Help - Lost tools panel

Hallo, I've a problem: have lost the panel "tools" and it
doesnt appears when i do F2 or go on the windows menu.
I've also tryed to re-install freehand but the problem
persist..

I have cs4, dont know what versions you have, but this works for you:
Go to the Window tab at the top, click on Workspace, then click on Essentials (Default), this should retore your tools panels, how this helps you.

LOST TOOLS PANEL in Illustrator CS3 for Mac !

I recently installed Adobe CS3 for Mac on an iMac G5 OS X 10.4.11. Photoshop works great with no problems. However in Illustrator I cannot get my Tools Panel to appear. My "WINDOW" pull down menu in Illustrator only has the following options: "New Window", "Minimize Window", "Bring All to Front", "Attributes", "Info" and "Type". The "VIEW" pull down menu has many options but none seem to open up the Tools panel. None of my Drawing Tools, Shape Tools, Cutting Tools, Moving Tools etc are visible!
I have uninstalled and then re-installed CS3 to no avail. I have tried to reset the Adobe software preferences by simultaneously holding down "Command+Option+Shift+Control" during Illustrator launch, a tip I found online but it also failed to work.

This is what i think is wrong.
i think though you have installed AI three times you have also made an alias of the applications icon, or what you thin is an alias.
But what you probably have done is to make a copy of the application outside of the application folder.
If in fact you do think that you are launching fro an alias trash the alias and not and make a new one by holding down the command and option key as you drag the icon. What you probably did was only hold the option key down which made a copy of the application outside the application folder which could prevent these features from loading.
Now I have also heard there is a software conflict that can cause this but I admit I do not recall what that is.

Lost the horizontal tool panel down the left side of the screen. I can't find anyway to bring it back.

My tool panel disappeared on me and I have not been able to locate any option to bring it back. I have reset tools and nothing happened. There is supposed to be an options function that will bring it back but I can't find it.

Try
Window > Tools
and if that does not help try another Workspace (Window > Workspace > …).

FW CS4 Mac: Top left of window lost under Tools Panel and Application Bar

Hello!
Somehow Fireworks started opening all my windows pushed to the top left, and tucked under the tools panel and the new Applications Bar - the only way to move windows, is to un-snap the bars and pull them off of the top of the screen -- really annoying. I tried throwing out FW CS4's prefs files - no help. Changing the view mode - no help...
Help?

These are the steps that should be followed:
Restore default preferences
Quit Fireworks.
Locate the Fireworks      Preferences file on your hard disk and delete it.
The exact location of this file varies from system to system.
In Windows, preferences are      in your user-specific Fireworks configuration folder.
    Windows [Drive]:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\Application Data\Adobe\Fireworks CS#\English\
In Mac OS, preferences are in      the Library/Preferences folder in your user folder. For information about      locating your Mac OS user folder, see Apple Help.
Mac              [User]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Fireworks CS#/en/Fireworks Preferences
Note: On Mac OS, most      Fireworks user-specific configuration files are stored in your      user-specific Application Support folder.
          The Fireworks CS4 Preferences file is an exception.
3. Restart Fireworks.
The next time Fireworks is launched, a new preferences      file will be created that restores Fireworks to its original      configuration.

Hi there,
If your panels have disappeared, try pressing the tab button on your keyboard. Does that make them show up?
If you still cannot see your tools panel, check Window > Tools. Is there a check mark by the tools option? If not, click on it.

FW CS5 Tool Panels Not Showing

Hi,
When I load Adobe Fireworks CS5 it starts error-free and I can load and work on documents no problem. When I tab across to the "Align" panel or the "Color Palette" or try to use the "Auto Vector Mask" function, it comes up with a blank panel.
If I right click on the panel it says "Movie not loaded..."
Does Fireworks use Flash movie based tool panels? It seems like the software has lost the locations of these panels or perhaps they've been deleted somehow...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I've uninstalled the debugger, and Fireworks individually, and I've uninstalled the full Adobe CS5 Suite - then re-installed it all and I till have the same problem...
Surely i'm not the only one experiencing this issue...
On another note, a friend (with the same spec work pc) installed the flash debugger and his Fireworks install is fine.
I'm using Windows XP in case you were wondering.

Adobe CC just installed Acrobat DC. Where are my plug-ins from Acrobat 11? I use PitStop Professional but it is not in the tools panel. Do I need to reinstall?

Missing Tools Panel

I have just downloaded InDesign CS6. When I open a new document, I do not have the Tools Panel. I cannot find a solution. I have tried pressing ESC but this has no effect. Can anyone help me please? Thank you. Kevin

Why are the tear off tool panels so much larger in CS6?

Am I missing something? I typically tear off the tool panels for quick access. It appears the CS6 interface and made them much larger and they no longer neatly tuck into the top of my screen.
What is the funtion of the small dashed line at the top of each panel? It just seems to make the panel needlessly larger.
Ok, I see they are "handles" for docking the panels. I'd rather have the smaller panels!

How to display Tools panel in Photoshop Elements Organizer?

When I open Photosfop elements 11 Organizer the Tools panel is not displayed. Please help me,I can find no help in Adobe Help

No Brian. Normally when I open Organizer there is as vertical list of tools on the left side of the screen. Tonight that list of tools is not present. I want to add a caption in Organizer. Usually on the tools panel (long list of buttons on left of screen) there is T tool and I click that and drag the rectangle to a desired part of the photo and type the caption. Very simple if the Tools Panel is present.

How do I bring back my tools panel?

Hello,
When I had Illustrator open, I moved my Mac's view to the widgets desktop. When I went back to the desktop that had Illustrator, the tools panel and other panels were missing. I went back to the widgets desktop and the panels were there!
I could not figure out how to get them back over to the correct desktop, so I closed them. Now, back in Illustrator, I can't figure out how to open them up again.
I'd like to go back to the default setting. Please help!

Sometimes hitting essentials is necessary as it iss the easiest way.
But if you have your panels all set up the way you want then you will ahve to do that all over.
So you should remmebr this, the three commans keyboard invoked actions that cause such problems are a s follows Command H is Hide Edges, Command Shift B is Hide Bounding Box and if hit the Tab key and do not have atrext string active the tools and panels will disappear hitting it again will bring them back. The previous two will also make the edges and bounding box visable as well if yoiu hit them again.

It may be time for the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

This is a really cool feature. But why can not I stick the toolbar vertically on the bottom or top? So as the control bar?
Why all this Ai interface is not intended for displays and vertical work?
I have a wide monitors but still in level in them is wasted.
When working with tools, manufactured home habits, it helps me work faster and without thinking where is the tool. Just reach for instinctively and there.
Current interface Ai acts on the contrary, makes me think of where the tool is retracted and now look at my job as through the keyhole, because so many things are on the right or left.
This presentation is fun, but only as a demo in advertising. : (

You don't give much information, but assuming you are new to FreeHand go to top menu and choose Window > Tools. The panel will show again.
If you are still losing the panel, it may be a corrupt Preferences file. On a Mac, Go to "User"/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Freehand/11/English/Settings. Remove the Preferences file and put it on your desktop or somewhere else. Restart Freehand so it goes back to a default setting.
Next, you could replace the file with the old one and then restart Freehand again and all of your old settings "should" come back. Or just keep the default prefs and rest it all manually.
