Help!!! Locked out of DC with disabled AD directory Service !!!!

Hi there, I believe I just entered into the biggest hole ...
Was planning to p2v of a DC and read online to stop and "disable" all AD services.
Disable I did, and after installation of convertor software, windows updates I mistakenly did a reboot!!.
Now, I cannot login!getting "no logon servers available" ; I did create a local admin accoutn using command line, but just found that there is no actual local admin account on DC's, its only administrator account.
Am I screwed, the server is also an exchange server.! :(
Please please any ideas....any help ???????

Please note that the below procedure should be only used for a emergency purpose or for a LAB testing. Please don't simply use this in any ones server / Desktop as it is equal to Hacking.
Before you Perform. Please read your Country's Cyber law once.
===================================================================
Hey Karma,
The above option will not work.
Just tried it in the Lab.
So you download this password breaker ISO from the FTP link below which i uploaded and follow the instructions.
FTP link: http://depositfiles.com/files/i1sz0yv0c
It breaked my Local admin password in DSR mode.
Reboot the server and boot from the ISO i am giving.
Once you boot it will ask you for options from what you Want to boot from Now.
Select 0 and press enter - Which is clean boot from Active@Password Changer
Then  pres 1 and enter and Then it will show you the partitions on the server. Select the partition where windows is installed and press enter and it will start searching for the SAM database where the Password is encrypted.
Once the search is completed it will show the SAM file and press enter to continue
Then the Local user accounts on that computer will be displayed
Select the number in Yellow mostly 0 will be for administrator. If it is different just see what number is in Yellow on the left hand side of the Administrator and press the number and press enter
It will ask what to do with account
Then use space bar key to select options by navigating using the arrow keys.
Select Reset password and Change password on the next logon. and Click Y
Your done.
Exit the program and restart the computer in DSR mode and Select .\Administrator and press enter. It will as you to set the new Password. Old password leave it blank and enter the new password and you are in.
Thats all

  • Reward for helping me out. Issue with Lenovo computers and musical equipment.

I know this may seem a wierd place to put this post, but as this looks like a conflict between hardware or drivers, I think it is possible that I can get better help from computer-Techs then Music-Techs.
Help me out before I grow bald and decapitate my self in agony.
I have used the last couple of months to build a setup to sooth my needs for using Native Instruments Traktor Pro 2.03
After hours of research I came up with a solution that says:
    Computer: Lenovo T500 2.8Ghz with 4GB ram
Midi controllers: Numark Mixtrack Pro, Evolution UC-33e and Novation Launchpad
Softeware: Traktor Pro 2.03 and Midikatapult
All worked like a charm until I connected the Launchpad.
As it goes, it looks like the Launchpad and the T500 is a match made in HELL.
Whenever the Launchpad gets involved in any kind of midifeedback from Traktor or Midikatapult (for lighting up the LEDs), my computer totally freezes.
The freezes happens most of the time within a blink of an eye, and other times within half a seccond. Only options is to hard reset the computer in order to get out.
I have narrowed the issue to be some conflict between Lenovo and Launchpad.
Tried the setup on my wifes T400, with the same problem but when I hook it to my old HP it works fine (except for the HP being to slow to cope with it on a live playing basis).
Other people have the launchpad working fine on PC's with win7 pro 64bit just like me so it doesn't look like a win7 issue.
If I disable LED feedback, the setup works fine, but then I can't use midikatapult as it F&#$s my setup when I start up midikatapult. Seccondly it would be allmost impossible for me to navigate around a 80 button controller like the Launchpad without LED feedback.
I am in really pinned to the floor about having to buy another computer to get this working as the T500 sooths me perfect in all other aspects, so I am desperatly looking for a solution that doesn't envolve switching equipment or otherwise ruining me.
If you can give a usefull insight that solves this issue for me I will happily pay you 50$ for the trouble.
I really hope someone can help me out, and I know that I'm not the only one agonizing about this issue.
    Best Regards Jeppe Johansden

I don't know anything about the MIDI products you're using so all I can do is give you some genreal tips, but hey, it might help.
First question - are these products all USB-based?
Second question - have you tried using an external POWERED USB-hub?
Third question - does it do the same regardless of which USB port you're plugged into?  Some hardware seem to prefer certain ports to others.
Get back to me - will try to help.

  • Help Locked out of iPod because we don't know password

My daughter accidentally entered her password incorrectly when she was creating it.  (Not sure how she did it twice, but.....) So, now she doesn't know her password.  She is locked out of the ipod and we've tried everything that Apple says to do. We have tried to restore via iTunes and it doesn't work.  We have tried using iCloud but she has to have wifi because she is locked out so it won't restore that way.  What else can we do?  Please help!!!

