Help log out of old icloud account
we had to change email address because old provider shut down so no longer exists. now when we try to delete old icloud account it has old email address and prompts us for a password. but it wont work because there is no password for that old account that is no longer in use? please help
If the old ID ("email address") is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Cannot log out of old iCloud account
I was recently deployed and my iPad froze while trying to update to ios8. When i got back home i plugged in my iPad and backed it up with info over a year old. When it backed it up it used the data from my old iCloud account that i no longer use. I go to settings-icloud and click on sign out at the bottom of the screen but i can't log out because i don't know the password for my old account. I am wanting to restore my iPad completely and resync my iPhone with my iPad. how can i log out of my old iCloud account without knowing the password? i tried to use forgot my apple password but the email was sent to the address i no longer use also. Thank you.
If you can't reset the password at https://iforgot.apple.com, you will need to call Apple and speak to someone in account security.

It depends on what you mean. If you mean that you changed the iCloud account to which Find My iPod is set up in the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings, then the iPod will only be trackable through that iCloud account, not any previous one.
If that's not what you meant, please post back and clarify.

so if someone could help me I would really appreciate it.If they left an activation lock on the device, you can't fix it but may be able to get a refund for the iPhone.

How to sign out of old ICloud account
I have recently just updated to IOS 8 and I am unable to log out of my old ICloud account which I no longer have or know the password to I can't seem to find a way to log off so I am able to sign into iCloud with my other apple id
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iPhone and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password. -

You need to use the Find My iPhone app (in the itunes store - free). When invoking it on a device, you enter the ID password of the account the lost device is connected to. You can also use a computer's browser and log into icloud.com.

To change the iCloud account on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone (if using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.

When I first began using my mac, I figured it wouldn't be a problem to just mooch off my mom's apple id. However, now that I've finally gotten around to getting my own, she is still considered the primary user. I still get her messages, emails, facetime, etc. Is there a way for me to get rid of this?
So you are using another user account on the same Mac?
From the admin account, open System Preferences > Users & Groups then select the Passwords tab.
Click the padlock icon. That will require the admin password.
Then click Login Options then click +
From there you can setup another user account.
When you're done, select that account under Other Users then click Set to the right of Apple ID. You can setup a new Apple ID or use an existing one but no the admins.
To toggle between user accounts, in the Users & Groups pane, select: Show fast user switching menu as: then make a selection from the pop up menu.

I cant log out or delete my old icloud account
ok so this problem started when my old email that was the email for my apple id and i cloud became disabled/deleted i changed my apple id to a new email and password and deleted my old email off the account it was all fine until i recently went to delete and reset my whole ipad on i cloud it would ask for the password to my old email/apple id to de activate the 'find my ipad' thing so now i cant reset my ipad because it keeps coming up with my old apple id/ icloud and i cant log out of the icloud account because everything in the icloud section in the settings is greyed out and unable to be clicked on. can someone pleeeaassee help this is killing me!?!?
You will need your password.
Go to iforgot.apple.com to reset it. But if the phone is Activation Locked you will need the original password, so try to remember it. -
Help!!! I've lost all of my contacts and information after the ios7 update. After the update I plugged my phone into my MacBook and it reverted back to my old icloud account. I checked my MacBook and everything on there is connected to my new icloud account. I'm not sure why this has happened, but I have been trying for two days to get my new icloud account back. My phone won't allowe to log out of the icloud account it is logged into because I don't know the password. Simple solution, reset the password. Not so simple. I don't have the email address associated with the account anymore. So I attempted the security question option. When I entered my birthdate, it said that it was incorrect. I have tried multiple times and nothing will work. Can someone please help me??
If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support. -

One of you will need to migrate to a separate iCloud account, then you can delete the other person's data from each account.
To migrate to a new account, start by saving an photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll to your camera roll. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing errow), then tap Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted, provide the account password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign in with a different Apple ID to create the new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
You can then each to to your iCloud accounts on icloud.com from your computer and delete the other person's data from your account. -

I restored my new phone with my old settings on accident and now I cant sign out of find my phone without my old icloud account, I tried to reset it but it sent the password reset to my old e-mail that got spammed.I also tried using the find my phone app to log it out but it said it would work when connected to the Internet. how can I sign out of find my phone to reset it?

please help :-(That's Activation Lock. You will need to remember the Apple ID and password you used to set up the phone.
If you can't remember them, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to try to recover the information.
If you are the original owner of the phone & have proof of purchase, you can try calling Apple to see if they can assist also.
