Help - Mac OS X color themes overriding AWT objects
I'm trying to set the background color of a button, but Mac OS X is overriding it. Does anyone know how to make it stop doing that?
My question is -- what are these?
They are sub-packages. The main XCode installer will install all the components by invoking the individual installers. The packages are separated in case you want to install the individual components (e.g. just install X11 without all the other parts).
As to whether you need them, that's only something you can answer based on what you're trying to do.
There's no harm in installing them even if you don't intend/expect to use them, other than eating a little disk space.

Can someone help me with color theme
I have play a bit with my website, which is a clothing store site. I was trying to sell some women's clothing only at beginning. But now I would like to sell men's clothing as well. If you go in have a look, you would know the whole color theme is pink. It was ok for women's clothing, but now I have men's wear. Can someone give me some suggestion on colors? I don't want to change the framework, just change the color.

Help correcting Color theme service
I was trying to chabge my Sublime theme color changing directly the source code of Sublime, then it crashed. But after I tried to work in VS 2013 and it crashed a lot showing me a message about a VS exception caused by an extension. It said I should check the

I don't remember the exact settings I used in the mixer but as you can see the red channel is the most effected and the green just a little. So I reflected those conditions in the mixer. More blue...more green but less than blue... and less red. Trying not to blow highlights or shadows. This adjustment in mono by the way.
Then copied and pasted at the top of the pallet...erased the mixer layer. Then used a mask to bring color from the background that was not effected by the damaged red channel by painting on the mask. Then I just finished coloring the damaged areas still in grayscale using the eyedropper to select colors from the non-damages areas and painting on color mode layers.

Hi gang,
Seems like every week or so, I open InDesign CC, and it comes up in that horrid dark user color theme. I change it to the light theme. But a week later, it starts up dark again. I'm not sure, but it might be happening after a patch. Anyone else seeing this? This is happening on my Creative Cloud subscription, Win7 version; not my Mac OS 10.8.

This is the third time this week that I've had to re-instal After Effects and about to be the fourth.
I get this "DVA Color Themes V2" error and then After Effects won't open. Not only does this keep happening, but it's happening with 2 different CC acounts on 2 different Mac Pros.
Once I uninstall (clean) After Effects, then Creative Cloud desktop says it will no longer work on this system. It says "click here" to install the newest version. It takes me to a webpage that says, "click here" to install CC Desktop.
When I click on that, it tries to open the existing CC desktop again. So I run the CC Cleaner and uninstall CC desktop.
Once that's all done, I click on the website again to install CC desktop. The browser says "Can't connect to" aas://jhfdsahifdhsuailfhduisla .... (Paraphrasing)
I restart the system. Install CC Desktop, Install After Effects. After I waste an hour on all that it works for about a day. Then it happens again. It can't be just me since it's on multiple systems, but nobody is having this issue upon a Google search. Please help! I'm so tired of this intall/reinstall/uninstall process.Idem pour moi , heureusement que j'ai After Effects CC . Que ce passe-t-il ?

FAQ: UI - How can I change the color theme, size of the text, or turn off the application frame?
CHANGING THE INTERFACE COLOR SCHEME:
The Photoshop CS6 default interface is dark, but if you prefer the lighter interface you are used to from earlier versions,
you can change it back in the appearance area. There are 4 default color themes.
Mac Photoshop > Preferences > Interface
Windows Edit > Preferences > Interface
CONFIGURING LARGER FONTS:
For those who need larger fonts, you can also change the UI Font Size down in the type area.
Be sure to restart Photoshop to see the changes.
TURNING OFF THE APPLICATION FRAME
CS6 opens now by default in "Application Frame". You can go Window>Application Frame in the main meu and uncheck thisSelect the title / text and then click on the "i" (inspector). A colored pin wheel shows up after you click on the square box directly below the font settings inside the inspector window. Then simply drag the dot to the color you want. Like this:

Issue in Color Theme on the map with ADF geographic components
I am facing an issue in bringing up a map using color theme .I can able to bring up a map with color themes using geographic components feature in ADF.
The problem here is 'Edit Color Map Theme' dialog which lists Map Theme in five categories like continents,counties,countries,states_abbrev,states_names.
we had implemented map using Color Theme based on the states_abbrev and found it was working properly.
But after some days we found that the settings we made to work for the map no longer works and resulted in no color theme on the map being displayed on the page.
It was found that the states_names works properly instead of states_abbrev by that time.
But again after some days it didnt work with state_names and we revert back our code to follow state_abbrev so as to get the desired result.
Does somebody know where is the problem and how to approach this issue?Quick Install is gone.
Database repair doesn't work.
Color coded categories is gone, and as you've discovered Theme colors are gone.
Print to Excel is gone.
Many desktop clients that worked with 4.2 do not work.
It won't work with legacy devces.
and others.... There are lots of complaints about 6.2 scattered around the forums. Personally, the HotSync manager keeps forgetting the connections I've set, and goes to default views.
You aren't missing much of anything, IMHO.

