HELP LOGIC WON"T INSTALL!! ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM?

I've tried installing Logic Studio 8 three times now with the same outcome...I put in the first DVD, set it to do a complete install (all apps, jam packs etc) and it starts normally. After a while it gets to "...writing files" and just stops working. Disc isn't spinning, it doesn't ask for the next DVD. I left it for more than 12 hours like this to make sure and it's definitely frozen. The funny thing is when I force quit the installer and force eject the disc afterwards, the apps (Logic Pro, Waveburner, Soundtrack Pro etc) are all installed and working! (but without the jam packs/ sound libraries on the other DVDs. Anyone else had this problem? It's really annoying and I installed this fine in 10.5 but snow leopard seems to cause problems...thanks to anyone who can help!

I had the same problem, here's how i fixed it:
Run the installer again, but run a custom install and uncheck the main program file since that's already working. Then just install the other parts.
If it does it again, try doing the other parts one by one---unchecking everything but one thing, and install....then running the installer and unchecking them all but the next thing, etc.

i have a MacBook pro. I'm trying to connect my Mac through wifi at my house, it shows my router says it's connected with full signal yet I have no internet. So I thought I would try it at my friends house but I had the same problem. the Internet connection and wifi were on, as our iPhones were working through wifi. Try this.
    Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
    Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
    Restart the computer.
    Start up in Safe Mode.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities,
I had a similar issue and it was an easy fix for me. First you need to log out of your account completely in the Mac App Store. Quit the application. Re-open the Mac App Store. Click log-in, enter your Apple-ID and password. Now when the screen pops-up that has all of your billing/credit card information on it DO NOT select done. Instead select View my Account, then select View hidden purchases. There you should be able to find iPhoto. Hope this helps if not let me know. I'm still searching solutions for you.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

When I click on the magazine, my screen is just blank. I can see the purchase, and in my settings/store, the magazine shows "ON".

I would do a power cycle/reset of your device first, if you haven't, to rule that out.

If the magazine is browser based, you might also try another browser. I like "Atomic Browser". It is available on the app store.

Having the same issue after downloading the lastest version of itunes. Apple is going to lose me as a customer, if this keeps up with their software updates. They never seem to work.
Really, they should want me to be able to access their store. That's money out of their pocket.

trying to to connect VPN , but I get this messag, "could not validate the server certificate".
I am trying to connect to Oracle VPN.

Has anyone found a solution for this yet? I am still getting the could not validate server certificate error. I have tried importing the entire certificate chain as well as importing each individual cert in the chain. My certificate works perfectly with the cisco vpn on my pc.
This is my first experience owning an apple product, and I am very disappointed with the customer support that I have received. I tried calling the help line and no one would even attempt to answer my question. I was then told that the Mac "geniuses" wouldn't know either and that I may be able to find an answer on the message boards. It sounds like you are constantly needing to restore your phone because it keeps going into recovery mode. Usually putting a device into recovery mode and restoring it can help isolate an issue to your iPhone hardware if an issue persists afterwards. I would try manually putting it into recovery mode and restoring it 1 more time:

It could be a software issue. I would reinstall the OS. You don't have to lose or reinstall any apps from archive and install. This way, your user folder remains intact but you get a fresh copy of the OS.

Please tell us you iMac model and the Mac OSX version you run. iMacs have been in continuous production since 1998 in four broad families and hundreds of variants. Without knowing your specific Mac type, someone trying to help might give you advice inappropriate for your model.
A good place to start to determine in which family yours resides is to do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu (left end of menubar) to get this window:

I have a number of hard drives that my Mac Book Pro no longer 'recognises' at least for very long. When I turn them on the deskstop icon shows up but then shortly afterwards I get a message saying that it has been unplugged incorrectly. I haven't unplugged it any of them. The drive is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced, or you have some other hardware fault.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
