HELP! Macbook mail jpg attachments out of alignment

I sure hope someone can help me.
When I format my jpg photo attachments to be Center in an email announcement, they arrive at their destination flush Left. This started a week ago, for some unknown reason. I'm using Rich Text, not Plain Text. Why did this start happening? More importantly, how can I get format to work properly again?

No one here can answer that as this is an international message board. Your best bet is to ask the repair shop. Make sure you get the labor costs, taxes, etc included so that you will have the total repair estimate.
NOTE: If you purchased the computer with a credit card, discuss the warranty issue with the credit card company which you purchased the computer with. They are the only ones who can at this point cover the computer after it goes out of warranty with the manufacturer (Apple).
If you have Homeowners insurance, place a claim with them.

Completely new macbook pro 15" screen out of alignment.

I ordered my first Macbook pro 15" retina on december 24th 2013 as a Christmass gift for myself. I recived it on my address January 2'nd i unboxed it an was really happy about, the only thing that annoyed me a bit was that the sceen is like half a milimeter to 1 milimeter out of allignment with the body, i know this isn't alot but i am a bit of a perfectionist so it annoyed me a little, so i told myself that it might just be normal that it is a little out of allignment.
but today my girlfriend recived her Macbook pro 13" retina, and it is perfectly alignet with the body, so i decided that i had to ask in here if this is a common thing,
Do i have to worry about this? will my screen become lose or even more out of alignment over time? or am i just to way sensetive and have to take a chill pill
But again i paid almost 3000$ for the Macbook with Apple Care, so i dont want to walk around being worried about it having a failure from the factory,
And 3000$ is alot of cash when you under education like me.
i live in Denmark so i can't just take it to a Apple store and ask them to look at it, and if i have to return it then i have no laptop and i have quite alot of homework atm :/

I called them and described the problem, and the guy in the phone immediately told that he was sorry, and that he will get me an other Macbook pro as fast a possible, and then he will send TNT to pick up my old one when i have recieved the new one.
I should recieve a new Macbook on monday, and TNT will call me within 48 hours to arrange the pick up of my old Macbook,

Need help macbook won't come out of sleep mode

Please help I have had my macbook since may of 2006 and this is my first real problem with it.
I basically been loading videos to watch and then downloading some of the videos,once the process had been started I would leave to allow the videos to load/download but when I come back I find the macbook in a state of sleep and the only way that I can think of to getit out of this is to shut it down and reboot.
This is my first mac and up until now I was quite impressed so please help to not soil the good Apple name.

I'm a newbie so I might not answer your question, but if you leave the macbook open and it goes to sleep, then you just have to press the power button and it should turn back on. I always thought though that if you let it sleep, then you won't be able to download anything because the computer disconnects from the internet during sleep. Am I right? Lol, now I'm asking the questions.

Please help! Mail is freaking out on me!

Mail is downloading thousands of messages into my inbox, i think it's old emails from my yahoo account (the email service i use), but normally in my in-box i have about 100 messages. they keep coming and won't stop, even when i quit mail and go back in, they keep coming. Each message seems to be coming in multiple times. Also, i am not receiving new messages. anyone know what i can do?

And what are all those messages doing on the server? What are your Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Remove copy from server settings? If you leave the messages on the server indefinitely, Mail may eventually end up losing track of which messages have already been downloaded, maybe as a result of some changes made at the server.
I don’t think you’ll be able to fix this problem without moving a significant amount of messages out of the server’s inbox. You may tell Mail to remove from the server all the messages that have already been downloaded by means of Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Remove now. Alternatively, you may use the Account Info window to remove specific messages from the server — choose Get Info (⌘I) from the Action menu (gear icon) located below the mailbox list in the main Mail window.
If the account allows web access, however, it may be preferable to remove the messages from the server that way, or at the very least move the messages to other server-stored mailboxes if the server provides that functionality via webmail.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

As Don already pointed out, exactly what the recipient sees will depend on how they've set up their machine and what unnecessary 3rd party apps they might've installed to display attachments the way they want.
In theory, that is true. In practice, Attachment Tamer will cause more of your messages to show up as plain-jane icons on the other end. The problem is, after all, people running Outlook 2003 and 2007. These people likely aren't doing many system modifications.
If I were you, I'd use the free solutions provided above, save my money and let my recipients decide how they will handle their mail.

