Help mac not transferring data
I just got my new macbook pro and everytime i try to transfer anything to a USB flash drive the file shows up on my macbook but doesnt show up on other computers. then if i try to erase the file on the macbook it erases it but the amount of memory on the usb drive does not change. Can anyone help me ?

Most USB Flash drives come pre-formatted for Windows not Mac, have you erased it and formatted it with Disc Utility before doing this ?

Hot Sycn not transferring data
My Palm Z22 was working fine. All of a sudden it quit transferring data between desktop and palm. I have removed my palm program a couple of times and tried reinstalling from both the install disk and the download. I have read every trouble shooting page I could find. I am very frustrated, as I cannot seem to find a solution. I can add data on both the desktop and the palm, but I cannot transfer. As a result, my desktop is blank from mulitple remove and installs, and my palm has all of the information. Please help.

Sony Bridge for Mac not transferring all music
Hello I am experiencing a problem with transferring music from my Mac to my Xperia T. For some reason some of my music is "grayed out" in Bridge for Mac whilst others appear a more light font colour which I am able to drag and drop to sync to my Xperia phone. I have tried putting my music into a playlist in itunes which bridge for mac seems to detect and sync however when i go into my phone and access the playlist it says "no content available" any idea why this is? It's not DRM related because some of the music are my own productions and other DRM free files. I have also tried moving my music into the folders in which my available music is stored and that too does not work. Any help? Can't seem to find anything about this online. I am using Bridge for Mac version 3.4 thanks
Hi Iksdt! I have been in contact with the development crew now. It's a known problem. Can you please give me the filenames of the songs. It will also be relay good if you can send me the log-file.
Here’s how to get error logs from Sony Bridge for Mac:
1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start
2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...
3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the ”Xperia” menu. Select "Export logs"
4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip
5. PM a shared dropbox link to me with the file. Best regards Fredrik -
Ok so recently i updated my mac from mountain lion 10.8 to 10.8.2 and then i installed windows 7 exceptthe windows 7 install failed and gives the the messaging saying that an unexpected error took olace during the process and then it restarts and gives me the exact same message
None of the boot commands are working
But the keyboard can type when i bring up command prompt before the message
Could it be that the keyboard is just asleep on boot ? Is there any way i can fix this i will even buy an external drive if it will work please reply asap
Note : i dont care if i loose anything on the mac i just want it to work again
I would prefer not to go to the store please help i will love yous forever thanks

I had to get my iPhone 5c fixed today because there was a problem with syncing itunes files from my laptop; I changed the names of some of the song files/artists from my laptop and attempted to sync it to my iphone, but that created a corruption in the process, which in turn ceased any kind of syncing altogether. So my iphone is restored/fixed, but I still have to deal with having itunes purchases and old CD data listed as "Various Artists" or "Unknown Artist."
The Mac employer who helped me told me about an app that can identify those "Unknown Artist" files and interpret the data so that the iphone can recognize it. I know that's kind of a conveluted description, but he basically said that I can type in the name of an album, and the app will identify the relevent artist name/album artwork (within a database of music info, i'm guessing) and send it over to itunes.
I can't for the life of me remember the name of the app, but I know it starts with an S, and the app icon has the color red. I searched the music apps, but I can't seem to find it, so i'm guessing it's under a different category.
Does anybody know the app that i'm talking about?The outer brown outline is just the background from the website I saw this on. Only look at the white frame. Then you can see the black frame around the photo. Please help!!

I have retried and by removing dates from text which inevitably dilutes the data ie dates of the problems
It will only accept the one date in the section When was the problem first noted

Help needed with transferring data.
Hi. I store about 30GB of music on a Western Digital External Hard Drive, connect this to a Packard Bell laptop and transfer it to a Creative Zen Vision M. Recently I bought a MacBook and have created a lot of music on it. I am trying to get the music from my MacBook onto the hard drive (or alternatively the Packard Bell laptop). I have tried moving the music from my Macbook directly onto the external hard drive, but apparently it is 'read-only' and I cannot change this. I've tried copying the files onto DVD-Rs but as I do not have a DVD burner, the MacBook immediately ejects any DVD-Rs I place in it. Any ideas???
Well - you could reformat your drive to FAT32 using Disk Utility. Probably not the ideal solution, but it could work if you save the data first. I'd recommend using a different external drive formatted in FAT32, or maybe a large USB flash drive (or memory cards) if you've got one.
I have several external drives and a drive enclosure. One (from SimpleTech) was automatically formatted as an NTFS drive (didn't see that notice before I plugged it into my PC at work). It wouldn't read on my iBook G4 but is OK on my MacBook. I think now that it mounts, I could probably reformat it if necessary. Another Western Digital drive came FAT32 formatted. -
HELP: Fenix Notes crashes, data lost
I just updated apps, synced and backed up phone. Now the updated Fenix Notes 1.2.3 (not the Lite version) crashes. I deleted it and downloaded it again via the App Store on the phone. Same result. I resynced with same result. Is there a way for me to install the app and retrieve data from somewhere in my iMac library?
There is an enormous glitch with the manner that Notes are being synced between the iPhone & desktops. Or even Apple's own Mail. Even within Mail itself there are huge problems with the system. So I can only imagine the situation on your side.
Excuse my language, but in essence, Apple is sodomizing it's users. For choosing to use Apple software & apps.
How in **** do a whole bunch of simple notes suddenly duplicate themselves when all I did was move them between mailboxes? Then, when I delete the duplicates, how come everything disappears? When I manage to figure everything out, why does a sync with the iPhone not honour the changes?
Wake up Apple engineers. This is not a small issue for the simple fact that Notes was touted as a big feature. So what happens when someone like CA2DC get royally screwed for simply choosing to trust your system?

