Hope you are can help, it involves a performance issues when creating a Report / Query.
I have a Discoverer Report that currently takes less than 5 seconds to run. After I add a condition to bring back Batch Status that = Posted we cancelled the query after reaching 20 minutes as this is way too long. If I remove the condition the query time goes back to less than 5 seconds.

Is there anything i can do in Discoverer Desktop / Administration to avoid this problem.

Hi Rod,
I've tried the condition (Batch Status||'' = 'Posted') as you suggested, but the qeury time is still over 20 mins. To test i changed it to (Batch Status||'' = 'Unposted') and the query was returned within seconds again.
Ive been doing some more digging and have found the database view that is linked to the Journal Batches folder. See below.
I think the problem is with the column using DECODE. When querying the column in TOAD the value of P is returned. But in discoverer the condition is done on the value Posted. Im not too sure how DECODE works, but think this could be the causing some sort of issue with Full Table Scans. How do we get around this?

Left pane of Administrator console is empty

Hi!
I am new to weblogic server.I have installed weblogic server 6.0 trial version. the left pane of Administator console has no tree view. I have attached the gif file of my administror console. I am reading the online document and tells me that I should see a tree view to add and remove users. I have IE 5.5 sp1. My installation went through with any problems.
Please help.Iam having starting trouble

I have experienced the same thing, trying to hit the console going through Win2K VPN.... Client was
IE 5.5 with the latest sp, and yes, applets are turned on....