Mail is squishing / squashing / distorting certain jpg attachments

Somehow my last post got marked as 'solved' by me, by accident.
Searched around and have seen this question in some form, but no answer. I have more/new details from my own trouble shooting
Mail is sometimes squashing or distorting certain .JPG attachments when sent to others. Not all the time, just sometimes. The best way to describe it is it turns them into not quite accurate thumbnails. Re-saved as a JPEG-2000 in preview fixes it, but then if I convert back to .JPG, same issue.
Doesn't work if file name is converted to .JPEG.
Restarting mail and computer doesn't help.
Doesn't happen with ALL .JPG's, just some. For the ones it happens to, it happens each time.
Oddly enough, when the .JPG is attached with a Word file, no issues at all. Doesn't matter if it's an image I'm having issues with prior.
I do not believe it's a Mac or PC issue, as when I send it to my personal gmail account and access it there through Gmail's site, the image is distorted in the viewer and remains distorted when I open it up using preview on my mac. Oddly, the same messages forwarded back from Gmail using the web browser to Mac Mail do not have this issue.
Also while in Gmail, when you to to save the image, you have to right click it in the body of the text. The dropdown is now gone. Once you right click it, it prompts you to save it as 'unnamed.jpg.' wich is NOT what I'm sending.
Here's what I'm running:

iMac Mid 2011
Mail 7.3
Mail is set to Plain Text for all messages.

Sorry, I should note messages sent from gmail to Mac Mail do not have this issue.

NHS Mail: recurrent lock out on MacBook Pro

I need some help finding out what my MacBook is doing in the background with NHS Mail (for info see http://systems.hscic.gov.uk/nhsmail)
So the issue is that I can set up on iPhone and iPad and it works fine but recently my macbook is locking me out of the account. I followed all the advice to remove cache from browsers in case that was an issue and also anything in key chain.
However trying to set up my NHS account again on my MacBook (running Yosemite) has led to a 5 minute period of loading emails and my calendar then all of a sudden the account locks out. Something else is happing and I cannot work it out. NHS Mail ay I have to take this to Apple but how do I do that other than the community?
This is a big issue when one is dependant on this technology for scheduling and communicating with colleague on clinical care issues.
Please can someone help?

Assuming this is an iCloud mail account, sign out of iCloud in its preference pane, then sign back in with the new password.

Macbook Screen Out of Alignment

So, I'm extremely careful when it comes to my computer. It is always in it's protective sleeve when not in use. Despite this, it's starting to show some wear. I'm fine with that, but just recently, the screen has come out of alignment with the body of the computer. By this is mean that when the screen is closed it closes at the slight angle, and does not line up with the rest of the computer. I'm not yet sure if this is affecting the computer in any way other than appearance, but has anyone else ahd this problem? Is the repair covered by the warranty?

My wife's Macbook has this problem. We took it to the geniuses at the Apple store. They said that this problem occurs when the notebook is dropped or display otherwise torqued in an unnatural direction. My wife is extremely careful with her Macbook, so I doubt that this is the problem, but whatever. The genius said that they are unable to do anything about it.
I would be curious to hear what other people's experiences have been like.

TS2998 Help!!! All of a sudden my "send" in Mail is greyed out and i cannot send emails. Any ideas, I can receive them ok.

Connection doctor says all accounts are connected.
I have two email accounts setup and my business one appears to be ok (can reply and send ok).
The main account has the "send" button greyed out.
And now my F4 button does not open the set apps e.g. calender/calculator etc instead it opens "manage widgets"
This all seems to have started since the system updated OSX to 10.6.8

Mail on iPad not downloading JPG attachments

The "Mail" app on my iPad2 has recently started to not download JPG files.
The JPG attachment shows as the "download arrow". Nothing happens when I press it (to force a download) or press-and-hold it (to save it). This problem is restricted to the iPad as the JPG attachments are visible both in Mail on my Mac and via iCloud through a browser.
Strangely, if I 'forward' the mail to myself (from the iPad) and chose 'include attachment', the incoming email now downloads the JPG attachment and, if you press-and-hold, the 'save image' menu appears. Clearly this is a work-around but not really very suitable.
This may be a coincidence but this appears to have started after I moved from MobileMe to iCloud !
Any ideas ?

Jpg attachments are missing on e-mails

Since I have installed Leopard, my jpg attachments are missing on some e-mails.
The picture is there, but the paperclip is missing
If I send a PDF file or any other file it is working ok

I have seen the same problem. Some times the jpg seems to be missing. What I have been doing is to save the jpg to the desk top. Even though I could not see it I knew it was there. The subject made reference to the attached picture or some such. As it will save it had to have been there some where. If I want to forward this e-mail I just reattach the jpg that I saved to the desk to. I tried just forwarding the e-mail but the jpg (attachment or whatever) did get transmitted.

You can either update your os by going to Software Update or download the combo update from Apple Download site. See the Download tab at the top of this site.
Go to Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and select your volume and then select Repair Permissions. Directions are also detailed in the Finder help menu

winmail.dat files usually mean that the email has been sent in 'rich text format' - you could ask the person who sent it to you to send it a different format (e.g. plain text or HTML) or there are a few apps in the app store that support it (search the store for 'winmail.dat')

Macbook optical drive/ out of alignment?

I was just about to burn a DVD when I realized my computer wont take the disk
theres no disk in it. It appears I could force the disk in but I dont want to do that.
Is it out of alignment? is that covered in the standard apple warranty?
This happened on my previous iBook and the tech guy said it was my fault (I bent something?), but it was so easy he fixed it for free.

Try rebooting your machine. I have had the drive mechanism get stuck and rebooting made it cycle. If this happens often you should get it serviced.