I use different languages in my daily activities, when typing other than English Mac does not recognize them, is there anyway can Mac stop suggesting or automatically correcting me?
Is this a problem with the computer or with the word processor? MS Word for example seems to think its grammar and spelling are better than mine - they are not. You have to go into MS Word preferences and uncheck all the useless "help" it wants to provide.

I believe I had leopard and I was having issues getting errors of system not being supported. I contacted Apple and was advised I needed to upgrade to snow leopard. My laptop is from 2009 and I haven't done anything to it till now. The apple rep also stated I should do a fresh install when putting snow leopard on so my laptop would run faster. Apple rep told me to get a external hard drive to put my info on it so the fresh install would reset everything to like it was brand new. I had someone help me with getting everything on the EHD.. doing the right format and such and then once that was done I put in the CD for snow leopard and hit install. Which brings me to now, with everything but my pictures. I have the EHD plugged in... now what? What do I do? I have looked in the EHD in iphoto and it was all standard images *not my pictures but images of a check mark or an arrow again not actual pictures. I don't see a folder pictures and i looked for images and found nothing. I have Applications, Included Free Designs, Library, System, User Guides and Information and Users, those are my options and non of those have a "pictures"

I'm trying to make a small adjustment to my color theme. If you have used X-Chat Aqua, you'll notice that in the Blue OS X color theme, highlighted tabs are in blue, and easily identified. However, when the color scheme is grey, highlighted tabs are in a slightly darker grey, so I have to tilt my display back and forth to tell which tab is the active one. I prefer the grey theme, but want to change the highlighting color of the active tab. This does not have anything to do with the highlighting color in the OS X settings as I already have that set to turquoise. Does anyone know how to change this? Someone suggested Magnifique, but that seems like it will only install a whole new color theme, not let me change individual settings as I desire. It seems as though I can create my own color scheme, but that I would have to start from scratch, when really I'd want to start with the OS X graphite theme, because that one works just fine for me, with the exception of the active tab color for certain applications. Anyone know how to solve this one?

HT1338 Mac mini display color setting problem
On my Mac mini the color displat settings are gone pinkish. I checked the HDMI cable to the LCD TV and it is okay. Help me to resolve the problem
To check if this is something in your current user account, Log Out from the Apple menu, to get to the login screen. Does the screen look "pinkish" at the login screen? If it does, there is a problem related to the overall system, or hardware.
If things look normal at the login screen, then the problem is probably related to a setting in your user account. Log in to your normal user account. One place to check is System Preferences Universal Access pane. On the Seeing tab, look at the Enhance contrast setting. Make sure it is set to Normal. -

I lost all my color themes in the update from Kuler to Color CC.
When I went to use the Kuler app on my phone, I saw it is now Color CC. All of the color themes are gone! How can I retrieve them? I've logged into my Adobe acct and they are not there. Please help!
Please take a look at these steps below. Let me know if this guidance does not help.
If you have signed in to your Color (aka Kuler) app before, your themes are safe. Most likely, your themes are all synced to the Color service. Here’s how to find them:
Website: navigate to color.adobe.com and sign in. Click on the "My Themes" tab. Your colors should be showing up there. Note, at this moment in time, you cannot save themes from the color.adobe.com website directly to a library. This only works with the iOS application.
iPhone/iPad: if you aren’t seeing your themes, but you are signed in, the problem is most likely solved by switching the library you are using. You can do this by tapping the menu bar at the top of the theme gallery. From here, you will see a menu that allows you to select to either save themes to color.dobe.com or to a CC library. Your old themes are stored in the color.adobe.com option.
Desktop software: (I.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign) you can always find your colors on the Color Themes panel. This is located in Windows/Extensions/Color Themes for PS and ID. And, Windows/Color Themes for Ai. If you are looking for a color that you saved to a library from the mobile app, you can find this in Window/Library. Note, you must have the most current versions of PS, AI, and ID for this to work.
If you have never signed in to the app before, you themes are not saved. The only option you will have, at this point, is to restore your phone from a back-up via iTunes. Note, we’re working to release a new update that will allow users to carry themes forward to the updated version. And, I’m really sorry about any problems this may have caused. Searching for existing color palettes in "Color Themes" Illustrator
Unable to seach existing themes in Color Themes panel Illustrator CC. Do I need to somehow save "All themes" from Adobe Color CC?

Make sure that you are signed in to the CC profile thru the Illustrator preferences. Once you create the themes on the Adobe color site. You should see the themes load into the Theme palette.
Try resetting the preferences to see if that helps. Also try signing out and sign back in to the profile to trigger the themes to sync