Connect to iTunes and place it in Recovery Mode. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

  • 90 day lock out on iTunes with a mac that has shared access

    HI,
This is my first iMac and I've never experienced this problem on my older pc's before. I have set up my itunes and signed in to associate my account with the mac. My partner died last year and I still have to use their account to access some of our joint itunes purchases. I have signed in with their account and downloaded the necessary files. only to find that when I want to continue and use my own account, it now says I have to wait 90 days? these purchases should be accessable... can someone please help, as it is putting me off the idea of completely moving to Mac in the future.
    thanks

Yes, I am having this problem because I have 2 Apple IDs/iTunes accounts.  Mind you, I don't want 2 accounts but Apple forced me to make a new apple ID when they started requiring email addresses as user ID.  This was the first big mistake that Apple made.  Their second mistake was not allowing people to simply merge these accounts.  Had they not made these mistakes initially, many people would still only have one Apple account/ID. Some bloke ought to lose his job over that.
However, I understand this isn't the same problem as having multiple household members using the same computer.  It seems that Apple could figure this all out by either authorizing multiple users at the time of purchase, or allowing a handful of users to download to one computer. After all, if I bought a hard copy of a music CD, I could certainly allow my son or daughter to listen to it or download it to their computer.  Next thing you know, I'll have to sign a release saying that I am the only person that uses my iPod.
I am also returning not just one but 2 brand new Mac computers ($4500 coming back from Apple to my wallet) because I am so fed up with the poor customer service response that Apple has given this problem.  Not only did they take a ton of my money for iTUnes songs, but then they restricted my access to those songs. I think it's criminal and I wouldn't be surprised if this issue ended up as a class action wrongdoing suit.  I have to admit I've considered talking to a lawyer about it myself.  I am so sick of large monopolizing companies thinking that they can treat their customers poorly and expect us to sit back and take it. The good news is that this is a free country and I can choose to throw my money at any old company I choose..........Toshiba here I come.

  • Help me out a bit with Xfree86.

well the thing is that my friend came over with his comp to me today and he wanted me to help him with installing some games to his linuxbox
but when you start a vast majority of games the "fullscreen" option jerks out.
it shows the game with 600x480. and the rest of the window is black.
you dont see the desktop. but its not "fullscreen".
well so i was thinking and pushing some buttons and found out that his
    "ctrl alt numpad+" dosent work"
so then i understood that something is wrong with his XF86Config.
    and well here it is (i see a lot of errors in the XF86Config but none that tell me why ctrl alt numpad+ dosent work);

  • Help please: re proper use of JNDI and Directory services

I'm new to this J2EE/JDev stuff and have spent a few days pouring over Sun's JNDI and J2EE documentation as to how best to accomplish my task. Here's the big picture. I am constructing a web site in my PC at home for eventual deployment in an ISP server. I don't have an LDAP or COS server but ISPs usually do. I've found a public LDAP server I can use but the problem is getting an entry on the server that my JSP client and EJB server code can use to find my Entity bean and SQLServer database server respectively. The best I've been able to come up with is that I need to write my own Applet or client application to register my entries on that LDAPserver with appropriate Java attributes and then code my stuff to look it up using the DirContext class.
As for how I pass my stuff into my EJB bean, I intend to use jndi.properties to specify custom properties that map logicals to the physical resources that DirContext routines act on and use System.getProperty("...") to retrieve them dynamically without having to recode later. I haven't figured out exactly how to do this for Servlets and JSPs yet so they can find the beans.
I'm interested in any feedback to what I'm doing and how better to achieve my ends.
As an aside, I noticed as I poured through Sun's J2EE container software that they seem to have embedded COS in their deploytool as a nice feature that would effectively solve my problem if JDeveloper could integrate such a capability. Their sample programs were pretty straight-forward in configuring JDBC and the beans. Any thoughts from the JDev team on providing a similar capability for OC4J?
    Thanks,
    Dean

I would first left-click with the mouse on the camera icon (to enable/activate the snap shot feature), then I'd go with the mouse to the area I wanted to take the snapshot, click-and-drag so I would box-in the desired area to be copied/duplicated, then let go off the mouse (a ding wound then sound) and finally I would go to the page where I wanted to reproduce the snapshotted and left-click once with the mouse... And presto!
Not so with 11-Pro. It allows me to paste onto a different program such as MS-Word (or Outliok), but not onto a PDF page.

