Hey msb247,
Thanks for the post.
What BlackBerry 10 smartphone are you using?  Also what version of BlackBerry device software are you running? Go to Settings>About to get this information.
Have you tried choosing a different background image?
I look forward to your reply.
Cheers.

    Hi,
When you set your monitor to a screen resolution that it won't support, the screen will go black for a few seconds while the monitor reverts back to the original resolution.
Regarding screen resolution, we may follow the below two articles to change it:
    Change your screen resolution
Getting the best display on your monitor
    Follow the steps below:
    1. Open Screen Resolution by clicking the Start button, clicking
Control Panel, and then, under Appearance and Personalization, clicking Adjust screen resolution.
2.Click the drop-down list next to Resolution. Check for the resolution marked (recommended). This is your LCD monitor's native resolution—usually the highest resolution your monitor can support.
And if the monitor is LCD monitor, The monitor's  manufacturer or reseller should also be able to tell you the native resolution for your LCD monitor.  Or we may check the monitor's manual to adjust.

  • How to get back default Lock Screen Image of Windows 8.1

I recently upgraded windows 8 to Windows 8.1, but it reset my custom lock screen image .  I tried for default lock screen of windows 8.1.I can't find any default lock screen
images of windows 8.1 (Only custom images are available). How to get default lock screen images? Does any any one know? please help me..

The last "solution" works only for pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete and clicking
Lock. If you sign out of Windows and sign back in, that ghastly Windows 8.1 lock screen picture will come back.
You can delete the img100.png file from your WinSxS folder: right lick on this file, click Properties, click the Security tab, click Edit, click Add, type your Windows user name in the white rectangle under "Enter the object
name to select", click Check Names, click OK, then click Advanced, click Change, take ownership of the file, give yourself Full control over this file, click Apply and then OK. You may see your name three times in the Security tab (as user, administrator,
and yourself). Make sure that each instance has full Control
If this does not work, you can disable the Lock Screen: press Windows+R, type
gpedit.msc, click OK, in the Local Group Policy Editor window that opens click on Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization, right click on the "Do not display the lock screen" option, click
Edit, check Enabled, then click Apply and OK.
This, however, is a workaround rather than a real solution, which, it seems, Microsoft does not have.
I have exactly the same issue with the horrid stripey thing. Furthermore, in Settings, Lock Screen Preview is completely blank both on current and past images.
I've tried all the tips I've found around the web with no success. I get the horrid stripey thing back.
I found this freeware called Lock Screen Customizer. Seems to work so far but time will tell. (Note that the download includes both win8 and win8.1 versions.)

  • Custom lock screen GPO not working for domain users

I have a WS2012 standard server with W8 Pro clients. I'm trying to force the lock screen to a .jpg however it's not working, it leaves the users with just a standard blueish screen.
I have the "force a specific default lock screen image" enabled with the path \\MRS-DC\WP\mrc_lock_screen.jpg
The GPO is being applied according to the results wizard, however no image. What gives?

    Hi,
Please refer to the below articles:

In addition, please check your below policy:

Disable it and check the result also.

  • Scaling lock screen image

I am having a problem with my lock screen image after upgrading to IOS 7. I liek to have emergency contact info displayed. I have used a couple of different ICE programs that create an image int he camera roll that can then be set as the lock screen image. WHile I am selecting the image under Settings -> Wallpapers & Brightness, it says "Move and Scale". I can move or pinch operatiosn but as soon as I take my finger off, the iamge springs back to the original. The result is that some of the text is cut off at the edge of the display.
I have also looked at the iamges under the Photos app. When I jsut view the iage, I get the same left edge cutoff. But when I go into Edit mode, I see all the text.

You may try Group Policy Editor to prevent this.
Press Win+X Keys to launch Run menu.
Type in gpedit.msc  in the blank space of Run menu and hit the Enter key.
Now expand Administrative Tools > Control Panel > Personalization  > Prevent changing lock screen image.
Prevents users from changing the background image shown when the machine is locked.
By default, users can change the background image shown when the machine is locked.
If you enable this setting, the user will not be able to change their lock screen image, and they will instead see the default image.

  • Windows 8.1 Force a specific default lock screen image

    Hi,
at the moment we are preparing the win 8.1 rollout in our environment.
Now we tried to customize the lock screen image.
There we are facing the issue that the image does not get correctly resized to different screen resolutions.
Therefore we are using a image with a resolution of 2160x1440 pixels.
Does anybody have an idear how tho fix this ?
    Thanks in advanced,
    Thomas

    Hi,
Based on my test, when user customizing the lock screen picture, system would create a new folder under the following path:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-21-1765481211-944569940-2390947737-1001\ReadOnly\
and create a folder for the new lock screen picture which named in sequence, such as LockScreen_A, B, etc.
In the LockScreen folder, system would generate some series pixels picture for this lock screen picture. However, when you change screen resolution, There might be a problem.
In my opinion, you can try to use a picture which resolutioin same with system default lockscreen picture for test:

Double-tap the Home button to bring up the background applications. Then scroll to the left until you see a gray icon with a circular arrow -- that locks/ unlocks the screen orientation.

  • HT201210 After updating iPhone 4S to iOS 7, the lock screen will not accept my password.

After updating my iPhone 4S to iOS 7, the lock screen will not accept my password and I am locked out of my phone. Anyone else seeing this? What can I do to fix this?

    Hello kennyred,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
If you have chosen to encrypt your backup, it will contain the passcode. Disable backup encryption before restoring from backup. Learn more about iOS backups in iTunes.
When the backup and sync is complete, select Restore from Backup and choose the most recent backup of your device.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • Frozen locked screen stating Not Enough Storage

Ipod touch is on a locked screen stating Not Enough Storage. It cannot be shut off and is not acknowledged when I attach to computer

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • A way to have notifications appear on lock screen but not activate the screen each time I receive one?

Using an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 I like how I can have my notifications appear on my lock screen (usually for a new email) but dislike how every time I receive a notification, my iPhone screen lights up with the notification. Is there a way to continue receiving notifications on my lock screen but not have the screen illuminate every time I receive one? It's a constant distraction when I am at work, and I like to keep my phone turned face-up on my desk in case I get a call.

    No

  • Lock screen does not support the new panoramic feature in iOS7

Lock screen does not support the new panoramic feature in iOS7.
You are supposed to be able to take panoramic photos and then set them as your lock screen background.
Then you can move your phone around to see the full photo.
    My i5 doesn't !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe this was removed in the later betas of IOS 7. It may make a reappearance in a future update.
It was mentioned at WWDC when iOS 7 was announced, but there is no mention of it on the Apple website.
