Help, MacbookPro malfunctions watching videos
Please help, I've tried looking at other threads to figure out what's wrong with my computer but to no avail.
Problem: when I watch videos on youtube, the video starts getting distorted and the computer starts slowing down to a crawl. The ball spins forever, I have to exit and restart the computer. I tried removing flashplayer and actually it did seem to help a great deal. However, you need flashplayer for most videos so that option isn't that helpful. I tried watching Netflix which uses silverlight and the same thing happens. I also tried watching a dvd on my computer and I get a similar result after watching for quite some time, only it isn't as bad as watching video on the internet--the video just becomes choppy and freezes at times. Here is my etrecheck report. Would installing more ram help in any way (installing another 4 GB)? Any help would be extremely appreciated! I will apologize ahead of time because I am not a techy. Some of the things mentioned on the threads are way over my head. But I will try to do my best. Thank you.

What do KiesAgent and fuspredownloader in your User Login Items do? What do the EPPEX and RL Secure plugins do?
Have you tried disabling all four of your User Internet Plug-ins above, to see if they’re having an effect on your video watching?

Help - SYNC problem watching video on Fancast
On both of my computers , When I watch a video on Fancast and other sites that use Flash Player the video and voice is not in sync. The longer you watch the farther the voice and video gets out of sync. The voice is ahead of the video. The video is also a little choppy. I use Firefox and Explorer browsers and both have the same problem. I have updated both as well as Flash Player on both computers. When I watch videos that use other players I do not have this problem. So if anyone can help please do ,it is not good to watch shows so out of sync.

Hi, basically i have no sound at all on my Iphone, it doent notify me when i get a text, when someone rings, when i play music or watch videos, the volume slider that is usually present while watching videos or listening to music is no longer there at all, ive turned my phone on and off a couple of times now ive put headphones in and out to see if i had a sticky jack but still no luck Someone help??
And to clarify, these are all iTunes movie and music downloads, so there should not be a compatability issue. And no, the iPod did not come damaged from Apple, it was a hand-me-down from a friend who busted the internal speaker. But it's never done anything like this before. It just had crappy sound. And yes, the timing of the movies and music having issues is the same as the speaker dying. And no, this has NOTHING To do with music videos. I don't have any on any of our devices.

I have a mac book pro and have already downloaded adobe flash player. However when i go to watch a video it says "Blocked Plug In". But my adobe is already up to date. Can someone help me to fix this so i can watch videos?
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 7. Back up all data before making any changes.

You might have to log out or reboot before a Flash update takes effect.

In the Safari preference window, select

my ipod was working fine i could watch videos and everything was great until one day it started freezeing everytime i tryied to watch a video but i kept trying until one day it asked me to restore the ipod so i did but it kept telling me to restore it again and again. I restored it like 15 times but it wouldnt work. Then I downloaded the latest version of itunes and it worked but i still cant watch videos and it's really frustrating! I can watch the videos in itunes but on the ipod I just see a black screen with the play icon on the left and it just freezez, i have to restart it or connect it to the computer for it to work again. I used videora ipod converter to convert the videos and it was fine at the begining but i usud some other converters now to see if maybe the videora was the problem but the other ones don't work either. PLEASE HELP ME!! ASAP!You said your iTunes was up to date, what about your iPod?

Try righ clicking the video in iTunes, then go to convert selection for iPod. Anything happen?

My sound has recently gone on my iphone4s, this only happens when I use my phone myself. Remove all apps from multitasking bar. Double click Home button then tap and hold an icon and tap on little x on every app. Then reset. Hold down Home and Power button until Apple logo appears.

I have a iPhone 4S and when watching videos on the internet sound cuts out as the video is playing. The rest of the video plays with no sound. Sometimes when I pause It and play again sound comes back but not all the time. can anyone help?
The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check. -

Thank you so much.Videos are heavy files. While the internet speed may look o.k for websites, and other light weight things videos tend to need faster internet.
It may just need buffering, also iPad in youtube at least defaults to the highest possible quality for the videos, which also means the videos get very very heavy. 1080p video can very very large. in the hundreds of megabytes.
Think over MB for a short 5 minute video at 1080p. If your internet is not fast enough it will stop to buffer. It will also resume playing once its buffered enough.
If you pause it at the beginning and let it buffer a bit, it may be able to last a bit longer.
Most videos have a load indicator in the position bar. Its usually a lighter gray to show its loading the video, keep an eye on that and make sure there's enough of the gray bar so it won{t catch up while playing it. -

I tried watching videos using various apps such as meta tube etc.. But after 10 secs instead of video "Q" water mark comes and sound goes on. Can someone help?
The only app you specifically mention is meta tube. No way to tell from the description on the app page where they source the material (I suspect primarily YouTube), and no reviews as of yet. You might want to contact the vendor.
If you are getting the same results from established streaming apps, such as YouTube or Jasmine, I would say you have a connection speed issue (keeping the stream from properly buffering). Hard to say.
Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset. -