If you did not backup your "data" then you have no options.
You have to have the data in order to move the data. -
I am trying to transfer data from source to target where target has the following dims:Time (dense),version (dense),Year (dense),Product (sparse) and Hierarchy (sparse)the source: Time (dense),Measures (dense),version (dense), Year (dense), Product (sparse) and Hierarchy (sparse)the dimensions are the same except for the Measures dim which appears in source and not target. My calc command is:"Total Assets" = @XREF(FundsProfitdb,"Total Assets","Funds Profit");where Funds Profit is the measure in the source db. I get no values on the target db after running this. Any ideas?
I assume the Total Assets member in the target is part of a dense dimension - if it is, the issue could be block creation related.If the target database starts out empty, this calculation will not create blocks for you. Depending on what you are trying to transfer, there are a couple of solutions:1) Use the @XREF calculation after you load the target cube with some initial values. This will create blocks which the calculation can then populate with some values from the source2) Re-arrange the formula to place a sparse dimension member on the left hand side of the formula. This approach may not be practical, based on your database config. I am migrating from a Netware 6.5 SP8 server to SLES11 / OES11
Both servers are now up and running, certificates checked and valid.
I run the miggui UI and can setup the netware server as source, and the SLES11 as destination. I can add a consolidate task and browse both file structures (both NSS). I drag the folders I want to migrate accross, choose a few basic settings and start the job
I get to stage 3, Starting MIgrate Phase. When I look at the log, I can see the miggui has correctly worked out the size of the voiume for progress feedback..
Then nothing.. none of the files copy.
I have rebooted servers, recreates jobs, checked new server has a full replicate of the entire OU with the volumes in it, I just cant get the data to move.
Can someone advise on what I can do to push this through OR recommend another tool for migrating data from Netware OES to SLES11 OES

There are also debug logs in the same directory that you obtained the miggui logs. They usually show more information. -
0EC_PCA_3 does not return data in RSA3 if the target system is entered

Datasource 0EC_PCA_3 is not transferring data to the BW 7.0 system. In the ECC 6.0 system datasource 0EC_PCA_3 does not return data in RSA3 if the target system (BWDCLNT100) is entered in the selection fields. When omitting the target system all expected data is returned.
Datasource 0EC_PCA_1 works fine for the same target system.
There is one thread dealing with the same problem but the person does not provide the solution he found.
Does anyone know what the issue is?

József.The problem was solved by removing the datasource in both BW and R/3 and activating everything from scratch again. We didn't find out what was the cause of the problem, but at least it is working now.

I have recently transferred data from my old PC to my new Mac Book Pro (Mavericks OS). Each transfer creates a new User account (titled 'Owner', 'Owner 1', etc). I want to merge / consolidate the files from these newly created User accounts into my main user account. Is there a tutorial for this process, or any tips? Anyone?
Four transfers. After the initial attempt with Migration Assistant failed (after hours and hours of wifi transfer) I did "mini-transfers" of more manageable, smaller bits of files -- my music in one, photos in another, etc. Since posting my question in this forum, i contacted Apple support, chatted with Angela, and she suggested getting an ethernet-USB adapter for my mac, connecting my external drive with ethernet and transferring files manually -- that is, NOT using the Migration Assistant at all. Just transferred data to iMac from working Mac Pro that is using Parallels and Windows 7 and the Biblesoft 5 and it will not open on the iMac the only change is the new Maverick OS from the macpro Lion OS. Any ideas?
<Personal Information Edited by Host>Setup Assistant and Migration Assistant do not restore MS Windows, it only does the OS X partition. All of your Windows stuff must be backed up and restore using a MS Windows application. If no one on this forum is able to answer your question then I'd repost it on a Parallels forum to see how other Windows users approach this.