  • ACS Integration with Microsoft Active Directory Services

    Hello Everyone,
I've been tasked to design the integration of ACS with MS AD. What I want to know is the below assuming I have a software ACS or a ACS device and the protocol for authentication is Radius
    - What is the criteria for the AD to integrate with ACS software of appliance
    - Should that AD be hosted on the domain controller or not?
    - If not, on what (Domain Controller, Tree, Forest, Branch, Flower, Fruit  ) should the AD be hosted on?
    - What will I have to do to authenticate users logging into Cisco Security Manager with ACS integrated with AD?
    - Are there any other dependencies that I will have to categorically mention in my design document?
    Thanks,
    Rishi

In ACS v5.x, there is a screen for integrating the ACS with AD.
(Users and Identity Stores > External Identity Stores > Active Directory)
Just enter the local domain name (domain.com) and a valid AD administrator account username and password, and the ACS will connect to the domain.  This allows you to use existing AD credentials to login and administer your network devices.
Tying the ACS to AD really only takes one screen and less than a minute, but you will still have to tell the ACS which AD groups get which permissions (for example, read-only or read-write access), and you will have to setup a search sequence (Users and Identity Stores > Identity Store Sequences) to tell ACS to first look at AD for credentials, then check the local ACS user database for valid accounts.  The permissions part is still fairly quick, and it only takes me about 45 minutes to build an ACS from scratch including all AD integration and custom RADIUS attributes for some of our devices.
The authentication would occur like this:
    User SSH/telnet/console to device
Device contacts ACS using TACACS or RADIUS
User receives login prompt and enters AD credentials
    Devices sends credentials to ACS
    ACS validates credentials in AD
ACS sends authentication OK message to Device
    Device logs user in.
Command Authorization looks something like this:
    User enters a command
Device sends command authorization request to ACS
ACS looks at which AD group the user belongs to and looks up permissions configured in ACS for that group
Based on the permissions you have assigned, ACS either sends an allow or deny message to the Device
Device allows or denies the user command.
Criteria:  We use an ACS 5.2 virtual machine and have had it work perfectly with Server 2003 and Server 2008.
AD is hosted on our local domain controller (Bonus:  no planting of flowers required!)
    Dependencies:
Issue:  The Device looks to ACS.  ACS looks to AD.  If AD fails, users cannot use their AD credentials to login.
              Device ---> ACS ---> AD
Solution:  Configure the Device to look at ACS first, then a local table if ACS is not available.  Also, configure the ACS to look at AD first, then a local ACS account list if AD is not available.  (You can configure local user accounts on the Device and in the ACS)
              Device ---> ACS ---> AD
Device ---> ACS ---> AD ---> ACS local
Device ---> ACS ---> AD ---> ACS local ---> Device local
The new version of Cisco ACS is UNIX-based, and you can download a free trial to load up and try before you buy.  It is far FAR superior to the old ACS v3.3 that we had for years.
I hope this helps for your design document!

    Hi,
Here is another solution from SAP notes about addon can't start:
    (quote}
    Add-on does not start
    Symptom
After having installed the Add-On successfully, you start the Add-On and it stops with an error message.
    Other terms
Extension's set-up function failed,The server threw an exception, Connection to company failed, add-on
    Reason and Prerequisites
    See solution.
    Solution
When the Add-On is started for the first time in a company, it has to initialize itself. There are some known reasons why this process can fail:
       1. The add-on appears not to start. Immediately after you start it, a system message appears telling you that the Add-On is disconnected. Ensure that you have assigned an Add-On license to the logged-on user. Use Administration->Add-ons->Add-on Administration to assign the license.
       2. A message box appears with the title "SBOAddOnLoader". This error message is issued by the UI-API. The Add-On has a problem connecting to the UI-API. Uninstall the SAP Business One client and reinstall it.
       3. Shortly after starting the Add-On, the following message appears: "Error getting last error from DI-API". The Add-On tries to connect to the DI API, but the connection fails. Now the Add-On asks the DI API for the reason. This request also fails, probably because the DI API has not been installed. This is not a problem caused by the add-on. Install the DI API from your SAP Business One CD.
       4. After starting the Add-On, the following message appears: "Connection to company failed: the server threw an exception". This is probably due to a version mismatch. The installed DI API is not suitable for the installed version of SAP Business One. The part of the error message after the colon is issued by MS Windows, thus the message may appear in your local language. This is not a problem caused by the Add-On, but anunexpected error that occurred inside the DI API. Uninstall the wrongversion of the DI API and install the appropriate version.
If the message after the colon is different from the above-mentioned message, the text is issued by the DI API and should describe the problem.
       5. After starting the Add-On, the Add-On runs for some time displaying a progress bar. After a while it stops and the following message appears: "Extension's set-up function failed (... Class)". This means that the Add-On encountered a problem during its initialization. Instead of the three dots, the name of the Add-On is shown. A different Add-On may have been running while this one tried to initialize itself. Stop all SAP Add-Ons before you install a new one. After a successful installation and initialization of the Add-On, you can restart the others. If no other add-on is running and the error still occurs, it may be a problem specific to this Add-On. Check the SAP Notes related to this particular Add-On.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
