HELP: Lightroom Shows Files missing or offline but they are not.

I have been using LR 2 for some time with no problems. Just got back from a trip to Turkey and copied my CF Cards to my image drive (not networked), manually, without Adobe Downloader. I then used Bridge Batch Rename on the images in the folders I created. The files are all there and named correctly. (Lightroom had not been run until this point). I then imported them all into LR 2, however there is a question mark next to each image, and when I locate the file LR 2 tells me the file is already in the catalog. I tried deleting the catalog folders, moving the originals into another folder and re-importing but the same problem exists.
What am I doing wrong? I loved LR up until now, but this has me really frustrated.

Hi Mike. The filenames didn't have a "/" in them. They were similar to this: \Turkey 2008\Disk 1\Turkey Sept 2008 _MG_0081.JPG
The only way I could get LR 2 to find the images was to remove the folder from the Catalog, delete the folder of the drive and then use the LR 2 "import from device" command. This imported the files, and I was then able to use LR 2 to rename them.
I still don't understand why they were not "findable" in the catalog though. I should be able to copy images to an internal drive, rename them with any program, then import them into LR 2 and have them available. Perhaps LR 2 was "watching" the folder and automatically added the originally named images to it's catalog.

There are some good programs that you could use to convert the format, Handbrake or Mpegstreamclip are two good free ones. Convert them to MP4 and then try importing them again.

Applications show as up to date, but they are not current versions

I am trying to make deployable image of OSX 10.8.5.
CC desktop is telling us that applications are up to date, but they are not.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the applications, only to have it go to an evem earlier version (the original CC release) and the CC desktop still says it is up to date.
I have also tried using CC Cleaner and reinstalling with the same results.
I also noticed that CC Cleaner didn't seem to completely remove all adobe files. In fact, EDGE applications and a few others still remained in the applications folder.
Can you give me any advice?

CC 2014 on Yosemite shows applications launched after restart (but they are not)

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Running Yosemite GM on a late 2009 27" iMac.
All of the apps (except Bridge...which has been extensively discussed) appear to work fine. I routinely use Illustrator, PShop, After Effects, and Audition....no issues...
When I restart my machine, however, and OS X goes to restore all of the apps that were open before restarting...that's when things get strange. In my dock, there are dots below the apps that were open, indicating that they've relaunched....although if I click on one of the icons in the dock to move over to that app, the app launches....it wasn't actually open although it shows as open and running in the dock. Furthermore, if you right click on one of the "running" icons after restart it shows the app as non-responsive and asks if you want to force quit.
It really hasn't made any material difference in my work...like I said, all of the apps work (except Bridge when it comes to previewing AE presets) and it's just mildly frustrating....
Anyone else have this issue?

I have two machines, a late 2009 27" iMac running Yosemite 10.10.2 with 12g of ram, and an early 2009 17" MacBook Pr with 8g of RAM, same OS.
Creative Cloud runs perfectly on the MacBook Pro, all the apps hang on the iMac. I have disabled every extension, I have deleted CC and reinstalled, I have deleted all the apps and ran the cleaner and reinstalled everything, they still hang. I use dropbox and have unchecked the finder config, both machines. I use FontAgent Pro on both machines. Both machines have Skyfonts. I have no problem with any other app on the iMac or the MacBook Pro. No wifi issues. We just moved here 10 days ago, the problem started then. If it was unseated RAM, other applications would be affected, and they are not. Can you help?

I synced and erased old library so I could use new computer, in the apps section it shows the apps I've chosen on the screen of the touch but when I look at the actual touch they are not there

Have you emptied Trash?
When you delete data from a USB drive, you must empty Trash before you disconnect it from the MBP.

Why are my audiobooks showing up in my iTunes but they are not showing up on my iPod nano?

So I downloaded an audiobook from an online source that is not from the iTunes store, but it is showing up in Books in the latest version of iTunes. I synced my iPod, and when I go into my Audiobooks in my iPod, it says that I don't have any. What is the problem? And how do I fix it?!?!

Have you double checked to make sure these Audiobooks are configured to sync to your iPod from under the iPod's Books configuration tab in iTunes?
To access this configuration tab, plug in your iPod and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now locate the Books tab and select it. Here you can configure what and how audiobooks are synced to the device.
If you make any changes to this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button on in the lower right hand corner.

I have signed out then back into the cloud. I have comfirmed location of the photostream folder. I have have even restored settings on my phone. any ideas on what I can do to get it working again? or do I have to accept defect, and manually save my photos?

Yes, that is correct. The alternative is to quit all applications prior to logging out. Lion will then have a chance to remove the saved states.

Go to Settings>iCloud and confirm that you are signed into the account that contains you conacts and that the contacts setting is turned on. Also open the contacts app and tap Groups (if you have this setting at the top) and make sure all your contacts groups are checked.
If they still don't appear, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then turn Contacts on again.
If they still don't appear, force-close the Contacts app and reset your phone: double-tap the home button, locate Contacts, swipe up on the image above the app icon to close it, tap the home button again. Then hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release and wait for it to restart. Then check your contacts again.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

Can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent show as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either (PIN Message Status : Service Blocked)

I recenly changed device from BB Curve 8530 to BB Bold 9900 and ever since then can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows only as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either. Tried sending PIN messages but I got a red x next to the message and the status says: "Service Blocked" .
When my phone got lost, I was lucky that I just synchronized my device to my BB Desktop. Not only was I able to retrieve my contacts (phonebooks and BBM) but also ALL txt msgs and even call logs
Anway, that happening, I assumed I don't need to re-send all my BBM friends invites since some were able to communicate with me. But for those who have deleted my profile (knowing it got lost) and were still on my contact were the ones affected. I tried deleting them and sent an invite only to find out that: I can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving any. (they also have the same pending for authorization notice on their end)
When I tried to send them a PIN message I get a red x next to the message nd get the service blocked message.
Help I do not know what else to do.
** FYI: new contacts added with my new PIN have no prob sending invites and me accepting them all.

This issue is most likely Caused by the BlackBerry not being provisioned for BlackBerry Data Services.

Have you done this before ? And if so, is photo stream turned on on your iphone and ipad. and as Alfred DeRose pointed out they must both on the same icloud account.
If you're new to this, you might want to do some research. Photo stream is different from camera roll and albums. Many have been on this sight looking for their photos stored in icloud after restore, etc. and they're not there. Also, after thirty days icloud deletes your photos from photo stream.
So if you're not aware, you might want to google your question. We're using the camera connection kit soon and I am learning about it. From all I've read, I'm also not the biggest icloud fan. I use dropbox. We plan to put photos taken on ipad with a camera/iphones into albums on the ipad. We'll keep all on the sd card until (and after) they can be uploaded to a computer.
